  • Irene123 on Genesis 35 - 9 years ago
    V. 8 - I see where Deborah's nurse was buried at Bethel, but not Deborah. She may have been buried there, but scripture does not say.
  • Irene123 on Genesis 12 - 9 years ago
Isa. 1:18- The Lord is not the author of confusion - 1 Cor. 14:33. He wants us to 'reason' out His word, to use the brains He gave us. V. 3 - " ..... a great nation ..... "; that's Israel. God doesn't have to spell everything out for us.
  • Irene123 on Genesis 10 - 9 years ago
    V. 5 - By these were the isles of the gentiles ..... " As I just now read this again I saw that at this time there were no - Jews yet; God hadn't taken out a people for His name yet. That happened with Jacob, when his name was changed to Israel, as he wrestled with God.
  • Irene123 on Genesis 8 - 9 years ago
The 'fountains of the deep'; the 'windows of heaven'; It's just common sense; everyone knows the earth has water 'tables' under it's surface and the windows is simply a euphemism for the skies opening up and pouring rain. The water coming to the surface before the flood is what watered the Garden of Eden and the earth, before the flood. God can do ANYTHING; that's what faith is : believing.
  • Irene123 - 9 years ago
Cont. - If you will read Lk. 3:23-38 you will see Jesus' line began with Adam
  • Irene123 on Genesis 1 - 9 years ago
Someone once said, and I imagine it did not 'originate' with this person, that a Christian and an atheist were 'discussing' the origin of the universe one day. Atheist said it all began with a BANG. Christian said, I believe that; God said "bang" and there it was."
And, no - this isn't saying we ought to believe this; it's just an answer to an atheist.
  • Irene123 on 1 Kings 4 - 9 years ago
    V. 20 - is not good. Remember what Job's children were doing when God allowed satan to kill them, and the people of the flood when Noah, the PREACHER of righteousness, preached to them for 100 yrs. while he was building the ark. When the Bible says, "eating and drinking and making merry" - that is never good.
  • Isaiah 40:27 on Isaiah 40 - 9 years ago

  • Mukisa francis heav, ambassador on Psalms 27 - 9 years ago
In the middest of challenges, when we focus on God, we can see his goodness
  • Irene123 on 2 John 1 - 9 years ago
    V. 10 - this verse refers to those who just come to you, uninvited, nor have you PRAYED for them to be there, that bring a different doctrine. We can and are to witness to ANYONE, but ONLY in the Lord's leading - through prayer. If you're in a store and you 'feel' a 'tug' towards someone - that's God letting you know this person will be receptive to His message - done GENTLY, with wisdom, love.
  • Wayne on 2 Timothy 3 - 9 years ago

Irene, thankyou for putting up these CH
  • Irene123 on 1 John 5 - 9 years ago
To Brianna - This is not a question for debate on my part; I am truly just curious - how do you apply the Bible to your life; what is it you do? And I will reciprocate in kind, if you wish; that's up to you.
  • Irene123 - 9 years ago
To Sophia 4 mos. ago - Abel died before having children; Cain put himself out of the picture of God's people. Seth was the first one righteous before God that could be included. Adam 'n Eve? They had to be included because they were the beginning of mankind, even tho' they weren't righteous before God. The 'beginning' of something has to be known; just as we know God was the beginning.
  • Irene123 on Genesis 5 - 9 years ago
I am so sorry about my answer to Cheryl 2 mos. ago. It was King James scholars, ministers he appointed that God directed to set the cannon of the Bible. Why I said Constantine - I have no idea. Constantine has been credited with helping to influence the doctrine of the trinity. King J. was 1611 a.d.; Constantine was 325 a.d.
  • Irene123 - 9 years ago
CONT. - and don't forget to PRAY for His leading - in Jesus name.
  • Irene123 on Genesis 4 - 9 years ago
C'mon all us people that DO believe in God and His WORD - let's, IN 'SOFT' answers and LOVE, show the Lord's truth to people ..............
  • Irene123 on Mark 3 - 9 years ago
To seven Trumpets - Thank-you for the enlightenment on Mk. 3:1-6; I've read that many times, but never saw the right way of it.
  • BSP on Isaiah 45 - 9 years ago
God created this earth to be inhabited as verse 18 shows. This shows that God will always have a purpose for the earth and it is to be inhabited with the righteous.
  • BSP on Isaiah 44 - 9 years ago
This chapter shows how foolish it is to trust in idols because they are of no benefit to those who worship them.
  • Kaggwa Andrew on Judges 7 - 9 years ago
The fearful cannot fight with or for God, stop being fearful. when God's grace is made available, take advantage, do not be like the two Midianite men who got the full meaning of the dream but couldn't respond appropriately.
  • Kaggwa Andrew on Judges 7 - 9 years ago
fear is the foremost factor by which Christians disqualify themselves from God's service. you must despise God's enemies not fear them. shame upon the two midianite men who had a chance to escape God's wrath but never took the grace of God seriously, reminds me of Rahab the whore who took God's grace seriously and saved her self and her family.
  • A disciple on Acts 2 - 9 years ago
"And they were all amazed, and were in doubt, saying one to another, What means this?" When EVER in all of human history, was the world ready and expecting the things which God did among them? And though He is not far from anyone of us, and closer than our hands and feet; yet we have no way to know Him by all that He has made, except He draw us to the Light, and give us understanding and grace.
  • A disciple on Exodus 25 - 9 years ago
"And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, that they bring me an offering: of every man that gives it willingly with his heart ye shall take my offering...And let them make me a sanctuary; that I may dwell among them." Every one of us is precious and uniquely made an expression of the image and glory of our Father in heaven, with beauty and purpose for serving Him!
  • Deaco on Leviticus 9 - 9 years ago

  • Ruth on James 2 - 9 years ago
one thing we can rejoice in is that,Jesus ever lives to make intercession for us.Also the Holy Spirit helps us in our weekness, when we don't know what to pray.
  • A disciple on Daniel 11 - 9 years ago
One of the hardest to understand portions of Scripture! There are some parts that seem to ring familiar, with respect to current events and people in the world, and to those things which show the purposes in God's working His strange works among men, to bring about the end. I don't know if it serves us well to try to guess about "who" these persons might be; as the Lord will show us in due time.
  • Chrystol on Proverbs 31 - 9 years ago
Who can find a virtuous women? Do they still exist? I pray that when my son is old enough she will be found! He's 15, raised in the church, have a positive attitude, good group of friends, honor roll student, Loves the Lord Jesus Christ. I know I'm a virtuous women. My husband is a minister, along with Christ in our lives the foundation is already set. Have a Blessed Day All of You. ☺
  • Seven Trumpets on Psalms 53 - 9 years ago
There is a difference between the workers of iniquity and God's people; and it is that we call upon God, and the other says, no God. What is their folly? and what is their filthiness? Isn't it it the evil in their hearts, and how they go away from God, and refuse all knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, and make their life's purpose to oppress and persecute the real Children of God!
