  • Jean on Genesis 21 - 8 years ago
Today a Muslim asked me to justify what took place in Genesis 21.
    1. Sarah offering the maidservant to her husband.
    2. And later throwing Hagar out when she was pregnant and then again after Ishmael was born.
Please help me to answer this Muslim friend.

Michael; How do you know what kind of tree it is except by its fruit? The fountain springs either fresh water or bitter. God is ONE, His Spirit is one, and His Word is one. There is no word or standard for one age, and another one for others later. God hasn't changed His character, nor His purpose and will concerning us. While He waits with patience for men to repent, His judgments are the same.

Michael; You read the Sermon on the Mount, and you think that Jesus was not referring to us? What part exactly was it? The beatitudes? Not being a hypocrite? Loving others and being perfect as our Father in heaven? Doing all these His sayings? What words out of the whole Bible, do you think, DON'T APPLY TO YOU? And do you think the Holy Spirit is going to confirm your words to disregard Scripture?
  • A disciple on Acts 10 - 8 years ago
No one comes to the Father except through the Son! If any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of His! When HE is come (the Holy Spirit) He will not speak of Himself...He will glorify Me! A voice came from the excellent glory, This is my Son the Beloved, Hear Him! The Father is greater than I. That they all may be one, as we are one; as thou Father art in me and I in thee. Abide in me!

"And the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea upon the dry ground: and the waters were a wall unto them on their right hand, and on their left. And the Egyptians pursued, and went in after them to the midst of the sea, even all Pharaoh's horses, his chariots, and his horsemen." I am amazed at the boundless power of God in His care for us; and the relentless stupidity of the wicked!
  • Mable Arrington on Psalms 80 - 8 years ago

Knowing that our God the creator is our all in all, that we can't do anything without Him, we live, and move to give Him all the Glory, for His Grace, and Mercies endures forever!!!!

Thats y Isaiah is saying kings shall be your nursing fathers and QUEENS shall be your nursing MOTHERS. THE world/Gentiles ARE gonna birth Christ.THOU SHALL SUCK DRY THE BREASTS OF THE GENTILES .
  • Alex on 1 Peter 3 - 8 years ago
Jesus has a seed to sow in humanity, the world, God so loved the world etc. Thats y he speaks of the babes and the sucklings they are the result of his seed sown in humanity, necessitating a birth OF CHRIST IN US. That which is born of the spirit IS SPIRIT thats our new innerman, A CHILD OF PROMISE . MY lil children of whom i travail in birth till Christ be formed in you. UNTO US A CHILD IS BORN.
  • Vicki on Revelation 7 - 8 years ago
Ren, you may be confusing the church age saints with the tribulation saints. The judgment for church age believers is to test our works to determine rewards or lack thereof. Our salvation is already secure.
  • Servant of God on John 4 - 8 years ago
I sent you to reap that wherein he bestowed no labor, for Jesus was with them! There comes a time when he is taken from us in that he is with the Father reaping his reward. Do you think he labored not when he walked amongst us, when he absorbed the Doctors comments on his Torah studies. By his comments you know his knowledge of Mosaic law was vast, when he preached from the Torah daily in temple
  • Brian on Genesis 1 - 8 years ago
the " tree of life " is the law of god, adam as is written sinned, sin is transgression of the law, the tree of knowledge of good and evil is "Sin" all that is of satan, adam and eve coveted, thought they would become as gods a tree to be desired to make one wise, covetousness," thou shalt not covet" can only be found in the law, thus sin and death came upon all mankind by transgression of the law
  • A disciple on Luke 15 - 8 years ago
One thing is clearly missing from the younger son's repentance and return to his father; and that is the popular but unscriptural idea of "accepting Jesus!" When he came to himself and saw his dreadful condition as it truly was; the result of his sins! He saw himself as unfit to even be called a son! He didn't say, O father, now I accept you! but, Father, I am not worthy, BUT PLEASE ACCEPT ME!
  • IDenn on Proverbs 12 - 8 years ago
Proverbs 12 shows us that true understanding leads to life, and outside of that is apart from God.
  • Paul Mitchell on Proverbs 17 - 8 years ago
When a godly man dies his fears die. When a wicked man dies his hope dies.
  • SisMorgin on Acts 10 - 8 years ago
Read Acts 4:10-12 and Acts 2:38
In Matthew 28:19 we saw that we were to be baptized in the NAME of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Well, those are not names, those are titles. Verse 12 states that the only name by which we can be saved is the name of Jesus Christ.
  • Word on Mark 13 - 8 years ago
The Gospel will be heard around the world when the Holy Spirit speaks through those that are delivered up. Those that didn't follow the antichrist which is to say instead of Christ who comes to deceive the whole world with 2 horns of power as a false messiah claiming he is God. When the false messiah brings down lighting from the sky and all his other supper natural tricks the world will be amazed
  • Chris jones on Psalms 27 - 8 years ago

  • Michael on Romans 10 - 8 years ago

A disciple; you really need to get the context of each chapter in Rom.
Ch. 1-5 deals with salvation in the gospel of grace. Ch. 9-11 Paul is speaking about Israel and ‘their salvation” Rom 9-11 took place during the book of Acts when Israel is being dealt with.
They must believe on who He is, their Messiah. Confessing Christ meant admitting Jesus was not a fraud or imposter as in the past.
  • Michael on Romans 10 - 8 years ago
A disciple: Matthew 7:26 is not to the church, it is to the nation of Israel. Matthew knows nothing about the gentile church age nor does he have a clue about the gospel of grace.
The people in Revelation 20:13 are judged by their own righteousness.

Ephesians 2:8 grace are ye saved through faith not of yourselves 9 Not of works

1 Corinthians 14:33 God is not the author of confusion

    2 Tim 2:15
  • Daughter of a King on 1 Corinthians 10 - 8 years ago
Communion is more than a monthly ritual, it is recognized in the sight of God as the partaking of Christ's body, his church. Paul warned that communion was not an occasion to eat and drink to satisfy a fleshly hunger. When we take it unworthily (not ordering our lives after his word) we can face his wrath. Communion is sacred and should be done the way Christ instructed. In memory of him!
  • A disciple on Exodus 13 - 8 years ago
"And it shall be for a sign unto thee upon thine hand, and for a memorial between thine eyes, that the LORD'S law may be in thy mouth: for with a strong hand hath the LORD brought thee out of Egypt." As the Lord Jesus told Nicodemus, "We speak what we do know, and testify what we have seen.." We have to show by our life what God has wrought in us; that by grace and knowledge teach them to others.
  • A disciple on Exodus 13 - 8 years ago
"And it shall be for a sign unto thee upon thine hand, and for a memorial between thine eyes, that the Lord's law may be in thy mouth.." Not for wrapping cords around your arm, or for fixing a little box on your forehead, as is the custom of the Jews; but that the Word may be in your heart and in your mouth to expound these things, with the sign of your good works and the testimony for a memorial!
  • Alex on John 3 - 8 years ago
When Isaiah saw the kingdom coming n 9 v 6 he says unto US a CHILD is born unto US a SON is given,That women in Rev 12 is US th world where that good seed will be sown. Jesus said the FIELD wd be the WORLD where that good seed/WORD wil be PLANTED ,Thats y the prophets saw the WORLD THAT WOMAN (US) IN TRAVAIL AND BIRTH PAINS,Thats y he always refers to himself as the SON OF MAN,OUR FRUIT UNTO GOD.
  • William Rankins on Proverbs 2 - 8 years ago
One of the greatest thing about the book of Proverbs, is that it was written in a manner that all ppl who read it could understand it.
King Solomon, had many of the teachings from his father, who received wisdom and knowledge from God.
This book is capable of making anyone who read it WISE. So it is in today's society, anyone who reads it and seek wisdom to understand it from God, will benefit.
  • Alex on 1 Peter 3 - 8 years ago
The best example of the new birth is the Woman giving birth in Rev 12. Humanity is gonna birth a baby Christ, her child is the H.G. the multiplication of Christ the PROMISE CHILD THATS Y HE ALWAYS REFERS TO HIMSELF AS THE SON OF MAN, MANKIND IS GONNA BRING FORTH FRUIT UNTO GOD. That was the GREAT PROMISE the multiplication of Christ via his seed th WORD THE VERY SEED OF GOD,UNTO US A CHILD IS BORN
  • Phyllis Givens Davis on Psalms 91 - 8 years ago
Psalm 91 is what I read daily, my father was a Pastor and my mother was a praying women. Each week we had to learn a bible verse and lead a prayer in church. As a child I learned Psalm 91 which is for your comfort, protection and life. I have used Psalm 91 over my sisters, brothers, children my entire family.

@LeeAnne-What about Romans 12:19-Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.
  • Servant of God on John 2 - 8 years ago
Destroy this temple and in 3 days I will raise it up. The testimony which convicted Jesus to death by crucifiction. But he would not commit to them which believed on him for he knew what was in man. That is that he will die in his sin. What Jesus commits to is God, his father, and nothing else, for everything else is of the Devil, which is sin. It is an either/or dilemma. Mortality/eternity,
