  • Latonia Ridley Franklin on Psalms 23 - 9 years ago
I learned this scripture as a child. It is the first scripture that I learned. My Aunt SHIRLEY, whom has gone on to GLORY, inspired me to learn it. I REALLY THANK GOD for PSALMS 23, IN THE MIGHTYOU NAME OF JESUS! THE LORD RESTORERS MY SOUL and LEADETH ME INTO THE PATHS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS, FOR HIS NAMES SAKE! JESUS IS A POWERFUL GOD-GIVEN NAME! THERE IS NO OTHER NAME WHERE-BY MEN WILL BE SAVED! AMEN
  • Paul on Genesis 1 - 9 years ago
This was to show the awesome power of our Lord God. In taking steps he wanted us to see that he could do anything, but it would be on his own time not on our time. Remember that God does everything on his time not ours. This may seem like an answer this question might not fit, but try to have an open mind please. We are tested each day as believes.

Norm nothing U said is scripture except Acts 2. The rest religious traditions of men to freak people out to fill a church, you a preacher.Nothing will happen in America and business as always will go on but then a Christ which is instead of Christ comes who sets up a 1 world system and he will have powers that none has ever seen before and they will worship him and spiritual death will run wild.
  • Mele Vea on Matthew 6 - 9 years ago
I believe that this verse serves as a reminder of Gods goodness and grace. He reminds us to keep our eyes on the real prize, that is in heaven and not on the superficial materialistic prizes or treasures we may claim on earth for all those things do not last for ever but the tressures in heaven do. So we must be obedient and heed his we word in order to receive the treasures up in heaven and eternal life with the lord.

Telling us that the son of perdition which is death, Satan, will be in Jerusalem claiming he is God and then the true Christ comes at the 7th trump. Now are you going to believe the deception and have pleasure in his one world system thinking antichrist is Christ and worship a false messiah. Satan is going to look like the real deal with power. So pray and ask Father to let you see the truth.
  • Ae on John 1 - 9 years ago
Everything was made by the word including universe, only human beings were created by God, that's why the word of God says "what is man that you are mindful of him"

  • Irene123 on Philippians 4 - 9 years ago
    V. 22 - All the saints salute you ..........of Caesar's household. That just sent chills of joy up my spine when I first read it. In the GREAT MAN'S house, saints were busy praying for others living and working there. I love His Word; it has so many little 'things' we miss in our general reading and skipping to our favorite verses. It's these 'hidden' things HE shows us.
  • Rev Autrey on John 1 - 9 years ago
When John says "In the beginning was the word. ... and the Word was God," he is talking about name recognition and not the dividing of God into three parts or three separate persons. Your name or name recognition is who you are or how you see yourself. That is to say, God sees himself as Jesus, and this is how he came to us that Christmas day to die for how sins.

  • Sherman McFarland on Genesis 1 - 9 years ago
I believe this is for our benefit. This described the importance our words and the desired of our hearts. If we are double minded, we receive nothing. If our heart and mind agrees, Yahuah grants our prayer of declaration.
  • Irene123 on Acts 7 - 9 years ago
Michael C. touched on it lightly; has anyone REALLY noticed Stephen's speech? It was all by rote!! This man KNEW the O.T. scriptures!! How GLORIOUS! To love the Lord Jesus so much, that from his youth he learned them. And you know it was from his youth - Deut. 6:7; 2 Tim. 3:15 Little is said of Stephen, but - he was as great as Paul.
  • Irene123 on Acts 5 - 9 years ago
To Joseph on v.30 - as you see it; Heb. 11:1. Also, it says 'tree', so how do you know it wasn't a literal Olive or Fig tree, still growing in the ground? He was 'nailed' to something. but as I see it - that/s what saves us and is important: Acts 2:38 is our salvation: PETER said so (and so did Jesus in Matt. 28:19). The 'tree' is just something one uses as a distraction to those searching.
  • Irene123 on Acts 4 - 9 years ago
v.13 - tells me that the Jewish muckety-mucks KNEW pretty much all about it; they knew the O.T. prophecies and that Jesus had fulfilled them. But, by now, they had their own agenda, which bro"t in more to the coffers, and gave them more power.

When God created heaven and earth one would think that it would have been completely created and it would not have been necessary to create each thing separately.

This verse is what inspired me to pray for an estranged friend, the day after we had our major fight. Unfortunately, their actions as a lost person have prevented reconciliation up until now but I pray they get saved and that we can reconcile.

  • Peter best on Psalms 1 - 9 years ago
I particularly like this verse "But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night." Isn't that great? I love the word "meditate" day and night because it is relaxing. I just looked in the dictionary.
Rest, Relaxing and Meditation are healthy mechanisms of improving the mind and or the neurons, as it is all the same thing, my current study. (maybe a pun?)
  • Pater on Genesis 2 - 9 years ago
I have been doing research on the mind and brain for near 10 years or so; and I can see what Adam and Eve was possibly like when they were created and how God and Adam possibly conversed and how Adam listen without a worry or trouble simply enjoying good food, health, etc. and possibly what open his eyes and mind to knowledge; the knowledge of Good and Evil; and thus how we have to follow Jesus et

    Noah And Adam
There are many similarities between Noah's and Adam and Eve's Fall in the Garden of Eden. First, God planted a garden in Eden while Noah planted a vineyard. Noah ate of the fruit and became naked. The effects of sin were still evident after the Flood. Noah's sin, like Adam and Eve's, was seen in his nakedness. Noah is the 2nd Adam. Another type/antitype. Even more so Cain/Canaan.
  • Netlace on Genesis 9 - 9 years ago
The changing of grape juice to wine would occur quickly after the flood vs before because of the fall of the canopy. Whether the wine was leftover from before the flood or after, the new conditions of earth was new to Noah. I don't believe the age of his grandson is disclosed so time unknown. But prior to the flood wine kept a long time as unfermented. Noah walked with God, this was unintentional.
