John 13:34-35 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another. The Old Testament was about fight the enemy, but Jesus command the Disciples to Love one another. Jesus is our sample to follow his Word. Love Love Love

John 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. When we are born on earth, the water breaks and we are born, but when we believe his Word with all our heart, we are born in the Holy Spirit of God. That means born again. Thank you Jesus for that free gift of life that is for ever .

Jehovah God expressed his wrath against those who were misusing their power, committing fraud, taking advantage of widows and orphans, murdering, and engaging in various form of sexual depravity. These ones were destroyed and we can be assured that Jehovah feels the same disgust today when he sees those who commit these acts and he will execute his judgment upon them.

You know what gets to me about when it comes to argumentative conversations about the Bible is when people say and try to critic verse's in the Bible to fit their life style or their beliefs and they complain about who wrote the Bible and say things like "only the red writing is true", God is real and Jesus died for all humanity so that we can go to Heaven but remember we must be born again.

Janet; Ignorance mostly because we are raised in a society where ignorance and the heathen bullies those who are better than them, and so good and smart children with great potential are subdued by fear, because they want to be accepted and fit in. How many are the tragedies of beautiful children lost to drugs and a life characterized by self-indulgence and moral corruption and spiritual laziness!

This chapter shows that God would make sure that divine destruction would be completely administered throughout all of the rogue nation of the Israelites.

With respect to all who are called and separated unto the LORD to be His; it seems like everyone knows what is our strength with God, and what makes us unclean, unholy and unfit for His Presence; EXCEPT THE CHRISTIAN! The devil knew, the king of Moab knew, and Balaam knew, that idols and fornication would corrupt Israel and put them in a weakened condition, and God would withdraw His protection.
  • BSP on Ezekiel 21 - 9 years ago
Verse 5: The Israelites would know that it was Jehovah God who was executing his judgment upon them by means of destruction by the Babylonian king.

Verse 11: We may face ridicule, opposition, and difficulties for striving to serve Jehovah God, but this verse promises us that God will not hold back ANYTHING good to those who walk in integrity. This is very encouraging and gives us comfort and hope.
  • BSP on Luke 12 - 9 years ago
Verse 20: This man's material things could not save his life and would not benefit him after his death. We need to develop a balanced view of material things.

In this world we face daunting trials and circumstances, but we can find our strength in Jehovah God. He will help us to have the power we need to cope and he will guide us in the best course to take in life.

  • Joyce Joseph on Numbers 25 - 9 years ago
The children of Israel were warned by God not to get themselves entangled with the strangers around them. They saw what happened when others were disobedient. Why were they bent on provoking God who took such good care of them over and over again. Phinehas was right to do what he did.
  • Usha Kiran on Psalms 91 - 9 years ago

  • TR Ahlstrom on Psalms 126 - 9 years ago
If our heart is hard, no tears will flow. It is, moreover, of no avail to invent such sorrow. Crocodile tears don't count. But when we truly consider the God against whom we have sinned and terrors of Calvary where those sins were laid fully on the LORD Jesus, the rivers of our eyes will be opened.

First our mind is awakened to God. Then our heart is broken.
  • Word on 2 Thessalonians 2 - 9 years ago
Read subject, first verse because the whole chapter is explaining exactly what will take place at the very end.It is saying that before the Lord comes that the son of perdition/ Satan will come and the whole world will chase after him an many Christians will be deceived right along with them, falling away so if they tell you Christ is here or there don't go because it's not Him.Put it all together
  • Vanessa on John 1 - 9 years ago
Insight777 before Christ they sacrificed lambs for their sins in moses time, Christ soul purpose was to come and die on the cross for our sins, they no longer needed a lamb he was the lamb, he was the only born of flesh unlike us from dust, he is the spirit, the dove of peace, he is the light, not of dark and those that follow him and believe in him, shall live in light forever thank you Jesus
  • Randy on 2 John 1 - 9 years ago
The flesh profits nothing! Make no provision for the flesh! Now there is no more condemnation for those in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh! Jesus condemned sin in the flesh for us!!! For as much then as Christ has suffered in the flesh for us, arm yourselves with the same mind. For he that has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin! By faith are we saved. Not by works.
  • Ernest Foster on Revelation 21 - 9 years ago

God is moving. The spread of the Gospel is off to a fine start. The message here is for us to be part of the effort to spread the gospel in our own little corners. There may be adversities and opposition but like Paul, Barnabas and other disciples, we must be prepared to soldier on for Christ.
  • Peter A. Okebukola on 1 Chronicles 21 - 9 years ago
I am in perfect agreement with you (A Disciple) on this. Thanks for your elucidation
  • A disciple on 1 Samuel 11 - 9 years ago
So much goes through our minds as we read this chapter! Samuel knew why God sent him to make Saul the king of Israel; because the People had rejected God as their King, and they envied the heathen nations around them. But the LORD gave them allowance anyway, so long as their king would be the man of God to lead them to victory over their enemies. Oh what could have been if Saul had been that man!
