I can only think of John 20:25, indicating that Thomas had viewed the crucifixion but would only believe in Christ's resurrection if he saw the nail prints in His Hands & the spear wound at His side. However, crucifixion was a common form of execution by the Romans, & using nails for hanging the body in a perpendicular position, provided the excruciating agony they desired the prisoner to experience but not a protracted death resulting from an inability to lift the body to breathe.

I have heard that a small ledge was also nailed to the cross beneath the feet of the one being crucified to prevent the nails in the hands & feet from tearing through the flesh from the body's weight; but this fact I have not been able to verify conclusively.

Though the daughters of Lot were at fault, the children they bore for their father became well known in the Bible.Why didn't God save the wife of Lot so that this won't happen?

I haven't seen that scripture. King Saul ordered his armorbearer to run him through with Sauls sword but he refused. Saul fell on his own sword.

Suicide is just not scriptural. Hospice can help immensely with the end of life. Call on them. They have encountered everything possible at the end of a persons life.

I fought for my Dads life as he was drowning on aspirated food. My Dad suffered because of me! Death came into the room (invisible) and said: "Leave! I'm taking your father now". I was gone 3 mins. When I returned, my Dads face was peaceful, no lines of terror and pain. Just peace, and lit with light. So much Peace.

When you read from verses 43 to 48, it speaks of loving those who perform iniquities against you. Verse 48 says to be perfect as your Father is perfect. How many of us abuse grace or take the Lord's name in vain? We're all unjust. God loves us anyway. So, when someone is "abusing" you, love them. We abuse God, and he loves us still, thus strive to be more like God in His love for the just and us.

Often people will speak of the signs of the times, natural disasters, pandemics, war. And, they'll say the end is near. But, do we prepare for it? Do, we try to change from our old sinful clothes into our new garments? People say, look at all the terrible things in the world is coming. God is at work. Then we go out and keep abusing grace and being jerks towards one another. When someone says to me the end of the world is coming, look at all the terrible things. I ask them what are they doing to get ready? Or, are they just making conversation?

I think you are referring to 2 Peter 2:10-12, Spike. If so, Peter is warning believers about the false prophets in the world & specifically the false teachers amongst them, who were of their number (verse 1). So enraged was Peter over their pernicious beliefs, teachings & despicable acts, that he has devoted a whole chapter to denounce them & warn believers to identify them & turn away from them.

Peter shares things about those false teachers which we today might not have specific knowledge of, but Peter's readers would know quite well what Peter was referring to as they connect the dots. With Peter's help, it would have become abundantly clear to them about these teachers' fleshly, corrupt, unbiblical teaching that they were overwhelming believers with, in the light & contrast to what the Scriptures had to say. What made it worse, was that their teaching became even more believable as great oratory skills using enticing words, were employed (v 18).

The word "Dispensation" can be used in a couple of ways in the Bible. In 1 Corinthians 9:17, Paul speaks about "a dispensation of the Gospel" that was committed to him: referring to the Gospel that was committed to him needed to be dispensed, shared or distributed.

Then, in Ephesians 1:10, "in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ": speaks of a Divine arrangement or ordering of affairs. To this meaning of 'dispensation' as also to others who refer to the various dispensations revealed in the Bible, there is clearly a plan & an order given by God, that the Body of Christ would constitute people from all lands (both Jew & Gentile). Since, this had already happened by virtue of Christ's Sacrifice & Resurrection, I think that Paul is referring to the future time, when the Church & all things 'in Christ' (all that belong to Him), will one day come together in unison to sing out to His Praise & Glory.

I am so blessed to read your post. You are exactly right on scripture. The magnitude of the amount of people that will miss out on the Rapture (caught up in the clouds) hits me like a train often.

Many will be saved but they have to try and figure out how to survive. I cringe when I think of a martyrs death. They have this just born again faith in Jesus, and must face trying to survive an enraged Thing, called Antichrist...who is now in-dwelled with Satan. His aim will be to kill as many humans as he can. New believers along with unbelievers.

Satan is an unbeliever of sorts. He thinks he can oppose Gods plans to the very end.

I cannot express any stronger to those are "sitting on the fence of indecision", to run to the arms of Jesus NOW. Be sure of Who you believe in. He is strong enough to protect all those whom He loves. You.

All of this is not about God hurting those who doubt. It's about being rid of Satan once and for all. He will live in a place that is beyond Horror. He will be chained up.

I agree with you, that this passage can appear confusing, so we need to look a little at its history.

The requirement for male circumcision was ordered by the LORD under the Abrahamic Covenant ( Genesis 17:11-12) & this was one of the signs (a token) of God's Covenant between Him & Israel. The Israelites were in bondage in Egypt, so this rite was either not performed or not done correctly there; but before reaching the Promised Land, Joshua had to re-circumcise all the males: Joshua 5:2.

With that history in mind, when we look at Exodus chapter 4, we see Moses, after disputing with the LORD about going to meet Pharaoh, finally preparing to return to Egypt to secure the release of the Israelites there. Then in verse 24, we read while Moses' family was travelling & in the Inn, "that the LORD met him (Moses), and sought to kill him (Moses)." Some interpret the "him" as Pharaoh's firstborn son, but that wouldn't make sense, as he was to be the bargaining tool to secure the Israelites' release. Nor could it apply to Moses' son, as at that age (?), the parents were still responsible for having the circumcision performed. It's doubtful that the LORD would have followed through with killing Moses, rather that GOD showed His extreme displeasure in no uncertain terms.

What we don't read in verse 24, is how the LORD was dealing with Moses about his failure to circumcise his son. Because of Moses' failure to do this prior to returning to Egypt, God's Anger was kindled & He had showed them both that Moses' life was at stake. Zipporah, his wife, immediately took the initiative & circumcised their son, & in anger called Moses, 'a bridegroom of blood' (her husband's failure to have their son properly circumcised forcing her to do the job). Moses may have had his reasons for not circumcising (it's suggested that he didn't want it done in the Egyptian manner which was different to what God prescribed), but his failure to do so, brought on God's displeasure & anger against him.

Does the bible say specifically that the Lord sought the life of Moses for not having his son circumcised or does it say that the Lord would seek the life of the child.

We know that life can be tough, and life is beautiful but then life is also unfair, yet regardless of what life throws at us, God's lovingkindness is bound to surpass it.

I dont understand the order of the kings of Persia - the building of the house of god started

1st year of Cyrus (chapter 1) then in Chapter 4 speaks of false accusations being sent to

Artaxerxes which seems to me as the 4th king after Darius and Ahasuerus. Then in Chapter 4 24 it says the work ceased 2nd year of reign of Darius which to me seems like the 2nd king.

Please refer to your bible Genesis 1,2,3. Please note that the world would have been a perfect place had our ancestors: Adam and Eve been obedient. Today, the world experiences higher forms of sins, crimes, frauds, events as a result of man's disobedience.
