True repentance and a thoroughgoing conversion means also an abandoning of all our past ways and worldly relations; which causes persecution. We now have a new life and family.

Instead of us playing the lottery, we should work honestly and earn our living by the sweat of our brow. When we got to work on our jobs, the Lord will teach us lessons to help us grow. When we take the easy way out, we bypass growth.

I remember my baptism at 20 years old. It truly was an unforgettable experience. The p0wer of the holy ghost can truly have an immediate impact upon you. I like to compare it to hitting a home run. Our faith will make us whole.

The challenge for us as Christians, and the trial that melts us down, is knowing how to die to self and bear up cheerfully under such violence and cruelty and FALSEHOOD, without getting angry and upset. And it will be even more difficult and painful once we are in the middle of it, and the attacks seem to come from every side. That is when we must surrender all to Jesus, and not harden our hearts.

Cowardice forsakes a godly character because of fear of men. Peer pressure is a wicked tool of the devil used to get the simple to "countenance" an evil word and an evil-minded crowd. We need to "stand our man" and not care a thing for whether we are mocked or ridiculed or separated from family and friends, because we don't follow the party line; however aggressive and persistent they pursue us!

"Thou shalt not raise a false report: put not thine hand with the wicked to be an unrighteous witness. Thou shalt not follow a multitude to do evil; neither shalt thou speak in a cause to decline after many to wrest judgment: Neither shalt thou countenance (to support or encourage; sanction) a poor man in his cause." The cause of the poor is not automatically right just because he is poor!

St. Patrick's Day and Passover are not the same thing.

The mistake many make is that they think they have salvation thru faith without understanding what that really means. Faith is a certainty of heart that the holy spirit is enlivening the flesh machine with the glory of God, which is Salvation altogether, in that the body, which we identify with most certainly will perish. The 17th being The Feast of Unleavened Bread. Maybe I'm mistaken but I think most people call it St Patrick's Day. Biblical scholars help me out here. Why do men think they know better than God? Look at what a disaster is the result!

Why are people who do wickedly merely "locked up" and not SOLD? This would be righteous for everyone.

John; Enoch and Elijah have not yet died. When it says, "These all died in faith.." it obviously means everyone else. When you want to be able to answer someone who is quarreling with you and contradicting the Spirit, you have to have understanding of the Word. That's one thing that takes much time and dedication alongside personal growth and experience in the Lord. Abide in Jesus and His grace.
