  • Monty B Duke - In Reply on Wisdom of Solomon 1 - 5 years ago
That is what I said, but the other party said that this could have been what Eve tempted Adam with after being tempted by Satan. I said that the original sin was disobeying God and that He had told them not to eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. I have searched the scriptures again and cannot find anything remotely pertaining to Satan tempting Eve in that manner. Thank you.
  • Adam - In Reply on Wisdom of Solomon 1 - 5 years ago
Hello, no, Eve didn't have relations with satan. That is nowhere in the Bible and is completely made up. This is a recent falsehood that's been circulating around and ironically it's another lie by satan. It's really sad that people are spreading fake news that doesn't come from the Bible, but comes from people wanting to deceive.

You sound broken and this is the first step to asking forgiveness. Ask Christ Jesus in humility and sorrow to cover this sin with His blood and He will forgive you and you must believe it is done. There is no condemnation with faith in Christ that He died and rose again to show us the path to a relationship with Him. Don't give a foothold to devils to keep throwing guilt at you. Repent, walk away from the past and do this sin no more. If it plagues you to not leave it, then ask Christ Jesus to send His Holy Spirit to help you to stay clear of it. So long as you are reading Gods Word & praying to Christ to use you for His Will, you will begin to live spiritually and nothing that happens on earth has any bearing on this focus of The Kingdom of God. And that is what a new creature in Christ focuses on. Bringing others to Christ so they too will be in Gods Kingdom. The Spiritual relationship with Christ is the answer to overcoming the sins in the flesh! God Bless You!

In this sad account, we see that the prophet Samuel was already dead with his body in the grave at Ramah (v3) & King Saul was asking the Lord concerning the battle before him, since he was completely outnumbered by the enemy (the Philistines). King Saul had earlier decreed that the practice of wizardry, necromancy, etc. was forbidden, however, since God had chosen not to answer Saul's prayers about this battle, Saul, in subterfuge, turned to a woman who still quietly dabbled in witchcraft.

The woman was hesitant to do this because of the King's edict, but Saul, who was disguised, assured her that nothing would happen to her. This woman, as others who practised these 'arts', usually operated by using deceit, voice impersonations & other means to satisfy their enquirers. Sometimes of course, impersonating evil spirits would be roused up & make their presence known. But here in this account, the spirit & vision of dead Samuel had appeared to the woman, to which she took great fright because her 'art' was actually producing an actual real event, which was very unusual for her. I would understand that this was an exception to the rule: that God had allowed this to take place for Saul's sake. God had refused to speak to Saul earlier because of his sins, disobedience & hatred of David, but now chose to allow this 'word from Samuel' to cause him great despair.

This account reminds us of Jesus' story about the rich man & Lazarus ( Luke 16:19-31), where both the rich man & Lazarus were in hell (though Lazarus was in comfort & the other in torment). The rich man pleaded that Lazarus be sent back to Earth to warn his five brothers about the condition of their lives & not end up where he was, but Jesus said that his brothers had the Scriptures from God to warn them. So it implies that the spirit of Lazarus could have been sent to Earth to warn, but God chose not to. But in Saul's case, God had allowed this to happen & used it to foretell of Israel's defeat & Saul's death.

    1st Thessalonians v 5

I read this morning and it said

We received the word in power and the Holy Spirit , not in word alone .

Not in those exact words .

But the thought is the Holy Spirit is all the difference .

Other wise it's just a mans religion as there are many .

We should have the power to do what Jesus commands and apostles teach .

    Or is not genuine .

Make sure we are doers and not hearers only deceiving our selves.

    Hebrews 9

27 And as it is appointed unto men ONCE TO DIE, but after this the judgment:

28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto THEM that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

    > People that have passed on, are in their graves or were dispersed on the wind; hidden in deep waters. It is no problem for Jesus to fetch all of them during the Rapture.

The deceased Believers in Jesus will be

raised up first; and reunited with their born again resurrected spirits in the clouds; which are safe in heaven presently. In the blink of an eye. They will be complete in those resurrection bodies.

Their graves will be left open as a witness to those left behind on earth, that they are with God now.

Next, those born again Living believers will meet Jesus in the clouds and receive their resurrection bodies. Jesus will remove all the saints to heaven, to attend the Marriage Supper of the Bride of Christ (us) and the Bridegroom (Jesus). It's a celebration of our Covenant and future life together.

If we still have loved ones NOW that are procrastinating about escaping what is coming to the earth at that time...now is a perfect time to Evangelize them: get on your knees and pray for them every day. Break that spirit of procrastination, in Jesus Name! Ask the Lord to loose a sense of urgency into them.

All of this is in the New Testament and you need to begin reading chapters (plural) of Scripture to find them yourself so You Know what is going to happen next. Tell others who are perishing around you.

Everybody quit hoping another Billy Graham to be raised up to do it for us. It ain't happening! God wants us to do it. This is the generation of the Book of Daniel. It's us!!! Get over Bashfulness and open with an open statement: how about that Jesus Christ?! The Bible says he's coming back real soon!! Let's pray.

May the Holy Spirit dunk us in boldness!

    Ephesians 4:2 - With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;

    Colossians 3:12 - Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;

    1 Thessalonians 4:11 - And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you;

Titus 3:2 - To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men.

Psalms 25:9 - The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way.

Isaiah 57:15 - For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.

1 Timothy 6:11 - But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.

    2 Timothy 2:25 - In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves;

James 1:21 - Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.

Ephesians 5:4 - Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks.

Let us pray for this nation often. We don't always think of how blessed we are compared to Christians suffering in Countries that hate them; and kill them, for believing in Jesus.

God help us to protect what we have, with strong prayer. To not turn blind eyes away from those who are not free; who suffer peril and hunger every day. Amen.

You receive not, because you ask not.

    Matthew 7:7-8

7Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:

8For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

Keep asking him He will answer according to His will. His promises is yes and amen.

    1 Thessalonian 5:17

1 Thessalonians 4:17 And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air

My question is; I was taught that when we die, someone is coming to get us. The saved will be escorted to heaven and all others, worse. And so - if this is the case, why would the earth be opened and those dead in Christ rise and meet the living in the air? And I assume the living refers to the spirits of those saved during the Rapture. They, in the ground, already have died and their souls dealt with at that time of death. They would have received their glorified bodies at the time of judgement. I never understood this meeting in the air with those previously dealt with by heaven when they died. The purpose of it all eludes me. Their bodies would be dust and the spirits long gone to heaven and judgement.

    Simple question. Thats it. Thanks

Maybe a doctor told you, you have an incurable disease and you focus on it. The Bible tells us not to look at the things that are seen bse they are temporal. .in God's sight, all things are possible, he care cure all manner of disease...and lets focus on the things that are not seen bse they are eternal...his word is living, active and sharper than any two double edged sword..it works wonders...

This is what I know. God is a spirit and a consuming fire. Jesus is fully God and fully man. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Christ

    The Holy Spirit is invisible.

    King James Bible

    Hebrews 12:29

For our God is a consuming fire.

    Deuteronomy 4:24

For the LORD thy God is a consuming fire, even a jealous God.

    John 4:24

God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

    John 15:26

But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:

The Scriptures about the Godhead. Sometimes called "Let Us..." in some passages. Three persons: all are one God.

    Genesis 1:26, 3:22, 11:7

    Isaiah 6:8

    Romans 1:20

    Colossians 2:9

    Acts 17:27-30

    1 John 5:7

    John 10:30

Maybe you'd like to add a KJV Bible to your bookcase?

  • Learning Spiritual Warfare - In Reply on 2 Corinthians 12 - 5 years ago
Ephesians 6. You're going to have to learn to fight INVISIBLE enemies. We know they're around because of their evil fruit (pain, suffering, broken appliances, sickness, injuries)

Scrape up some Holy Righteous anger on their assaults and return that pain to Sender. Slamdunk some Bible, helps books, YouTube ministries that teach spiritual warfare. We may all have to start wearing the Armor Of God around the clock. No time off. Stay alert.

If you're at a loss for words: plead the blood of Jesus over you, loved ones, property, job, finances; everything!

In the Bible Jesus showed us (fasting 40 days story) that He fought Satan off by quoting SCRIPTURES to To the devil (and demons). IT IS WRITTEN: (scripture here)

Look at the gospels again and write some down on a sheet of paper to memorize.

When it happens you must fight back then.

Be ready to send those demons into dry places or outer darkness (they hate both).

Prevent their return by pleading Jesus's Holy shed Blood over each encounter.

Check the home for hidden or forgotten idol-like objects; books, movies, games; pc downloads. Let it go.

Demons leave but their friends check back in periodically to see if your still mad at them. Bone up on your Bible reading and see how Jesus and Paul handled it.

I see overcomer in your future, turned warrior. God bless you and protect you as you learn new knowledge.

  • FALLING AWAY by Mishael - In Reply on 1 John 3 - 5 years ago
    2 Thessalonians 2:3-7 - Let no man DECEIVE you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin (Antichrist) be revealed, the son of perdition;

What we are seeing on our TVs is a massive FALLING AWAY!! Our Congress has made it illegal to sing in Church: which I am sure Joe Biden will enforce. Churches will start closing due to lack of support. Congress will try to destroy Church tax exempt status.

Large churches cannot allow everyone to attend, due to "COVID" restrictions.

Take a good long look, folks. Without a miracle, our government is planning to get rid of Christians so the BLM, KKK and godless Millennials can have a nation without God. America will have to increase taxes to support "abortions for the whole world". That's a fact by the way. ACLJ dot com.

I call 32 hurricanes in one year a huge sign; as is millions of burned forest acres. Mid size earthquakes are happening near all major fault lines; coral reefs are dying, drought is worsening; our country has sold a million acres of USA farmland to the Chinese to grow food for them: not us. Are your food bills doubling? They gave us corona virus; and swine flu in infected meat imported from China. Our Congress will restore NO SANCTIONS against China for these offenses! Look for it. Read those stories on Google. Don't take my word for it.

Congress plans to Force Israel into a 2-State "peace agreement", which God is AGAINST in scripture!

The Christians are barely awake concerning the last few prophesies that are being fulfilled rapidly. AWAKE SLEEPERS.

All this fighting about every personal interest group, is hastening the Time When The Rapture Will Occur. Only those whose names are in the Lambs Book Of Life are going to be TAKEN up in the Clouds. Pray for the Chinese Christians! They're being imprisoned for owning a Bible or being Christian inside their private homes. THIS is the FALLING AWAY we are seeing.

Read MT.24, Thess, 1,2 John, Daniel

In the Bible, women were never 'ordained' to any position in the Church, since the Church pattern is meant to follow the pattern of creation ( 1 Corinthians 11:3). However, we do see instances of women serving in the Church though not in the formal way of being appointed to the position as Elders are appointed. Examples such as Romans chapter 16, where Phebe, Priscilla & Mary are seen as having been helpful to the Church body or to Paul himself. Phebe particularly is spoken of as a 'servant of the Cenchrean Church' where she served in some way. However, Paul didn't allocate a title to her, as he spoke of deacons in Philippians 1:1 & 1 Timothy chapter 3, to which he was referring to men fulfilling that role.

So in my understanding, that although women were never given a position of 'deaconess' in the early Church, their contribution to the life & ministry to the Church was well reported of & greatly appreciated. And after all, the position or work of a deacon was essentially to carry out the 'other types of work' that would free up the apostles ( Acts 6:1-6), & no doubt later, to help the elder/pastor by performing these other duties. In their desire to allocate titles to every one that has an 'official duty' to perform, many Churches today have appointed both deacons & deaconesses to fulfil this need. This may not be altogether wrong, if the main reason for doing so, is for the serving the Body of Christ & being useful in building her up.

Peter was a brave disciple , even dared to walk on water for a moment til fear over took him .

Peter was under Jesus teachings as well as we know As the NT says .

Peter denied the Lord 3 times etc .

But under the power of the Holy Spirit Peter preached to the same ones he feared .

And Peter seemed to do much better under the Holy spirits influence, Than under Jesus influence.

According to what is written .

So it shows that the scriptures and Holy Spirits influences are excellent! More complete?
