But if any man be ignorant, let him be ignorant. V. 38. There are those, as the Bible states, will struggle in their ignorance of scripture, to their destruction.

There are to be no divisions in the body Christ. In the house of Chloe there contentions. One is of Paul, one of Cephas, one Apollos, one of Christ. My brethren this should not be. Seems the divisions became worse as time marched on. Remains to be seen how this division will end.
  • Peter A. Okebukola on Acts 16 - 9 years ago
God was the protector and guide of Paul and Silas. He saw them through the thick and thin of their missionary journeys. The Holy Spirit was in hand to tell them where to go and not to go. Wherever they went, coverts were won. Even when jailed, God came to the rescue. It is the same God today and we must look up to him for daily guidance. In turn, we should spread the gospel to lost souls.

Hope deferred maketh the heart sick, but when the desire cometh it is a tree of life. Proverbs 13:12

Great verse on having dreams, aspirations, goals, and other such things. ACTION! ACTION PRODUCES DESIRE! ACTION PERSUADES THE HEART! I'm shooting for a beautiful and healthy neuroplastic forest. Trees are so cool. Rainbow Eucalyptus, Larch, White Birch, Myrtle are some of my favorites.

Mr. Diffin and Dan; lastly, it is not going to be by picking apart translations that you will find the salvation of God, nor by being Jews does it guarantee you a reserved seat up in front! But he that DOES the will of the Father; which is to BELIEVE ON HIM WHOM HE HAS SENT. WHERE NOW are the ones who constantly tried to catch Jesus in something He said or did, to find fault and to condemn Him?
  • A disciple on Psalms 22 - 9 years ago
Mr. Diffin and Dan (cont.); In the 2nd Psalm God's commandment is for ALL the heathen, and ALL the people, ALL KINGS AND JUDGES OF THE EARTH; to "KISS THE SON" whom He has made King of all the earth, or perish! Isaiah 53 describes the Anointed's sufferings as from God's hand in order to pay for the sins of the world; for which He is well pleased in Him! But, "Who has believed OUR REPORT?"
  • A disciple on Psalms 22 - 9 years ago
Mr. Diffin and Dan; If you go back to the beginning in Genesis 3, The LORD God questioned the man and his wife, and then pronounced sentence on the devil; that Christ would come in the flesh, born of a woman, and would break his head by Himself being bruised. Abel was murdered by Cain because of the faith of Christ to come which Cain rejected. By the time of the cataclysm only Noah still believed.

Paye Youpele (cont.); The term, "That the Scripture might be fulfilled," doesn't mean that God plans ahead to make anyone sin! Then everyone could blame Him for making them something that He just wanted to destroy anyway! THAT IS A THOUGHT FROM THE DEVIL! What the Holy Spirit moved the holy Prophets and Apostles to write their observations and judgments, became Law of God; which must be fulfilled.
  • A disciple on John 13 - 9 years ago
Paye Youpele; Judas was NOT chosen so he could betray the Lord! Israel was not brought out of the bondage and cruel oppression of Egypt so they could defy God and resist His Spirit and that He may be able to leave them for forty years in the wilderness to die! God saves us with the fullest of good intentions! It is man's fault for his own selfishness if he DECIDES to betray the Lord and fall away!

Psalms 23:3 "He restores my soul: he leads me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake." I think we can mostly all agree, that when we're first saved, we can hardly see just how much we are a ruined soul and even as we begin to learn the Word of God, it takes a long time to really understand the depths of that ruin, and how good for nothing we are. The only way for us to know is by His Spirit showing us both in the Scriptures, and in real life acknowledgement of the truth by a good and honest heart examining itself in the Light, and being able and willing to appropriately deal with what is revealed. That's a start! There are centuries and so many generations of all that people have done in the world, and the results of their sins that must be gone through and cleaned up. Like someone who has to go through a neglected area of an attic, or garage, or an old house you have to sort through what has been accumulating, or kept for whatever reasons, and then make the decision what to keep and to what we must say Good-bye. The Bible is the Divine Record of Truth about man's entire history and condition. Learning about what has happened, is not for mere academic interests and a "big head" full of information, but is in large part for how we are going to learn how to work with the Holy Spirit in cleaning up, and sorting out, and how God RESTORES our souls leading in the paths of righteousness.

The Holy Spirit is thy Spiritual Mother, Ruach HaKodesh, The Spirit of Wisdom and Truth, The feminine essence of YHWH. Knowledge without wisdom and truth means nothing. Selah
  • Paye Youpele on John 13 - 9 years ago
John 3: 18 I know whom I have chosen but that the scripture may be fulfilled. Judas was only chosen to betray the lord to facilitate the mission of the lord. May the good lord choose us for something positive.
  • Patty on Psalms 18 - 9 years ago
Nothing is a tall order in Jesus! He won the victory over our enemies.
We have the victory in Jesus over the minutest details of our lives.
We are more than conquers in Jesus. And His our Champion.

This prayer is uprooting evil that lives in my house. Amen
  • Mark Diffin on Psalms 22 - 9 years ago
Dan, looks like we are on the same page. Also look at the messianic verse in Zach ch8 v23: Thus saith the LORD of hosts; In those days it shall come to pass, that ten men shall take hold out of all languages of the nations, even shall take hold of the skirt of him that is a Jew, saying, We will go with you: for we have heard that God is with you. ADisciple: Which commandments do you believe in?
  • A disciple on Psalms 22 - 9 years ago
Dan (cont.); further, sir; the "lies" which the Gentiles inherited are the heathen lies and idols against the LORD and against His Anointed (Christ), Psalm 2. The saved believers taken from among the Nations, have been grafted into the good tree which Israel despises and rejects! They are made one in the Commonwealth of Israel through the blood of Christ; but the children who disobey are cast out!
  • A disciple on Psalms 22 - 9 years ago
Dan (cont.); when the Translators decided on a "rendering" of a word; as "Pierced;" for an act of violence done to Christ; why should that become a point for you to be willing to deny the Lord? When Jesus rose from the dead, He kept the nail prints in His hands and feet! Only the Christ was to rise from the dead after bearing the sins of the world! You put yourself in a very dangerous place!
  • A disciple on Psalms 22 - 9 years ago
Dan; The Hebrew Bible that is around today, isn't the whole word of God; for it is missing the New Testament! And when you talk to an Orthodox Jew, and ask for the meaning of ANY of the Scriptures referring to Christ; he will have very strange answers for everything, and every explanation INSTEAD OF JESUS! They don't believe the Scriptures, but twist them out of all meaning, just to deny Christ!
  • A disciple on 2 Samuel 1 - 9 years ago
Ren; The man lied thinking he would get some kind of reward for telling those things to David; but David saw right through his wicked show, and said to him, "How were you not afraid to raise your hand against the LORD's Anointed?" and that was the reason he was put to death! David was in a position to give sentence against such wickedness. But those in power today refuse to execute God's judgment!
  • A disciple on Genesis 2 - 9 years ago
Daybreak; You say that God inspired the Scriptures; but is offended if we really understand them? That makes no sense whatever! Why then would God have gone through all the pain and trouble, and so many of His servants been persecuted and killed, to bring us the Word; when there's no way to understand it accurately? THE HOLY SPIRIT IS SENT TO US TO TEACH US ALL THINGS AND TO GUIDE US IN ALL TRUTH!
  • Peter A. Okebukola on Acts 15 - 9 years ago
The early Apostles were devoted and committed and depended absolutely on the Holy Spirit for guidance. They resolved thorny matters including circumcision through the guidance of the Holy Spirit. The lesson here is for us to look onto the Holy Spirit to guide our lives. Paul and Barnabas have now become separated to continue spreading the Gospel in different directions. Praise the Lord.

  • Peter A. Okebukola on 1 Chronicles 22 - 9 years ago
David did well to prepare his son Solomon to build the house for the Lord. He mobilised materials and men and encouraged young Solomon to achieve the feat. The message here is for us to obey the Lord and do what He bids us to do in all things because He is a perfect God.
  • Zoe on Daniel 1 - 9 years ago
And so it says “So he consented to them in this matter, and proved them ten days.” I like it. It proves that they really did say that they put shadrach, meshach, and abendigo went to the fires den.
