  • Ren on 2 Samuel 1 - 9 years ago
@Brenda I read it the same way as you did.5 And when his armourbearer saw that Saul was dead, he fell likewise upon his sword, and died with him.

6 So Saul died, and his three sons, and his armourbearer, and all his men, that same day together.
I believe the other guy was lying and David saw thru it and had him killed. That lie cost him his own life.

ADisciple: All I am asking is for correct translations. Only the original Hebrew is the true word of G-d, not a translation. Look at Jeremiah 16:19:
O LORD, my strength, and my fortress, and my refuge in the day of affliction, the Gentiles shall come unto thee from the ends of the earth, and shall say, Surely our fathers have inherited lies, vanity, and things wherein there is no profit.

The verse is reminding me that God Alimighty is the all in all without him we are nothing. And in him we have our hopes, strength and powers reassured. Thank God my way has been made straight and perfect in our Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.

Ernest Foster; the Father isn't jealous if you pray to His Son, but Jesus Himself tells us that the Father Himself loves us, and praying to Him in Jesus' name He hears. The Father is greater than all, and the Son has told us that He Himself is subject to the Father; and that He sits at the right hand of the Father in His throne, interceding for us. Does that help you?
  • A disciple on Revelation 21 - 9 years ago
Ernest; Its pretty easy to find out what the conversion is for furlongs to miles; 12,000 furlongs is 1500 miles. My only question is whether that is all the way around, or on each side "foursquare." A cubit is 18 inches, or, the length between your inner elbow to the end of your middle finger. So the wall being 144 cubits is 216 feet high and the length of each side of the city probably 375 miles.

Romans 2:1 Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself for thou that judgest doest the same things. This is proof that Christians do sin and need cleansing by the Word.

2 Peter 2 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. Ephesians 4:18 Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart: We must look in to our hearts and find what's there. God can see our hearts, we will before him confess the Jesus is God. Love Love Love
