Charity is all heart and nothing more, performed simply for the act of giving to others.

    Bless us all

  • Doreen on Jeremiah 1 - 10 years ago
The Lord wants us to acknowledge our sins, stop back sliding and come back to Him. We must have the Heart of God who is our helper. Jeremiah had not one convert in his congregation and yet he had to keep going forward and doing the Lords work. Sometimes we may feel all alone as we look around and see no one but The Lord is with us always and will never leave us or forsake us.
  • Shirl on Ezra 3 - 10 years ago
what i got out of this, is there were 2 emotions. Those not knowing the old temple, were elated at what they had accomplished. Those old enough to compare the 2 temples, saw where they had defied their God, and what they had lost with the demolishing of the old temple. They probably felt (those elders who remembered), and felt the shame of this, knowing how much better the old temple was.

Tyrone? and others? about the math? did you subtract the number of the family of the priests that could not prove themselves? who married outside?
  • Annie on Psalms 58 - 10 years ago
God will set things right. Sometimes we are grieviously wronged by others who we have not sought to embrace in our lives. A man makes himself our enemy without us ever knowing his name. God calls us not to the part of vengeance but to the dependence on divine intervention to set things right.
  • Annie on Psalms 57 - 10 years ago
If its not for God's glory or your growth pass it over
  • Annie on Psalms 56 - 10 years ago
Focus less on your enemies and more on your Creator. Your enemies cannot do more to you than what God intends to help in your transformation.
  • Josephine Walman on Psalms 91 - 10 years ago
this chapter strengthens my confidence and boldness in face of danger. it is good to know that I have conquered fear, God has assigned His angels to watch over me where ever I go. Only trust Him.

responds to Devlin; thanks for answering back, don't know Hebrew, trust the scholars for that, but as I understand it -eli eli lema sabachthani- my god my god why hast thought forsaken me. My question then to you would be simply who do you think JESUS was; mere prophet, jewish demigod, divinely inspired rabbi, or the LORD made flesh? What was the LORD trying to teach with those last words?
  • Olga on Genesis 16 - 10 years ago
God is great he gives us everything he says he is going to give us we just have to take a min to listen to what he is telling us and be patient ,
  • Rose on Revelation 1 - 10 years ago
Jesus is revealing to John his majesty and glory and power. He is about to give to John instructions to the seven different churches and to the "angels" (pastors) of those churches. Many of the churches of today are like the ones in that time. Some hot, some cold, some lukewarm (the worst kind).

If a man therefore purge himself from hatred, gossip, contaminated association, strife, sedition, pride, insincerity, etc he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.
  • Peter on Proverbs 13 - 10 years ago
The bible says in the book of James1:5 that if any of you lack wisdom let him ask from God...which simply means for you to have wise people as your companion you must ask from God and another fact as regard the bible verse is that...."THE CALIBER OF PERSONEL THAT SURROUNDS YOU DETERMINE THE SPEED TO YOUR SUCCESS.

  • Lilian on Matthew 7 - 10 years ago
God is always reminding us to have obedience on his words and accept God as our Savior, our Lord and the Lover of our Soul. Jesus himself is the word of God and he came down and shed his blood to us so that all of us will have life in abundance. We must keep thanking Jesus and praised him for everything he have done into our lives. We are saved by his Grace and he is faithful to his promises. Amen

What was , now is ; who is it that sells the word of God? That makes a business out of souls? Who has not read the words from the mouth of Jesus; my fathers house is a house of prayer; But you have turned it into a den of thieves? The word of God is given to this generation. "As for tomorrow, the evil there of is sufficient unto that day."Salvation is for the world. Love is God.

Eddy;yes the wages of sin is death;the way of life is Jesus. The focus is on Jesus, the , life. It is the good news of what the angels spoke of to the shepherds. Fear not for I bring you tidings of great joy . The words of God are love and gentle ,filled with kindness, hope and desire. So that all the world might be saved and not one lost.
  • Lyn martin on Psalms 5 - 10 years ago
Fear the lord thy God and he will scatter thine enemies. He will continue to protect his people once we have faith and trust in him. When the enemies continue to fog a pit for you, they themselves will fall in it.
Do good and good, will follow you.

Behold the Lamb of God knows the Scriptures and the Truth. Holy to the LORD!
  • Wayne on Romans 1 - 10 years ago
We sit at the table and feast while the hungry beg in the streets ,even up to the door. Love without action has no value. Now then having said that ,understand this ;for it written man cannot live by bread alone .But by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. The way of God is not the way of man.
  • Wayne on Revelation 1 - 10 years ago
I shall be as clear as I can..the bible is a book of love. Each word is Love for God is love.To understand the whole word you must be filled with the love of God. There for repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus and you will receive the Holy Spirit. For God has not left you comfortless. Revelations are given to those that love the world . For God so loved the world
  • Monica on 1 Samuel 1 - 10 years ago
God is a very loving Father and he will never abandon those that call to him in the name of Jesus his only Son. Regardless of how long Hannah being barren, she knew in her heart that God, and God alone could change her situation. When she prayed, she prayed without doubt that God was listening to her prayer and that he would answer. We sometimes pray without believing - whether what I have asked for will come through or not? Or the doctor has said I have few weeks to live before I die so I'm not quite so what will happen! Doubts closes the door to God's mercy throne. Hannah prayed believing and she received but she also lived up to the promise she made to give back the child for God's glory. Wonderful lesson and one of my favorites.
  • Mary Ann Dion on 1 Corinthians 13 - 10 years ago
Faith without good works is empty. In other words, charity is caring about and helping others. Not alms for the poor but making a sacrifice with time and talent.
  • Word on Revelation 17 - 10 years ago
This chapter of explaining is very good as you look at vs 15 that the waters are the people that the whore rises from. Almost every time you read waters or sea in this book it means people. So this religious one world religion rises up with antichrist in charge with his 10 supernatural kings. Not the earthly kings that begin to get things started but when you see the false Antichrist and his 10 kings show up that's when you know Satan is on earth or just look out your window and you'll see the rapture buses going by to the airport to fly to Jerusalem because they believe that the first CHRIST is going to fly them someplace? But after the first tribulation AND THEN you will see the Lord coming to consume the wicked one and his followers with fire and He will set up His Kingdom here.
