Insight...; Matthew 16:13-17; Jesus asked His disciples, "..Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?..whom say ye that I am?..Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God...Blessed art thou, Simon Bar Jonah: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven." And in John 1; "..the Word was God..And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us.." This is Truth!
  • Insight777 on John 10 - 9 years ago
V34, Genesis 3:5 "For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil." The Jews were acting like they know good from evil but truth is not in them. Jesus said he is the Son of God and that is truth they deny. The actions of Jesus are righteous and can not be proven otherwise. The Jews were evil rejecting what is good.

(22-26) All my zeal and determined perseverance cannot manufacture a form or method with which to make God do for me. If we see certain prayers seemingly not heard over a long time; we have to examine ourselves by this that the Lord told us; "Believe that you receive, and you shall have," and to really know confidently the Lord's love and ability with that "whatsoever" we may have to ask Him for.
  • Insight777 - 9 years ago
How can I help you mother? Saying "my hour is not yet come" shows Jesus has a lot of time on earth left to preform miracles, teach the word of God
  • Insight777 on John 2 - 9 years ago
Do not read V4 in a negative way! Jesus was preparing to show the world his miracles
  • Lu2677 - 9 years ago
"whom do you serve man or Jesus Christ" Man, in the sense that I am in subjection to all men, charity, kindness, causing no offense, exhortations of His word, giving food and water. I serve God through faith, I can do nothing apart from him. Any service to man that I work comes from Him. His judgments I trust. Should the question be "whom do you serve";the prince of darkness, or the Lord?
  • Lu2677 on Luke 12 - 9 years ago
Steve Marrow, Amen. So, fearing the Lord with trembling before his word has been established. "after He hath killed" Do you believed he kills people as in; wars, 911, heart attacks, etc.?
  • Lu2677 on Acts 9 - 9 years ago
I think what Bryan K. meant when he said "the moment Saul was converted to Paul" Is that ""Saul became a Christian", But most people think of him as Paul, not so much that he was immediately called Paul. I see only one place between 9-13 that mentioned a long period of time and this is a year. I don't see " many years" before he is called Paul. If you have a verse otherwise let me know.
  • A disciple on 1 Timothy 4 - 9 years ago
"Forbidding to marry" - Imposed celibacy cannot give a man the grace of self control, without having determined in his own mind by the Spirit to keep the body under. Jesus' first miracle was to turn water into wine at a Wedding Feast. When the disciples said to Him, "...its better not to marry;" He answered straight and simple, so as to leave it up to each one to decide for himself what was best.
  • Jonathan Timmons on Romans 10 - 9 years ago
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved is the first part of it. This chapter expressed to call on the name of the lord/confess it. This means that you have transformed. Transformation is a total turn of events in your life. This means to give up your old ways and put on the new. This means to not go back and do what you were doing.
  • Lilian on Jeremiah 1 - 9 years ago

  • Insight777 on Matthew 20 - 9 years ago
Jesus speaks of Son of man in 3rd person because he is Son of God. Jesus did not want his followers to be murdered for blasphemy so he allowed people to call him Son of man but said Son of man is Antichrist. The Son of man is the expected Savior of 2 religions based on Abraham that reject Jesus as the Son of God. Their Son of Man expectation rises again when the true Savior, Jesus, leaves earth.

1 Corinthians 13:9 Context 6Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth 7Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. 8Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail whether there be tongues, they shall cease. we have Gods word now.
  • Anne on 1 Samuel 7 - 9 years ago
A penitent and contrite heart God will not despise. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us of our sins (1Jn.1:9).
  • Insight777 on Luke 5 - 9 years ago
The Pharisees where about to stone a woman to death for the sin of adultery in John chapter 8. Jesus spoke for the woman and convinced the men to forgive her sin and set her free. By Jewish religious law her punishment for breaking the law of "do not commit adultery" was death but they forgave her the sin of adultery. Men can forgive sin but only by God can the dead be raised back to life.
  • Jerry on Proverbs 16 - 9 years ago
V21. "The wise in heart shall be called prudent..." a prudent man foreseeth the evil and hideth himself, a wise man prepares himself, he gets ready for whats ahead, and he knows what's ahead, because he reads his bible(KJV). He know the future, because it is written in the Bible.
  • Lance77 on Galatians 3 - 9 years ago
why does men say they speak in tounges and the bible says it shall cease.
    1 Corinthians 13:9 Context

6Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; 7Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. 8Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall va

We should true live by what the The Holy Bible tells us
  • A disciple on 1 Timothy 4 - 9 years ago
"having their conscience seared with a hot iron" What happens in the conscience of those who get into a fornication relationship is very evident! How many there are who have some Bible upbringing, and have rebelled! How many have we found, who have chosen to live together unmarried, or pursue a lifestyle of promiscuity, that are hateful and hostile to the words of Jesus! How'd they get there!
  • A disciple on John 14 - 9 years ago
"I will pray in the Spirit; and I will pray with my understanding" The Spirit makes intercessions according to the will of God, and builds up the spiritual strength of the one praying in the Spirit. Many who don't really know, just repeat what they heard from others, and keep themselves from receiving the Blessing. In the beginning, speaking in tongues WAS THE SIGN of having received the Spirit!
  • A disciple on Psalms 109 - 9 years ago
Is there a difference between a lost sheep gone astray, and devoured by beasts of the wilderness; and one who willfully turns to be the Lord's enemy and a traitor? To Peter the Lord said, "..But I have prayed for thee; and WHEN thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren." But He gave no such words to Judas Iscariot. To the woman who came in and washed His feet with tears He said, Go in peace!
  • Mrs. Nixon on Psalms 1 - 9 years ago
I need help today because he is the truth and the way. I have been going through so many challenges and i want the power of the holyghost to help me stand. By reading Psalms the prayers are most of my life experiences. It makes it easy to reconnect to God, by asking him for HIM and HIS Son Jesus and The Holy Spirit.
  • Aileen on Psalms 121 - 9 years ago

1 Corinthians 13 and 14 teaches about tongues. V.22-23.(I asked a woman if she speaks in tongues to people that do not believe, she said no V.22. She does it in church while everyone else is doing it. I asked her if she knew what others were saying, she said no.I asked did she herself know what she was saying, she said no.She said she didn't know if anyone in the church knew what was being said.
  • Lu2677 on John 14 - 9 years ago
Tongues is not the only evidence that the Holy Spirit is present in ones life. The other spiritual gifts are evidenced by the Holy Spirit's work.Paul said he is glad he speaks tongue more that the others so they will have other gifts that are more helpful and edifying.Tongues is for the unbelievers to hear. Paul is not saying tongues is the best gift. Read chapter.
  • Peter A. Okebukola on John 8 - 9 years ago
This chapter is laden is many spiritual truths. Some are: “I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. Verily, verily, I say unto you, If a man keep my saying, he shall never see death. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.”
  • Peter A. Okebukola on 1 Kings 10 - 9 years ago
King Solomon in his splendour just as the Lord had willed it. God's Words are yeah and Amen.
  • A disciple on Luke 1 - 9 years ago
"Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man? And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God." "..every spirit that confesses not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God" 1 Jn. 4:1-6.
