cont. - now séances, necromancy, etc. are the total realm of satan; God's no longer involved in it. satan is real and those that 'play' in his garden are - fools.
  • Irene123 on 1 Samuel 28 - 9 years ago
    V. 12 - The soul is eternal. Jesus came to redeem the soul and to reconcile man with God. Adam had given that authority and power of death over humans' souls to the serpent. Until Jesus died and conquered death, satan held captive every soul that had died from the time of Adam's sin. This explains why the witch of Endor could call up Samuel to talk to Saul ( 1 Sam. 3-20). Cont.

Gen. 6:4 - There were GIANTS; the same became MIGHTY men, ...men of RENOWN. 10:8 - Nimrod: he began to be a MIGHTY one,(v.9). 1 Chr. 1:10-Nimrod: he began to be mighty...; Micah 5:6-Nimrod was the 'father' of the Assyrians. Isis, Al Queda, Boka Horam, come from the same land - Syria. Just as the Jews nor Gentiles have vanished - neither have the Assyrians- and they still hate Jesus.

Bruce - if the serpent was a snake as we know them, then why did God curse it and say it would go on its belly and dust would it eat ..., if it was already a snake? Isa.1:18 "Come, let us reason together; ... "
  • Irene123 on Genesis 3 - 9 years ago
Gen. 3:21- People who believe their pets go to heaven; Gen. 2:7, "and man became a living soul." Man, not animals. Animals have no soul to go to heaven OR - God would be a murderer, when He made coats of SKINS to clothe Adam 'n Eve. So would we ALL be murderers when we hit a dog, cat, deer, etc. with a vehicle. Or killed them for food. That's why we are murderers when we kill a person on purpose.
  • Irene123 on Genesis 6 - 9 years ago
Some believe there were dinos on the ark. When Jesus God saw Lucifer fall from heaven cast out was a lo-o-ong time before God created man. During this time were dinos, not during man's Noah's time. This isn't 'confirmed' in God's word as it has nothing to do with man. God's word has to do with salvation, not dinos.

Mary, 1 10 17, Gen. ch.5 Quote - "And Cain is not mentioned because Adam was not his father and Abel was not mentioned because he was killed by his paternal brother Cain." unquote. If Abel was his paternal bro., then how can Adam NOT be Cain's father?

May I also get into this discussion? I think that there are some things that we'll just have to wait to know when we get there. Jesus said, All they who are of the truth WILL hear my voice: which to me says, that we were known and marked by God before we were saved. Or what about the Book of Life, and all the innumerable souls that will be saved after the Thousand Years? I agree with Lu2677 here.

cont. - This was a type of Jesus shed blood for 'hiding' our sins. Heb. 9:22 - for without shedding of blood is no remission. Cain 'n Abel were both taught by their parents about what God required, otherwise Abel would not have known to give a blood sacrifice, therefore so did Cain know, but he was rebellious - just as many bros. today are opposites, and sis. People haven't changed, not at all.

A right understanding of the truth of God in Christ, will answer every miscalculation of men's thinking. The fact is, that God is absolutely going to "force" the world to submit under His Son Jesus Christ; and our assurance of this, is that He has raised Jesus from the dead and given Him ALL AUTHORITY in heaven and on earth, and the Name above every name!We repent because we are warned in advance.
  • Irene123 - 9 years ago
No, it wasn't wrong to till the ground, otherwise God would not have blessed Cain's farm abilities. Cain's sin was in KNOWING God required BLOOD sacrifice, but being stubborn he refused. All Cain had to do was ask Abel for an animal; Abel was kind, he would have shared. The 1st bloodshed was for proper clothing for their parents; cont.

Gen. 4:7 - "If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto the shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him."
Paraphrase - If you'll do well, your brother will seek for your counsel, and you'll rule over him as the authoritative head of the family. "The Word Started it All."

The tree IS KNOWN by its fruits; and, Faith is the SUBSTANCE of things hoped for, the EVIDENCE of things not seen. We are begotten from above by the will of God, and by His divine power, through the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ: it is nothing that can come out of man's imagination or pretending. Until a man humbles himself in sincere repentance to God, and is truly converted, he won't experience.

My comment is about Genesis chapter 1: 26. and 1:27. If Adam and Eve were our first parents, Genesis chapter 2, how could 1:26-28 be the Finish of God creating. According to 1:27 males and females were created on the sixth day and all creation was finished. So, many people were created on the sixth day and not just two. Therefore, Genesis chapter 2:7 must be a second creation, The Church, maybe.

I don't know why God chose to create light before He created the sun. I do believe that the order in which things were created is important. I think evolutionary theory would require that the sun exist before light. I know that only God could create light before He created the sun! We have a very awesome God!

I remember in the early part of my salvation,I told GOD I want to be like JOB;and at that time I was thinking about the blessings;i later learned the importance of trials, and after 36 years I got my original testimony:I want to be like JOB.
  • Irene123 on Numbers 20 - 9 years ago
P.S. - Aaron died because he was Moses' right-hand man; he was the priest and didn't counsel Moses against striking. He knew somewhere along the line to stop Moses, but he didn't. Aaron was God's mouthpiece; God is FAITHFUL, and would have warned Aaron of Moses' intent. No, it doesn't say all this here, but Isa. 1:18 - " ... let us reason together ... " He wants us to reason His word out.
  • Irene123 on Numbers 20 - 9 years ago
Nobody remembered Ex. 17:6 on here: This was the 1st time this happened; God told Moses to SMITE ...; in Num. 20:8 God told Moses to SPEAK ... "; it was simply, with God, an 'obedience' test. The Israelites KNEW God, and not Moses, br'ot the water. The sanctification was in teaching, by Moses obedience, His people to obey. Moses and Aaron were to be EXAMPLES of obedience.
