I think Rob, a dictionary wouldn't be very useful in this matter. So your answer is: "The Holy Spirit is of God". Well, that's correct but to expand on that a little, if I may amplify your thoughts. In great care, I would suggest that you also believe that the Holy Spirit is a Person, i.e. He comes from within the Godhead, sent into the World of sinners to convict & to indwell those who have been born again that they might lead new lives with a new Power within.

That He must be a Person, as shown in many examples: Intelligence ( 1 Corinthians 2:10,11); has feelings ( Ephesians 4:30); has a Will ( 1 Corinthians 12:11); has a Mind ( Romans 8:27); teaches ( John 14:26); guides ( Romans 8:14, John 16:13); commissions ( Acts 13:4); commands ( Acts 8:29); restrains ( Genesis 6:3, 2 Thessalonians 2:7); intercedes ( Romans 8:26); speaks ( John 15:26). Though He may be a spirit as from God, out of God's Being, He is the very Expression & Person of God Himself. I hope you agree to that, or am I putting words in your mind or mouth?

Then we come to God's Word. As seen with the Spirit, the Word of God is unseen, the very Articulation of God in creating, giving commands & direction whether to heavenly hosts, to His people on Earth or through His prophets & in other utterances that we're unaware of. Now there may be other aspects of God's Being that we're not told of, but of the Word & the Spirit, there's no dispute. The difficulty now for some remains with the 'Word'.

If then, God sends out His Spirit to accomplish His Purposes, why is it so hard to comprehend that He sends out His Word to do likewise? Or is that because the Spirit has no flesh, therefore it must hold true that God's Word can only be spirit without flesh? What if God chose to give His Spirit flesh maybe that would make it easier to understand the 'Word' easier.

Galatians is the victims in these 2 verses not the focus, when he's making a distinction between jew and gentiles he says THE circumcised or THE uncircumcised. vs 16. Same pair of jews, the circumcised is them in this vs and the uncircumcised is the Israel of God.

And as many as walk according to this rule, peace be on THEM, and mercy, and upon the ISRAEL OF GOD. Therefore Israel of God is the messianic jew who is part of the body of Christ forming the church. as in John 10:

Whether it is sin that weights us down in life or other debilitating circumstances we find ourselves in, it is in God's Plan that both His Spirit & His children be ready to assist to save another from being overwhelmed in Satan's grip. When one member of the Body suffers, we all suffer & the only remedy we can give is our support & encouragement.

I think I understand what you're saying, if by that you mean, that the sin in you & which continues to surface, is because it's already there & that Satan remains just a mute spectator. Even though there is merit in that & we all suffer with a fallen sinful nature passed on to us from the beginning, it is Satan himself who is ever present to appeal to that nature causing us to either obey his voice or to withstand him. Our fallen nature is just that: a nature already degenerated so that no good thing can come out of it. Yes, we might do many good things in our lifetime for people & society in general, but the equal propensity to do evil in our nature also exists. How often, we can be told of a man, decent in every way, loving his family, upright in business, but all of a sudden goes into an outrage against someone who has severely offended him & then lets all control & sensibility be lost, by taking another's life. That almost doesn't make sense, but it's reality as sin is ever present that can make us behave in unimaginable ways, not just by bringing disgrace to ourselves but in greatly offending God.

So you may be "the sinner & the sin is all yours", but every time you fall it's not just sin manifesting itself in you of its own accord, but Satan who takes up the fallen nature & your propensity to sin, to cause that root of sin to be revived & expressed. However, if one finds a delight to sin, I then agree that it comes from us - but we would need to question our faith. James 1:14,15.

Hi bro its Rick The word of God states in Ephesians ! : 4 that God new before the foundations of the world we would be born and believe in the same sense God all knowing new He would have to save us from the adversary by Giving the perfect human sacrifice His only begotten son. No where in scripture does it literally say that physically or in any other form Jesus Christ was in the beginning with God, that is a matter of how someones interpreting what is being read . Just keep one thing in mind either the whole word is perfect and fits with life or something is lost in interpretations. Hi John Its Rick I've got a few guestions and I don't argue scripture that being said Jesus Christ said I can do nothing without my Father, it says in Gods Word no man has ever seen God , it says in Gods Word God is spirit you can't see taste touch smell or hear spirit when Jesus Christ was on the cross He was talking to Himself? Now i,m not here to argue again but the trinity is not in kjv. and its origin started with the meeting in nicea and it was called the nicene creed before that the belief that God and Jesus Christ and holy spirit being one in entity did not exist, notice I didn't say purpose I said entity also let us not forget that Christ now sits at the right hand of Gods throne. Also in the Gospel of luke !:80 it says that the child grew and waxed strong spiritually I he was God there is no need to get spiritually stronger also in book of James 1:13 it says God can't be tempted neither temp he any man and yet my bible says Our brother was tempted in all ways yet he didn't sin. This in no way take away the reality that Gods only begotten son in the flesh accompllshed the greatest the greatest achievement which was to believe perfectly who he was and deliver us to His father and ours.

There is no need to get sharp. We are just trying to understand why you say believing Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost are one with God the Father is "damning". No one is saying Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost are not OF God. We are saying they are more OF God than anything else in all of creation. Nothing is more OF God than Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost. It is confusing why you think it is "damning" to believe God is in them, or they in God, more than anything else.

Please don't think anyone is trying to take anything away from God the Father. Who is of coarse Spirit and the source of all things.

Also you didn't answer the one question I asked about if you believe Christ existed before He was born on earth. Just a yes or no question. You just asked me if "I understand God was before the creation of world". Which you must not have read John 17:5 I posted for you that answers that question. Jesus stating the glory He had WITH THE FATHER before the world was.

Gods word says no man knows thats in Gods hands.

Not disagreeing with the pride thing because natural man does not believe he needs saved from anything the big ie sin. hence if you don't believe in God then you won't believe in sin then there is no reason for a saviour.

He's speaking hypothetically - "For if there come unto your assembly a man with a gold ring, in goodly apparel, and there come in also a poor man in vile raiment;" - key words being "For if".

That part of the chapter talks about if a rich and poor man came to your house, and you treat the rich man well and the poor man poorly, then "Are ye not then partial in yourselves, and are become judges of evil thoughts?" I'm not fully sure of the literal meaning of that verse, but it seems to mean if you did that you'd be judging people based on their outer appearance instead of who they are inside, and changing how you treat them based on that, which would be a mistake.
