Still, the most compelling example of baptism for salvation is found in Acts 8,29-39. Phillip was doing exactly as Jesus had said. V 35 says he "taught him Jesus". But, what words was Phillip using? I love to read the original King James Version of the Bible.

Jesus is our sabbath rest. For a Christian every day is a day of worship. Legalism doesn't help further the gospel. Colossians 2v16.

Did you mean old testament? Jesus is the fulfillment of the O/T. Jesus himself taught much about the O/T. Also the book of Hebrews. When reading the O/T always keep christ in mind.

Thank you for these words of comfort in today's tumultuous times. Thank you, Lord God, for being here with us.

But still, in OUR age of Grace - we are to pray for the 'fools'; He came not to condemn the world, but to save it - one individual at a time; not the whole unrepentant world. There are actually people that believe the world was saved when Jesus was crucified - and there is nothing we need to do - except 'kick back' and enjoy our lives. Why then, would He have sacrificed Himself ..... ?
