You chose to apply to that business. They are interested in your resume.

The door is propped open. It is your time to show you are exactly the person they need. Be truthful; don't gush.

Jesus is knocking on doors (hearts). Either we are going to open and invite him in: or we will refuse, or say comeback next week.

    But next week never comes.

I/m sorry, if I miss lead you! Yes ,I do believe and know that the Holy Spirit is a person in the trinity ."Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost."

The covering is talking about hair. A woman should not have a mans haircut and a man should not have long hair. Sometimes we have no choice, if we go bald. But the point is a woman should not be or dress like a man and the man should not put on womens clothes. Like gay men and women do.

Abram lied to pharaoh about Sarai being his sister and God sent a plague on pharoah"s land was this acceptable by God that he lied? He did'nt lie. Sarah was his sister. Half sister. Read again. The plague had nothing to do with Abrams none lie.

If when we die as a believer, the Spirit goes to be with God, our old bodies do not. We will be given new bodies.

It is amazing that you don't believe the Holy Spirit Is a part of the trinity. Father, Son and the Holy Spirit .

personally I think Paula White is a wolf in sheep's clothing as the company she keeps like hinn and Copland and TD Jakes who embraces Opra Winfrey even after she has denied Christ on camera just like Olsteen. Trump is too new and spiritually immature to recognize phonies like I was when I first believed. I can't believe someone in his circle hasn't ministered to him about false prophets like the bible warns us about over and over again.

Sharon, I feel compelled to say that you are altogether wrong in your understanding of God's Holy Spirit. This is nothing less than utter blasphemy & I would sincerely request you to read the Scriptures and learn who God is & the Blessed Holy Spirit He has sent to convict the world of its sin, righteousness, and coming judgement. To even suggest that the Spirit is connected to material things in the natural world is gross error & are musings from your mind & not from the Word of God.

I think that this would apply to the verses preceding verse 3: about the husband divorcing his wife, she re-marrying & then returning to her first husband. This is likened to harlotry.

In like manner, Judah had committed harlotry with God by departing from Him & serving idols & doing wickedly. They carried the image of a "whore's forehead" (a whore) who pranced about unashamedly & as if nothing was wrong. For this behaviour, God had withheld rain from them & punished them in other ways.

Old Simeon was longing to see the "consolation of Israel" ( Luke 2:25-35) & was assured by God that he would do so before he died. What Mary & Joseph heard from Simeon were prophetical utterances (vv 30-32), including other things that he had said which are not given to us, that were maybe not revealed earlier to them, or were a further confirmation to them about God's Hand upon this Child & for His great task ahead.

Earlier, cousin Elizabeth, had exclaimed other words/prophecies about Jesus ( Luke 1:44-55). It may well be that Mary & Joseph 'marvelled' (wondered) at Simeon's words, since he wasn't related to them & these things were now being revealed to him. Or, that from his utterances, their own understanding of this Divine Birth was made more clear. And then the prophetess, Anna, also made spectacular utterances (2:36-38). All of these encounters caused them to marvel at the Hand of God upon them, their Child & the nation.

I gleaned the below narrative from Bible Truth Publishers as there wasn't much about them in the Bible:

"The beginning of this chapter gives us a brief sketch of the history of two judges in Israel-Tola and Jair-both eminent men. The first was renowned for his descent, his ancestors being mentioned in Genesis amongst the sons of Israel who went down into Egypt-namely, Tola and Puah among the sons of Issachar ( Gen. 46:13; 1 Chron. 8:1). The second was conspicuous for his wealth, the number of his sons, his prosperity (c. f. chap. 5:10), and his cities. But, strange to say; nothing else is added.

Their rule continued for nearly the same length of time. God made use of them, qualifying even Tola " to save Israel" by (Rev. Ver.), but He did not glorify Himself by them in any special way. This reminds us of 1 Cor. 1:26-29; "Not many mighty, not many noble, are called. But God bath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; and base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things, which are not, to bring to naught things that are; that no flesh should glory in His presence."

God uses, in preference, weak vessels, and that is the reason why so many of the judges bear, in one way or another, the stamp of weakness. On the other hand, all the value of God's instruments consists in presenting the character of Christ. How difficult it would be for a man who was powerful, noble or rich, to reflect the traits of Him who, when here below, was found in the place of weakness, humiliation and poverty, that He might bring the grace of God to us. The judges who preceded them, being neither Tolas nor Jairs, were examples of humility, of forgetfulness of self, esteeming others better than themselves; and who, having nothing to lose, gave proof of spiritual energy which nothing could arrest and whose very weakness achieved a victory."

Paul was referring back to the old days when the children of Israel had left the bondage that they were in at Egypt, and were being led of God from Egypt towards the Promised Land, Canaan. God ministered to them in many ways, including supplying food & water as well. However, God used a (very large) cloud to guide Moses & the people by day & a pillar of fire by night: Exodus 13:21,22.

And when Israel stopped to rest & set up camp, that cloud from God went behind them & near the pursuing Egyptians, so that Israel had light, while this great cloud covered the sun & gave darkness to the pursuing Egyptians, so that they too had to stop since they couldn't see where they were going: Exodus 14:19,20. In this way, God maintained a separation between Israel & her enemies, thus keeping her safe.

So the point that Paul was making here, was that how wonderfully God had taken care of His people during those difficult days (40 years) of trekking through the desert because of their murmuring & disobedience to God, so the Corinthians also should use that event as an example for their own lives. God had dealt severely with Israel for their sins & so we too should be careful in our Christian walk & live carefully before God, lest He discipline us according to our waywardness & sins. The Corinthian Christians were living amongst an idolatrous people & were being tempted to live by their standards (even as it is today with us), but Paul's warning to them was to beware of living like this & learn from the serious example that the Israelites in their wanderings, had set for them.

It seems like the ones who are wicked are having all the fun. Like the world is always accepting to those who belong to it. However we should not feel left out, but should leave out from amongst them and not desire to be around ungodly men; knowing that their ways will not be blessed in the end.

I love the book of proverbs! So much wisdom here. Meddle with them who are given to change, sounds a lot like don't bother with those who are unstable or wishy-washy in their walk with God or in their treatment toward you.
  • Fred Scanlan - In Reply on Deuteronomy 22 - 5 years ago
Humanly speaking, you would be correct. I hope you are not a humanist! This makes sense. Man is loosing his identity, the angels not knowing how too communicate with the soul! The Angels are the messengers that influence us according to his will! Clothing will become an issue in the future, it must be understood, that if you are a man, you will be expected to act like one! This will be hard for many to understand. During the V.N. war the enemy wore black, even the little ones! It was impossible to tell who was who. Only the enemy! this caused many problems at home , when they heard we were killing the woman and the children!
  • Fred Scanlan - In Reply on Deuteronomy 22 - 5 years ago
Pertaining to worship, does scripture not say a woman should have her head covered? IN other words, the "glory of God" (man) is to be uncovered during times of worship, while the "glory of man" (woman) is to be covered. Angels: In 1 Corinthians 11:10, Paul says "Therefore the woman ought to have power on her head, because of the angels. "So , this reveals something interesting. In him we live and move and have our being, Since angels are the messengers, would this be in fact the way, the angels identify the children of God? And therefor communicate accordingly? This becomes even more interesting Since I have such a difficult time understanding the woman . This would prove that the spirit is very much alive and well. That the Kingdom exists and is in control! However, this covering should not be taken for granted!
