received from progenitors or predecessors as if by succession: Absolute rule was considered the inheritance of kings.
  • Keith on Hebrews 1 - 9 years ago
He was God's "WORD" manifested in the flesh Manifest: reveal, disclose, evince, evidence, demonstrate, declare, express . Also, he became King of Kings,Lord of Lords through "INHERITANCE" portion birthright heritage:the genetic characters transmitted from parent to offspring, taken collectively.Something, as a quality, characteristic, or other immaterial possession,

Matthew 24:36 36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but "MY FATHER"only. Mark 13:32 32 But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, "NEITHER THE SON", but the Father. Jesus Christ "is" Lord and we can all agree on that, but he is "BEGOTTEN" especially of a male parent to procreate or generate offspring . He was G

  • HAW on Matthew 16 - 9 years ago
It seems as if Jesus was warning the disciples of the external pressure of "other doctrines" that seek to infiltrate the Church. The church is made pure by God through Christ and we as Christians are the custodians of it. If we are not vigilant and alert, we cannot maintain the purity and unity of the Church.
  • Judith on Psalms 10 - 9 years ago
I cry upon the Lord often to humble me and to give me a clean heart to enable me to help other, but when I pray, it is at anytime and it is not just a set time on bending knees. I understand that we are to call on God thru our Lord for strength to endure issues, and any reason. And I depend on Him because I ask myself, who knows me better than Him. I thank God thru Christ for humbling me when know one else can and the guidance to manage myself, others and things I can not do without Him...so for that...I say yes God our Lord for all that I experience and HIM caring and guiding me thru it with humbleness.

It gives me so much hope and strength. God is telling me, just as I deliver David my Son I God will also deliver you my daughter. So when the enemies are plotting against you and they at times are close in your circles , remember, that in all your ways acknowledge God and he our Heavenly Father will direct our path. He will be our protector and our loving God, trust in God. Amen.

  • Irene123 on Acts 10 - 9 years ago
To Jacob - I 'think' I get what you are saying; that Paul is the better of the 2 (Peter), to follow. I found 2 scriptures of Paul's that dispute following him - IF that is what you said ...? They're both in 1 Cor.ch.1. He speaks of this VERY thing and in the last verse makes it plain we are to follow - JESUS. ALL Bible scripture is His, not man's.
  • Irene123 on Acts 9 - 9 years ago
V, 7 - they head the voice .....; just like Malchus in the gospels, I wonder, did they turn to God with Paul? we'll never know this side of Heaven. Maybe they couldn't understand the words ....? Saul was so full of ZEAL for God, not knowing who he was; so God just took his zeal and - turned him around. I love Paul; so does our pastor. There have been many who have been near like Paul, but not quite
  • Irene123 on Acts 8 - 9 years ago
    V. 4 - Therefore they that were scattered abroad went everywhere preaching the word. If we won't go our ownselves - God will make a way. They did fine in Jerusalem, but the Lord wanted it to the ends of the earth.
  • Irene123 on Amos 5 - 9 years ago
    V. 8 - is so beautiful; if people could just SEE it ...............
  • Irene123 on Proverbs 3 - 9 years ago
Pro 3:13,18 - I was just looking for something to read and wanted something relatively pleasant, so thought I'd try this book. I love the 'wisdom' verses, but noticed v.18; as I read "she is a tree of life" I immediately remembered Gen. The Gen. tree of life no doubt had a lot to do with - wisdom.
Jus thought I'd toss that out there ...........

Love the Lord God with all your heart, mind, and spirit, then all these things will be added unto you. Then we can all speak in love and kindnesses towards each other in whatsoever man may ask of us
  • MockingBird on 1 Peter 3 - 9 years ago
To sanctify the Lord God in your heart is to set apart : I must alway be ready at any given moment to give a answer to any one or any thing of the hope that is within me : Meekness is an awareness of the presence of God within and subject to Holy Spirit leading in the fear of God : Holy Spirit will give me in that hour what I ought to speak !!

  • Lestie on 1 Peter 3 - 9 years ago
Baptism is an outward expression of our faith but it is not required for salvation. If it were, then our Salvation would be based on works. Seventh Day Adventists and other denominations teach that baptism is required for salvation in error.
