    Amen Jesse,

john 10 seems to sum it up, Church/people,

John 10:16 (KJV) And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.

The plan was revealed in the old testament but hidden to their eyes and ears.

There's a lot said when the Lord says in

John 10:4. And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice.

We're not his sheep BECAUSE we follow him, we follow him BECAUSE we are his sheep! ""WE hear his voice "" slight difference in grammar, big difference in meaning.

At night all the shepherds in the area would bring their sheep to be kept in a protected area , where they are mixed with all the other sheep, " they didn't brand the sheep " the next day the shepherd would go in and call their sheep, they hear his voice, they follow him.

    Carleton,

Does The Gospel Tract and Bible Society have any relevance to this discussion?

If so, I'd appreciate a reference. Thanks.

And yes, the southern part of the Sinai Peninsula is a good candidate near the Straits of Tiran, as is Nuweibaa about 70 miles northward in the Gulf of Aqaba. Recent exploration finds an approximately 60 feet deep ridge with interesting coral shapes scattered across this ridge like wreckage. The John 10:10 Project has an interesting set of videos on The Exodus that you might find interesting.

The Scriptures about the Godhead. Sometimes called "Let Us..." in some passages.

    Genesis 1:26, 3:22, 11:7

    Isaiah 6:8

    Romans 1:20

    Colossians 2:9

    Acts 17:27-30

    1 John 5:7

    John 10:30

These are scriptures of when the 3 persons of the Godhead were speaking to each other.

I was taught that Adams name means, Man. Eve's name means, Man with a womb.

Adam and Eve were of flesh, soul and spirit up until they ate of tree. Then the spiritual connection was severed.

By being Born Again, Jesus restores that spiritual connection through the Holy Spirit who indwells us.

    Salvation (part 4)

John also states in John 10:27-29, "My sheep hear my voice and I know them; and they follow me. And I give to them eternal life; and they will never perish forever and not anyone will seize them from out of my hand. My Father who has given them to me is greater than all, and no one is able to seize them from out of the hand of my Father."

Jude states in his doxology in verse 24, "But to the one being able to keep you without stumbling and to set you before His glory blameless in exultation."

Paul in his writings emphasized the keeping power of God's Spirit in Ephesians 1:13-14: "In whom also after having heard the Word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, in whom also, after having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the guarantee of our inheritance, for redemption of the possession, for the praise of His glory."

He states again in Ephesians 4:30, "And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God in whom you were sealed for the day of redemption." Probably one of the most powerful Scriptures of God's keeping power is Romans 8:38-39: "For I am persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor powers, nor any thing which has come, nor things coming, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

The only way a person can be saved is by a spiritual birth from God; and the only way a person can keep his salvation is through the keeping power of God.

Many scriptures were written to show believers that some among them, who professed to be Christians, were actually not saved. John wrote I John so those who were saved would know that they have eternal life ( 1 John 5:13). In this letter, he listed many evidences, so that salvation could be proven among genuine believers.

    Hello Chris

WHen i wrote about healing Jesus layed hands on the sick to heal them and on the dead to raise them back to life

and the blind man and the leper etc ...

The Bible is not written to the understanding of natural man even though many claim they understand it if they did we would all agree with the Word of God proving God right only everyone wants to be right ....

I use scripture makes what people write accountable to God with what they reply and say ....To change or add to the gospel means you add the plagues of the bible to your life and takes you out of the book of life ...Thats why i wrote i agree with whats written that Jesus said we should do to be saved ...

My 1 Favourite scriptures is what Jesus said .... John 10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and i know them, and they follow me

    Hi Connie,

Connie no one is putting trust in man I hope, But we do trust in God to reveal his truth by man and in man.

If the truth is in man it is the Lord that speaks through him and if the Lord is in you, you will hear him. and He don't have nothing to say that he haven't said in his word. """ THE INSPIRED SCRIPTURE"""

    see here

John 10:27 (KJV) My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

Now If it is not the Lord in him that speaks

The Holyspirit will reveal that also.

( by the scriptures ) see here

John 10:5 (KJV) And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.

The scripture commands us to teach one another, a full revelation might come from separate individuals. (by the scriptures)

    see here

1 Corinthians 3:6. I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.

or it may come from one person

Romans 10:14-15 (KJV) How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?

And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

And please be careful using uninspired material.

    Thank you

The Apostle Paul is writing about his authority to bring the Corinthians teaching from God's Word & this he did through the Holy Spirit Who makes God's Word real & applicable by writing it in our hearts & not on tablets of stone.

When Paul was first Saul the Pharisee, his teaching came from both the Law of God & the traditions of men (i.e. Rabbinical teaching). He now writes that he no longer teaches that, nor can he, as the new life he has in Christ urges him to proclaim the message of the New Covenant & not the Old. What was the teaching under the Old Covenant? That man (the Jew), had to note every written Command of God ("the letter of the Law"), & had to given mental assent to it & obey it to the letter. If he failed, he suffered terribly. This was because the Law was given to show them how sinful they were, how they couldn't find complete deliverance from sin, & therefore any attempt to obey the Law fully would never work & would only result in their death/judgement.

But, writes Paul, unlike the Letter of the Law, the Spirit of God Who writes God's Laws upon our hearts, enables us to know what is sin & what is not, what pleases God & what doesn't, or how to use discernment over many things that come to us. And so our immediate confession to God when we fail Him & sin, sees the efficacy (continual application) of Christ's Blood for our cleansing & an assured, joyful heart. The Jews never had that experience, because the Law wasn't designed for that - it only brought him death & not life. But Jesus said, "I am come that they might have LIFE, and that they might have it more abundantly." John 10:10.

You may read & consider the following Scriptures. But I should say, that when I think of a Christian as being permanently saved & can never lose his/her salvation, I think of a person who has come to Christ on God's Directions & Terms & has God's indwelling Spirit in them; as opposed to those who have not, & just 'grace' a Church building with their presence or may lead hypocritical lives, or for many other reasons. So, these Scriptures apply to a true believer, purchased by God through His Son, clearly showing that God never discards His children.

    John 10:27-30; John 3:3,16,36; John 5:24; John 6:37,39; 1 John 5:13; 2 Corinthians 5:17; Ephesians 1:13,14; Philippians 1:6; Romans 8:29,30,38,39.

Hi Rodney, "Rodney you say the jews called out Jesus for blasphemy for him saying was the son of God and for the trintarians that's not good enough" are you suggesting that the jews was right? have you noticed they had no problem calling him son of David? was he David son? Luke 20:41-44 And he said unto them, How say they that Christ is David's son?

And David himself saith in the book of Psalms, The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand,

Till I make thine enemies thy footstool.

David therefore calleth him Lord, how is he then his son? Perhaps they use son different in scripture than we do, We also loose a little in the English translation, but they got the message, He presented his deity,. John 10:30-33 (KJV) I and my Father are one.

Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him.

Jesus answered them, Many good works have I shewed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me?

The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God. Believing in Jesus deity may not be a requirement for salvation, but once you're saved and begin to grow revelation through the spirit should reveal that to you. I believe we stunt our growth when we come to a conclusion about a matter and spend a life time searching the scripture to try to prove whether its right or wrong and ignore telling scriptures like John 1:1. Regardless it shouldn't cause hatred between the brothern if it does thats a greater issue. God bless be peaceful.

No. I'm not saying he was wrong. I'm saying given the archaic english, our understanding of the passage is wrong. When he said no one knows except the father, he was saying that he couldn't say because his father would say not that he didn't know.

Did God raise Jesus or did Jesus raise himself. The answer to this we find in John 10:18 "No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father."

Now the nature of the Godhead. That is a mystery. One we shall have to wait and see to find out. The very fact we have a triune God (Father, Son, and Holy Ghost 1John 5:7 ) defies the laws of nature that we perceive. God's characteristics Omnipotent, Omnipresent, and Omniscient also defy our laws of nature.

As for the Council of Nicaea, this council was held to address the heresy that had entered the church saying that said Christ wasn't divine. Not to establish a new doctrine. There by confirming the Biblical Trinity.

Israel of God,,. these are some of the key vs in replacement theology. which views I don't hold.. Galatians 6:12-16 (KJV) As many as desire to make a fair shew in the flesh, they constrain you to be circumcised; only lest they should suffer persecution for the cross of Christ.

For neither they themselves who are circumcised keep the law; but desire to have you circumcised, that they may glory in your flesh. Now here in vses 12 and 13 you see Paul focus is on jews constraining the galatians to be circumcised,

For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature...still talking about them.. "Those that are circumcised those that or not". Galatians is the victims in these 2 verses not the focus, when he's making a distinction between jew and gentiles he says THE circumcised or THE uncircumcised. vs 16. Same pair of jews, the circumcised is them in this vs and the uncircumcised is the Israel of God.

And as many as walk according to this rule, peace be on THEM, and mercy, and upon the ISRAEL OF GOD. Therefore Israel of God is the messianic jew who is part of the body of Christ forming the church. as in John 10:

John 10:16 (KJV) And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.

Carol the only righteous people were on the earth at the time of the flood were noah and his family many people think Genesis 6 ;2 refers to beings of the true God not so look up original language translation. Also old testament law forbad any written recording of any spiritual occurance had to have Gods name on it. That does not mean the True God actually did the work. Remember John 10: 9+ 10 the thief cometh not but to steal kill and destroy. Thats the adversary also in corinthians the last enemy to be destroyed is death therefore death is an enemy of God.

There is another "will" at work in the world. He has NO plans for salvation or healing. His Old Testament name, Lucifer; but is called Satan now. He is a created angel. Not human. He has a free will also.

He is the One the scriptures describe:

    John 10:10

The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

    Luke 18:20

Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Honour thy father and thy mother.

In the Book of Job you will clearly see that Satan seeks to hurt people; even kill them or cause them to be killed. He's the one who causes bad things to hurt good people or children.

God is not doing it. Satan has free will just as we do.

The King James version is the correct one. Use only the KJV. Do not trust any other version. Stay away from NIV or any other. There are errors in the new translations. Throw it in the dustbin.
