" ..... how we fight each other today". That is the result of original sin. Building a tower to reach to heaven; a 'temple' for their idol(s). God told Solomon to build Him a temple; He didn't tell these people to build a temple; you do what God tells you - or you lose.
  • Irene123 on Genesis 9 - 9 years ago
    V. 19 -" ..... and of them ('them' referring to Noah's sons, not Noah) was the whole earth overspread". God doesn't mention Noah having any more children. Nor are we to 'speculate' on whether he did or not.
  • Irene123 - 9 years ago
    Correction - I don't WANT to be a source ..."
  • Irene123 - 9 years ago
Salvation is VERY definite - Acts2:38. God did NOT leave us to speculate on that.
  • Irene123 on Genesis 1 - 9 years ago
Some read Gen. 1:2 as - there was a 'first' earth - and it was destroyed, then God created a 2nd earth on which we live. No one 'knows' if God created more than one earth. Maybe He did, BUT - the Bible does NOT say such - so we should not speculate, as such speculation has NOTHING to do with OUR salvation.
  • Irene123 on Genesis 5 - 9 years ago
Sophia - 2016; Abel had no issue; Cain 'deleted' his birthright (no, I'm not confusing Cain 'n Esau); so the descent is from Adam.
  • Stephanie on John 10 - 9 years ago
Thanks Irene123, and God Bless you!
  • Stephen on Ephesians 1 - 9 years ago
Lynette, when we are saved by GRACE through faith and that not of ourselves, NOT by WORKS, we are then sealed by the Holy Spirit until the day of redemption. Jesus has already paid the price for your admission to heaven by His blood.
  • Irene123 - 9 years ago
Sam - the Jewish people rejected Jesus - and still do - unless they are Messianic Jews. A rabbi will not 'know' the O.T. The O.T. testified ONLY of Jesus; it was a foreshadowing of His coming. Jesus Himself said this.
  • Irene123 - 9 years ago
Patsy - Yes, God did tell Adam not to eat, and it was Adam's RESPONSIBILITY to tell Eve (God made man (Adam) FIRST, so he was the head of the house. We know he told Eve or God would not have accused her; God knew that she knew. God is NOT unjust.
  • Irene123 on Genesis 4 - 9 years ago
Bruce - quote, "any of the four .... "? what 'four'?
  • Irene123 - 9 years ago
    V. 15 - the 'it' is the enmity of Jesus' HOLINESS' to sin; when Jesus br'ot victory at death on the cross - he 'bruised' satan's head; He broke satan's hold over man.
  • Irene123 on Genesis 3 - 9 years ago
I just got curious about the - serpent. Nowhere in the Bible is the word - snake. So, I th'ot - lots of reptiles crawl on their belly. Eve talked with the serpent so at that time he probably appeared to her as something she could handle in her mind - not 'scary'. satan was the 'Angel of Light' before being cast out - and still is, 2 Cor. 11:14. We do a lot of 'creating' in our minds about things.
  • Irene123 - 9 years ago
People that are confused by Gen. ch. 1 and ch. 2 - and think God must have created twice - Gen. 2 is simply 'detailing' Ch 1. You can see for yourself the details that are br'ot out. Nor did I bring this out as a basis for argument. I br'ot this out for those who can see 'reason' - Isa.1:18.
  • Irene123 on Genesis 2 - 9 years ago
Bruce - the evil that comes from the heart originates from original sin.
  • Irene123 on Genesis 1 - 9 years ago
MLH - You're missing an awful lot of love 'n beauty. Yes. God created this world, the whole of the universe, by His spoken word. But, when it came to His 'pinnacle' creation - He got His 'hands' into the dust and lovingly created man - because He loved man; man was to be a friend to God, they were to commune together, have fellowship. I'm praying for you to see the bigger picture - of His love for

Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God? And they fell upon their faces, and said, O God, the God of the spirits of all flesh, shall one man sin, and wilt thou be wroth with all the congregation? O thou that hearest prayer, unto thee shall all flesh come. My mouth shall speak the praise of the LORD: and let all flesh bless his holy name for ever and ever. And I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh. Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me? Be silent, O all flesh, before the LORD: for he is raised up out of his holy habitation. These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me for they are thine. While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition that the scripture might be fulfilled. And all flesh shall see the salvation of God. And the glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.

"The Jews therefore said unto him that was cured, It is the Sabbath day: it is not lawful for thee to carry thy bed." As we read so much and so often about this kind who so hated the Lord, and opposed Him at every opportunity; and we need to understand what it is that had them so misled, that they couldn't even care if they were God's enemies; for MANY are like this! Pride does not make authority!
  • Cad on Psalms 23 - 9 years ago
God promises to be with me always. And he is.

John 5:4 The Lord said that He spoke to the crowds in parables because they were not able to hear the Word any other way. We also know, that it was never in any man to take the first step to make peace with God; but God first loved us! In this way He does and speaks in many and diverse ways to all of us, as we are able to hear; and then according to how we "hear" He makes us according to our ways.
  • A disciple on John 5 - 9 years ago
"For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had." How many ever think about the many and diverse ways which God spoke to the fathers in times past?or about all the many other things Jesus did, which could be written about? or the things spoken in parables?
  • Stephende on Luke 18 - 9 years ago
The unjust judge is a judge of this world which is corrupted by the illusion of wealth, that it is the equivalent of happiness. The young man who followed the commandments but wouldn't part with his wealth. The eye of the needle describes how we strive for wealth rather than Godly knowledge. The master says" we ought to pray always" The world is one place and Heaven is another. Angels overcom
  • M.L.H. on Genesis 1 - 9 years ago
We have been taught that GOD "spoke" everything into existence. The Scriptures do not support this. Genesis teaches that HE "created", "moved", "said", "saw" "divided", called:, "made", "set"
  • Sheila on Psalms 91 - 9 years ago

I'm sure the Lord knew, the intentions of those men. But if they would had just went on and killed those men, then the virgin would had still been alive.
  • Kathie ellis on Romans 11 - 9 years ago
Would the fullness of the Gentiles, be the rapture of the
    church?
  • Kim Alexander on Judges 19 - 9 years ago
Why didn't they just kill the men. This would had solved everything!! And, the virgin would not had been brutally raped.
  • Kalvin Washington on Psalms 91 - 9 years ago

Jesus was sent by our Father to us so that you and me must have life in abundance. Jesus paid the price for us by his blood we are redeemed and pardoned our job now is to believe Jesus that he is the Son of the living God and he was raisen from the dead we must praise him and worship him only. JESUS WILL NEVER REMEMBER OUR SINS ANYMORE OBEY GOD'S WORDS UNTIL RAPTURE COZ JESUS IS COMING SOON
