In verses 1 John was urging Christians to think about the nature and magnitude of God’s love for them, to consider how God loves them. Comprehending Jehovah’s love in those terms will surely deepen our love for him and strengthen our relationship with him.

it is one of Paul best book. in my opinion that Paul was thinking about Jesus, dying on the cross that we lived under grace that Jesus blood had set us free, free indeed. Jesus death we have been for give of our sin and healing of the body. This prevalent in the Bible which states many time that by his stripes his stripes we are healed. This was done to three million Jews when night ha before le

Verse 18: True Love is burden bearing( John 3:16, Galatians 6:2) and it is never convenient most times. If you wait until it is convenient for you before attending to the plights of all men( believers and heathens) you may miss out on the call of Love and/or God.

response to "a disciple' I'll continue to let the Word of God do the speaking and those that have ears will hear it as we are earnestly to contend for the faith. JESUS CHRIST IS GOD ALMIGHTY. Colossians 2:9 "For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily." John 8:58 "Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am." He is the great I AM of Exodus 3:14

I do not apologize for saying that your actions are that of a Pharisee and the Lord would apologize for it either because you can't change something if your not faced with truth. But I can see that the Devil can use this as a tool to get me in my flesh as well so Im done posting comments
  • Chris Powell on Ecclesiastes 1 - 9 years ago
All that we seek and have is vanity, listen to what the Lord is saying. We can own everything in this world but will never be satisfied.

People should be able to voice their opinion about what they love about the Lord and his word even if you disagree just pray for them.this should not be used as a place where people take out their frustrations and argue we should love the brothers and walk in unity. I as well as you should simply be voicing what the Lord has showed us to encourage and build up others.

40 days: Genesis 50:2-3 And Joseph commanded his servants the physicians to embalm his father: and the physicians embalmed Israel. And forty days were fulfilled for him; for so are fulfilled the days of those which are embalmed: and the Egyptians mourned for him threescore and ten days. 40 days of death of Israel. Israel wanted Jesus to be their Messiah if Jesus would follow their rule.
  • Pateresion Nunu on Psalms 121 - 9 years ago
God's assurance to those that believe in HIM. He is not a God to be worshiped. HE reciprocate his worshipers with HIS assurance that HE is there to protect them day and night.
What a privilege to have a relationship with GOD.

Thank you God for your protection and provision.

secular example of trinity: I am on a computer typing a message, spirit, that I exist. I am one with the computer when I type, without the computer there is no message sent that I exist. I am not the computer. The spirit, communication, is only part of me but I exist and my message that I exist is true. When reading this do you believe I exist?

John 10:30 "I and my Father are one." Let's say Bob climbs inside a costume to play a character named Joe. On the outside we see Joe, inside it is invisible Bob. There are not now 2 of them. The INVISIBLE God PUT ON FLESH in the form of Jesus Christ that did not make 2 Gods. John 1:14 And the Word WAS MADE FLESH, and dwelt among us.." Jesus Christ is the flesh God put on. They r ONE

Paul (cont.); "Ye do err, not knowing the Scriptures nor the power of God;" and I will add, Nor the purpose of God altogether. The Word from the beginning was that the Anointed would come in the flesh, born of a woman, to break the serpent's head by His own being bruised. Yet every Jew stumbles at that! The problem with sin in man is that it makes us unfit for God's presence; Jesus reconciled!
  • A disciple on Matthew 20 - 9 years ago
Paul; "The devout Jew is learned in the Torah. They are observant of the law of God through Moses." What has changed with God since He had David write the 2nd Psalm? When, over the last, almost 2000 years, did God change His mind, and now no longer requires us to go through His Son to come to Him? Until the Jews, and everyone else converts and believes in Jesus, THEY CANNOT BE SAVED!
  • A disciple on 1 Samuel 14 - 9 years ago
Anne; this is like the part where Jesus and the disciples went through the corn fields on Sabbath, and the Pharisees found fault and accused them. The example Jesus gave tells us so much about God's thoughts, and having mercy, and using common sense. And the Lord's answer, that "The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath;" is the part that teaches us the nature of the Spirit in the Law.
  • A disciple on 1 Samuel 15 - 9 years ago
Anne; This is a powerful truth that you bring up; The rulers that God has put over the people are supposed to be judging righteously and executing His punishments on evildoers. The Law of God says clearly, that the land is guilty because of innocent blood, and that the guilt is not removed except by the blood of him that shed it. Saul was like many today who let the wicked go free, and love money.
  • A disciple on Deuteronomy 26 - 9 years ago
(16-19); "..Thou hast avouched the LORD this day to be thy God, and to walk in his ways..and the LORD hath avouched thee this day to be his peculiar people.." Avouch - attest, authenticate, certify, testify (to), vouch (for), witness. It has become a strong custom to turn the things from old time into symbolic meanings to relate to ourselves today; but the Israelites were going on factual events.

  • Anne on 1 Samuel 15 - 9 years ago
Saul was disobedient to the Lord and therefore the Lord rejected him as King. In his own eyes, Saul thought he was doing a good thing but he did not do the RIGHT thing which God commanded. We must fully trust and obey God and lean not to our own understanding.
  • Anne on 1 Samuel 14 - 9 years ago
Apparently, Jonathan did not think that his father's order was wise in forbidding the men to nourish themselves. He felt that more could have been done if the men had eaten.
  • Paul on Matthew 20 - 9 years ago
The devout Jew is learned in the Torah. They are observant of the law of God thru Moses. Abraham was a friend of God, Moses was his scribe. Jesus is sent to demonstrate the Holy Spirit, the power of prayer and eternal life for whom it is prepared. Christians should not be so presumptuous lest their vineyard be taken from them and given to others. The heart of man is evil. God is Judge, not man!
