To Brenda - On the road to Damascus the BRIGHT light was Jesus; as He said, "I am the light of the world." He showed Himself like this also in John's vision of Rev.
  • Gloria on Psalms 23 - 9 years ago
Love Psalm 23, it is my daily inspiration and Jesus is always right there beside us!
  • Irene123 - 9 years ago
To Bruce, cont. - This could be when Paul (spiritually) was taken up to the 3rd heaven. It's a reasonable thought, but not confirmed by scripture. As long as it does not contradict God's word, it is 'reasonable' to surmise things - as long as we let it be known it is not scriptural. AND we need to give scripture ref. for every thin we profess from His word. I am guilty of not doing that.
  • Irene123 on Galatians 1 - 9 years ago
To Bruce - " ..... let's stick with the B-I-b-l-e ..... "; I like that; good advice. You were right; Paul never saw the 'Apostles', the scripture does say disciples. He did go to Arabia - Gal.1:7. Paul doesn't say why he went there, but one can surmise it was to be alone with the Lord for a time to get some things from God that he needed. cont.
  • Bruce on 2 Corinthians 7 - 9 years ago
Saved only:When you are called: John 6:44,Forgiving: 1John 1:9, Baptized with The Holy Ghost and Fire: Matthew 3:11, Changed: 2Corinthians 5:17 You will know! Impossible not to know.
  • Sakana on Revelation 10 - 9 years ago
To eat (absorb) the Word (Truth), it is sweet. But later, when you try to share it with others who don't care, or are not ready, it can make one feel bitter. Even Christ, the Word, can feel frustrated or sad at what was/is going on in the world. It grieved Father that he made men flesh ( Gen 6:6). Just like everyday life. You can love a song or movie and others say "meh." It can dampen spirit.
  • Librarygal143 on 2 Corinthians 5 - 9 years ago
I have faith, God. Hallelujah, thank you Jesus.
  • Irene123 on Galatians 1 - 9 years ago
To Bruce - You probably won't answer this, but - how were you baptized? Matt 28:19 ..... ? I was baptized by Matt. 28:19 - using the words of Jesus (thru Peter) of Acts2:38; Matt. 16:19.

Satan never asked permission, he never mentioned Job. The Lord said unto him, Satan has thou considered myself Servant Job---? Job1:8
  • Iene123 on 2 Corinthians 9 - 9 years ago
"..... His unspeakable gift." the Holy Ghost, Acts 2:38. Jn. 15:5 - " ..... he that abideth in me and I IN HIM ..... without me ye can do nothing."
  • Irene123 - 9 years ago
Michelleann cont. - One needs the Holy Spirit indwelling in them ( Acts 2:38) for the power (strength) to acquire the peace of God that passeth ALL understanding. One prays everyday after being saved for a fresh infilling of God's spiritual gifts; we don't just pray one time for them. To have the power of His spirit in you, you HAVE to follow Acts 2:38. V, 37 - "what must we do?"
  • Rick on 2 Corinthians 3 - 9 years ago
Many misunderstand this, because they read it alone, not with other scriptures. The Law was set in stone and was death in that there was no forgiveness in it! But when the spirit of Christ came on and in the heart of men in the new testament, it brought (the vail removed) life, as it forgave and took away all the guilt and shame of the sin. The Law is still there, but death is conquered by Grace!
  • Will on Psalms 127 - 9 years ago
This psalm is a testament that no thing or no person is exempt from giving God praise. The primary purpose of God's creation is to give Him (God) praise.
  • Ngozi on Psalms 6 - 9 years ago
God is our ever present help in the time of need. He will never leave nor forsake us because He is the omnipotent Father of mercy and grace. He understands the feelings of our infirmities. He sees our pains, hears our cries and comforts us when we are hurting. He is the ALPHA AND OMEGA, THE ALMIGHTY GOD, THE ONE AND ONLY GOD. Please worship HIM forever and ever. Amen
  • Sandy on Exodus 12 - 9 years ago
God created us for him. ALL OF US! God has a lot of patients with us. When God tells us to do something he means it! God created us for him. Therefore God can do whatever he wants!
  • Mike on 1 Timothy 2 - 9 years ago
The scripture is plain clear. Public teaching of women where men are present is what the Apostle Paul is talking about. There's lots of work for a woman in the Church. Only this one is reserved for men. Must we argue with God?
  • Hajara james on Exodus 17 - 9 years ago
This is a typical example of Good leader, when he got weary, Aaron and Hur gave their support the best way possible, they did not leave Moses with whole burden. As Christians, we should learn to give our support at all times no matter how little, it will go a long way
    God bless us all

  • Noel on Psalms 59 - 9 years ago
My favorite scripture is Psalms 23rd in which I read everyday to get me through these troubling times, more now than ever. I love Psalms 59, I put my faith in God not men. No one comes before the king of kings🌺
  • BSP on 2 Corinthians 5 - 9 years ago
We must live our lives in a way that shows that we have faith. It takes faith to truly believe in all of God's promises and to live in a way that shows we have that faith.
  • David V on James 1 - 9 years ago
Bruce, though the same Greek word for temptation is used it is spoken of in 2 contexts. The first is one in which you "fall into". This is meant to try the faith and produce enduring obedience and faithfulness to God as we experience His grace more and more.
The second refers to being tempted with that which God cannot be, evil. This comes from within and is inherent in our flesh see Romans 7.
  • Ahiazuemeka Anyanwu on Psalms 46 - 9 years ago

May God defend me in this time of trouble in Jesus name Amen.
  • Peter on Psalms 23 - 9 years ago
I have looked for guidance and there has been none. I have been one that has lost my way. The lord is now my shepherd. I still lose my way but I have hope that He guided me home. I have no hope except for Jesus. I will keep Jesus. Psalm 23, The Lord's Prayer, the 10 commandments; and that can be my start, and sometimes i amaze myselfAs I willQuoteSomethingThatWasPut inMyYoungBrainInChurchOrMomDaD
  • Peter on Luke 11 - 9 years ago
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth.
3 Give us day by day our daily bread.
4 And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil. For thine is the Kingdom, the power and glory forever Amen. If I canAlwaysRememberThat, itCoversItAll4me
  • S Norman on Psalms 91 - 9 years ago
Psalms 91 is a strong tower for me everyday.I know that God's promise is real.
  • Irene123 - 9 years ago
cont. - the reason I could rejoice is because my son nor husband both are not saved. After 2 1/2 of prayers - this is God's more intense way of trying to get their attn. I've put them both in His care. Salvation is a VERY serious business; it is not simply acknowledging Jesus with one's mouth and signing a card. Jas. 2:17, 18, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26. These scriptures are God's word also.
