"Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men." There are some things that are so horrible that we cannot dare to think it possible that Jesus was also referring to THEM when He said this. Not every girl who is pressured to abort her baby deserves to be permanently cursed and condemned. There are wicked forces at work which go about to deceive and devour us!
  • BSP on 1 Samuel 4 - 9 years ago
In verse 11 we see that the 2 wicked sons of Eli were killed in the battle. They did not have God's spirit.
  • A disciple on Psalms 22 - 9 years ago
What is pleasing to God Almighty is for us to fear Him and keep His commandments; and believe His report concerning His Son in the Scriptures! What also makes the Lord stand up in honor of His servants, is when they are filled with the Holy Spirit, and boldly and accurately TELL THE PEOPLE THEIR SINS! Stephen was a great example of this. If we seek to please men we shouldn't be Christ's servants!
  • BSP on 1 Samuel 2 - 9 years ago
This is a prayer where Hannah was praising God and expressing her deep faith in God. We can learn lessons from this prayer when we are praying to God.

Proverbs 26:17 "He that passes by, and meddles with strife belonging not to him, is like one that takes a dog by the ears." Like the one who answers a matter before he hears it, those who butt in to other people's business, and then presume to take sides without first knowing the matter; are looking to get bit. There's too much misguided tolerance of false teaching and open opposition to the Word
  • BSP on 1 Timothy 4 - 9 years ago
Verse 12: There can be many good things learned from the example of wise young ones. We should not look down on younger ones just because of their age.
  • BSP on Psalms 119 - 9 years ago
Verses 97-100: For those who delight in God's Word and apply it in their lives, they can be found to be wiser than so called wise ones of this world.
  • BSP on Isaiah 40 - 9 years ago
Verse 8: Some have tried to destroy God's Word throughout the centuries, but this verse shows that God's Word endures forever.
  • Ray321 on John 6 - 9 years ago
John 6:20 But he saith unto them, It is I be not afraid. Thank you Lord for being there with me when my enemies wants to take me down.
  • BSP on 1 Samuel 1 - 9 years ago
Verse 6: Peninnah bullied Hannah because she was jealous of her. This attitude is looked down upon here and it shows how Jehovah God views bullying.
  • Ray321 on John 5 - 9 years ago
John 5:14 Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee. Jesus told the man that had infirmity 38 years on the bed to rise up sin no more. The man sin was hurting him. Romans 7:20 Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me. Paul still had a problem with sin.
  • Ray321 on John 3 - 9 years ago
Romans 16:17 Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned and avoid them. Philippians 3:14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. I know if I tell the truth about the Gospel, people might see the Light and believe. Share the Gospel....
  • Ray321 on John 2 - 9 years ago
1 Timothy 3:8 Likewise must the deacons be grave, not doubletongued, not given to much wine, not greedy of filthy lucre. We all know that bring drunk is a sin. 1 Timothy 5:23 Drink no longer water, but use a little wine for thy stomach's sake and thine often infirmities. Wine is good if sick. The wine is the symbol of Jesus's blood.
  • BSP on Ruth 4 - 9 years ago
Ruth's loyal love was with a great reward. She had a chance to become an ancestress of Jesus Christ.
  • A disciple on Ezekiel 34 - 9 years ago
While we easily see the use in describing a mutual relation between those to whom the Word is first directed, and their modern-day counterparts; it is in a spirit of error that men are willing to sacrifice (slaughter) what is morally right, for the advancement of their own base gain and for their Satanic need of being recognized by men as a "holy one" and a "very religious and influential" man.
  • A disciple on Psalms 113 - 9 years ago
How are we to PRAISE THE LORD? Throughout the Bible, whenever the Anointed Writers called for Praise and Worship; there is the accompanying recital of God's Wonderful Works Toward The Children Of Men! All His works shall praise Him! A man makes his own praise by his character and deeds of selfless benevolence; HOW MUCH MORE GOD! Who is more benevolent, more kind and gentle and long-suffering? AMEN
  • A disciple on Jeremiah 20 - 9 years ago
"Wherefore came I forth out of the womb to see labour and sorrow, that my days should be consumed with shame?" Since Cain murdered his brother; since the entire human race that once had the knowledge of God refused anymore to receive the striving of the Spirit of God; since the Nations have made the doctrine and spirit of the heathen their Natural Mind; the whole creation waits on God's vengeance.
  • BSP on Ruth 2 - 9 years ago
Ruth showed the quality of humility that we can imitate here. She did not just presume to glean even though she had the right to. She asked in a kind way and she received a kind response.
  • BSP on Ruth 1 - 9 years ago
Verse 14: Ruth showed loyalty by sticking with her mother-in-law through good times and bad times. We do well to imitate her loyalty.
  • A disciple on Mark 6 - 9 years ago
"And the king was exceeding sorry; yet for his oath's sake, and for their sakes which sat with him, he would not reject her." Just BEING SORRY is not repentance if there's nothing in the heart that would act on the Word of God and be converted. Sitting day after day in a stew of conviction, but never getting up and coming to Jesus to get right with God, will only add to the evil of a damned life.
  • A disciple on Mark 6 - 9 years ago
"and many hearing him were astonished, saying, From whence hath this man these things?" How are people more readily inclined to believe evil! God means good to raise up His Saints from among the people, of their own children and their neighbors' children; but His love is scoffed at and wickedly maligned, and the one raised up and sent to them is a scandal to them! Woe to them who call good evil!
  • A disciple on Psalms 22 - 9 years ago
Leslie (cont.); Who were the ones who were constantly coming around to oppose and contradict the Lord Jesus, and impugn His goodness and mercy and divine ministry? Who were the ones that said He did everything by the power of the devil, and was deceiving the people? How did the Lord always answer and speak to that kind; both through His Prophets, and in person? The truth rebukes the devil's works.
  • A disciple on Psalms 22 - 9 years ago
Leslie; rebuking is not accusing; and a regular duty in defending the Glad Tidings of Jesus Christ. If you had read the whole history of this thread, you would see that some were castigating "the whole Christian interpretation" of the Scriptures as if it is an intentional twisting of the words to support believing in Christ. Having no desire to believe their only interest is to harass and contend.
  • Leslie Hirschfeld on Psalms 22 - 9 years ago
Who is the accuser of the brethren? You know. Does the comment you left Dan please God Almighty? You stand before Christ alone to account for your life at the end of this life. Be careful what your tongue is saying. God bless you exceedingly abundantly above all you could ever ask or think.
    Your SIC, Leslie

Manny: You are right that the word trinity is not in the bible but if you read with understanding it is all thru it. Def. of trinity--God three in one. Mat 28:19, 1 Cor. 12 3-6, 1 Peter 1:2, That is only 3 of the 52 places mentioned. Good reading and bless you for studying the WORD.
  • Anonymous on Psalms 113 - 9 years ago
Psalms 113:3 reminds me that God is to be praised everyday of our lives, no matter what the time, no matter where we are, or what we're going through. It reminds me that we shouldn't forget about God and how great he is he's to be praised at all times.

I love it! He's the starter and finisher of each day. I find value in each verse in the Bible, the life manual
