I do think that David was upset bc it wasn't something he was going to do nor wanted this ch,vs28-29,Abner although arrogant,He is a person devious or not,it wasn't really the way to deal with the situation, just bc Abner has a nasty attitude, doesn't mean its now"ok"for others to be the same way,if it was wrong of Abner then it would have been wrong 4others,its not really honorable its revenge, opin

    Heidi,

I thought the same way you did until one day my eyes my were opened. I would rather be in church doing what God has commanded of me than sitting at home not being a disciple. I started by listening to the bible with me earphones on while I was relaxing. I found at first I fell asleep then all of a sudden it was like I craved to hear more. I listen to the Bible being narrated a lot now.
  • Phil on Numbers 34 - 9 years ago
If our life is already chosen for us, how can we possibly have free will? To genuinely have free will our lives cannot be chosen for us. If our life is chosen for us, we, by definition, have no say in the matter of how our life will play out because it has all already been decided for us.
  • David Davies on John 3 - 9 years ago
Mr disciple: I'm sorry, I'm going to read All the past comments more carefully. I believe we are saved by Grace, If I didn't I wouldn't be Born Again. But what I was saying was that we as believers SADLY do sometimes fail. But Jesus Promises that He will never leave us nor forsake us. As you said Mr disciple He will never give up on weak believers. Even if we do backslide we are still saved.
  • David Davies on John 3 - 9 years ago
Mr disciple: I totally agree we are saved by Grace. My testimony. I was a vile, unclean sinful person. But then I came to Christ repented from my sins and put my faith and trust in Christ. I believe that Jesus took my place on the Cross, suffered, bled and died for ME and rose the third day. I am now a new creature, saved by Grace and have NO disire to go back to my old life. I DO NOT look back.

Verse 1: Jehovah had reassured Joshua that he would be victorious. He had already planned to give the king of Ai into Joshua's hand.
  • BSP on Joshua 6 - 9 years ago
Verse 20: This was a divine act from God. Jehovah God simply made all the walls fall flat. There is no obstacle to great for Jehovah God.

I am so glad I can turn to the Lord. In the timeof trouble he shall hide me.He's my friend when I need someone to talk to.Whe I get lonely I can call him. When my strength weakens I can lean on him. My heart feels like it's bleeding at times because of heartbreak. He heals broken hearts and diseases.Thank You Lord for healing and deliverance and I am so glad I can depend on you at all times.

When the Lord Jesus was 40 days tempted of the devil, one of the things that the liar came and said to Jesus, was how the whole world was given into his hand: the devil is a LIAR! NOTHING is his; ALL IS GOD'S! The devil is a warped-minded pervert who can never repent, and is filled with violent rage because HE IS CAST OUT! The condition of the ungodly and their world are all in God's hands always!
  • A disciple on John 2 - 9 years ago
"THIS first miracle!" The first that Jesus does in showing His power is to show that God brings the best for making glad the heart of man; the good wine! gallons and gallons of the best wine! The Lord is not penny-pinching with this young couple on the day of the gladness of their heart; and He loves to give happiness and comfort for good and wholesome things, that He has made for us to enjoy.
  • A disciple on Jeremiah 18 - 9 years ago
"At what instant.." The very moment that the LORD has a thought and expresses it by words; if at that very moment the man either responds by acknowledging the truth honestly, and turns FROM his sins and the evil ways of his life; or if he lets his heart's lusts and vanities deceive him so that he now turns FROM his righteousness; SO QUICKLY LIKEWISE WILL THE LORD REPENT of what He was about to do.
  • BSP on Psalms 61 - 9 years ago
The Psalmist was asking for God to elevate him because he felt so low. We can pray for the same thing.

This knowledge is very much needed for me. Makes me think about alot of things. I wish my son could'hve understood the part about keeping guard over the influences we encounter. He is now incarcerated for making a bad decision and before he knew or met certain people, he was a good kid. Praying he doesnt have to do to much time. He's only 21

If Christ was not in the commentary it would be hard to understand. The reason I say that is today the animal sacrifice no longer exist.

a disciple...I believe the same concerning who the two witnesses but confused when the scriptures say John the Baptist came in the spirit of Elijah; Luke 1:17 And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord. John did die.

Dan123, Man says, show me and I will believe, God says, believe and I will show you. Not always what you want, but always what you need, is what God has for us all. Faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God." There is none to help", said by the only help man has ever had in the matter of salvation. So far from the Father, to find us and save us. Forsaken never, it just feels that way.
  • Peter A. Okebukola on Acts 8 - 9 years ago
The apostles are all fired up! The Holy Spirit is at work. We can also be fired up for Christ if we have the Holy Spirit. Money cannot buy it. We need to come pleading for it after salvation and sanctification. The Ethiopian eunuch's story tells us to pray for the Holy Spirit to guide us when we are reading the Bible for proper interpretation.
  • Peter A. Okebukola on 1 Chronicles 16 - 9 years ago
The inaugural psalm of David in this chapter is moving. It underlines the need for us to praise God ALWAYS and give him adoration for His power and might.
  • Ren on 1 Samuel 4 - 9 years ago
I think he does talk to his children but some r so busy that they just don't hear him.He speaks in a quiet soft voice u have to really listen to hear him.Slow down be quiet and u will hear him.

1 Corinthians 6:13 Meats for the belly, and the belly for meats: but God shall destroy both it and them. Now the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord and the Lord for the body. The meat of the Word is Jesus. Eat and get full...

Ephesians 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, We are sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise. For Ever . AMEN
  • Ray321 on John 2 - 9 years ago
John 2:11 This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his glory and his disciples believed on him. Jesus turn water into good wine, this is the first miracle. Wine was a symbol of HIS blood.
  • Ray321 on John 1 - 9 years ago
John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. THE WORD IS GOD. Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. The Word is ALIVE. think GOD

  • A disciple on Deuteronomy 29 - 9 years ago
Oh what a great lesson that is! Our Father is good to all BECAUSE HE IS GOOD! We are to learn from the Lord Jesus Christ everything we need to grow up into that man or woman that Our Father in heaven ever wanted us to be. It was always His desire, and always His plans, in all His dealings with us; when we didn't know Him, and now that we're just learning to know Him: He is high above little minds.
  • A disciple on John 3 - 9 years ago
David; you said,"If we say we are saved and then keep sinning, we Never were saved." In one sense, yes; but in another we will need the Lord's mercy and one another's as long as we are here; and we will need grace also when we have to forgive and bear with others; and this will take time and practice! Yes we ARE new creatures in Christ; old things ARE passed away, and ALL THINGS HAVE BECOME NEW.
  • A disciple on John 3 - 9 years ago
David; of course I agree! I know in my heart and am fully convinced that Jesus' blood cleanses from all sin when we confess them and repent. I also know that the Lord Jesus laid down His life and died for us, and we cost Him dearly: and He doesn't so easily give up on stupid and weak believers, nor on them that may have fallen prey to wicked things in corrupted leadership. Jesus' grace is greater!
