Jesus had some secrets that he did not reveal about the kingdom, that it wd come as a birth via a seed in mankinds hearts,but it was hid from the wise and prudent but revealed unto babes,the babes are spritual babes that are gonna be BORN in US ( THE HEAVENLY BIRTH ) Ya gotta realize there is a Child coming that is gonna be born in US via his seed,it was not even revealed unto the disciples at that time,When they argued amongest themselves which was gonna be the greatest Jesus took a lil child and set him in their mists, it was prophetic that he is gonna put a Child in our mists in our hearts which is the H.G. and that is who is the greatest but that was the secret our new innerman which answers to the NEW BIRTH,THAT NEW CREATURE. Neither circumcision nor uncircumcision impling neither jew nor gentile but a new creature which is the H.G. That is new to us but is Old being he was with GOD b/f the world was.Out of their hearts they shall bring forth things new and old thats our new innerman that new creature but is really old since he was preordained b/f the world was.We were all born by the will of some man its only our new innerman that is born by the will of God,not a flesh and blood but a spritual being his name sake. To better understand Matthew 24, we should start by reading verses 29-30, then go back to the beginning. And as we read and examine the admonitions of Christ in this Chapter, we should keep reflecting on these two pivotal verses.

It is unquestionably the case, that Matthew is written for the followers of Christ. Whether the theme is the Jewish lineage of Christ or fulfillment of OT Messianic prophecy, Matthew was written for the Believer.

And that is how the Chapter begins. Christ outlines the events preceding His Return and the end of the age. These are two conjunctive events that are dependent on eachother.

This is the only place in the entire Bible where it identifies a specific time for the Return of Christ. And it is Christ Himself who tells us, His Disciples, when He will Return.

First, He identifies several things that will happen. One is the spread of the Gospel throughout the world. Then the Revelation of the AntiChrist, as he sits in the Holy of Holies in the Temple in Jerusalem and proclaims himself God.

Daniel 7-9, 2 Thessalonians 2 and Revelation 13, among others, help put this in perspective for us. The Abomination, the AntiChrist enters the Temple to desecrate it, in the middle of the week. That is, 3 1/2 years into the Tribulation.

The act that desecrates the Temple, initiates the Great Tribulation. That latter half of the 7 year Tribulation will last approximately 3 1/2 years more.

Then, Jesus emphasizes, then and only then, you will see me Return. Don't be fooled, Jesus cautions. I will Return IMMEDIATELY AFTER all these things. Not before, AFTER. IMMEDIATELY AFTER the Great Tribulation of those days.

Keep in mind that this is the only place in the entire Bible were we are given a specific time for the Return of Jesus. And it is Jesus Himself who tells us. Don't be fooled, Jesus cautions.

After the Great Tribulation we will be gathered up to meet Jesus in the air. See similarities in language with 1 Thess 4 and others.

29 So ye in like manner, when ye shall see these things come to pass, know that it is nigh, even at the doors.

Note: I was so busy with 8-5 /job making sure money flowed to maintain the american dream. 75% of the dream was having perishable stuff /idols that rust or moths eat up. I don't find it confusing as it sorts of or do give an outline in Chapter 1 I think as any book well written. Then in chapter two, it follows up. Just read it in the order given but realize that it does not cover everything, and it high lights what God considered important at that time; and now. Then it probably expands as it goes once again considering what God considers important; and of course that would remain the same as for today. I think that that is the way that I look at it, not sure if it is of course as I never thought about it before; however, it all makes sense to me; and i hope some day, to you also.

We know that Adam could talk with God and he was a little lower than the angels and that he was good when he was created; and also that he would have treated his wife good and like all those other words that cleave to or unto means. First, this verse isn't talking about physical birth but spiritual adoption, when looking at verse 3 through verse 5.

[3 For I could wish that myself were accursed from Christ for my brethren, my kinsmen according to the flesh: 4 Who are Israelites; to whom pertained the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of God, and the promises; 5 Whose are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came, who is over all, God blessed for ever. We must be careful in taking a single verse out of Scripture out of context, and yes, God IS infinite, and all knowing, this Scripture isn't talking about His supremacy, nor even predestination, but the grace and mercy of God.

Hi Art, I'm not seeing anything about predestination in that verse or the chapter. What did you read that led you to draw that conclusion? Does God not give people freewill?

Greetings Patti, Elias is the Greek rending of the name. Thus proving the new testament was written in Greek, not Hebrew as some claim. Many of Paul's letters or epistles were to Churches in Greek cities, Ephesians, Corinthians etc.

Patti, you're correct, Elijah (Hebrew) is the same as Elias (Latin/Greek). In Hebrew, his name is actually Eliyyahu, which means "Yahweh is my God", but we say, Elijah, for easier vocalization in English. In Arabic/Urdu, it is, Ilyas.

In Ezekiel 13, the prophecy is against the prophets who prophesy "out of their own hearts & wills" (v 2) & not from God's Word to them. Apparently, both men & women were guilty of this despicable act & the warning was to the men (vv 1-16) & also to the false women prophets (vv 18-23).

It is difficult to interpret verse 18 correctly, as commentators have given several meanings, but it appears that as a result of false prophetic utterings, both the men & women claiming to give the people God's Word, were doing so using divination & occultic practises (vv 6-9, 23). So verse 18 seems to refer to one such practice employed by the 'women prophetesses', that is, those "that sew pillows to all armholes, and make kerchiefs upon the head of every stature to hunt souls! Will ye hunt the souls of my people, and will ye save the souls alive that come unto you?"

It seems that these women graphically portrayed their authority from God & message of peace ("which see visions of peace for (Israel), and there is no peace" v 16). They wore veils (kerchiefs = handkerchiefs) over their heads pretending to be in touch with God & also resting comfortably at their tables (pillows at their 'elbows' = armholes = armpits) visually indicating the continuing peace & security of Israel (vv 10,11). All this is false prophecy the LORD had declared, rather, Israel would suffer much pain & hardship (vv 10-15).

I hope that I have given you as close an understanding to your query, though I remain open to other people's interpretation to this.

Hi Wanda, yes, it's always good to learn what the Bible says to us & to be able to discuss its Truths & learn from them. In reading Genesis 3, I do believe that both Adam & Eve were present during Satan's approach to them, to tempt them to sin. And yes, both of them knew that the fruit of that particular tree was forbidden by God for them to eat. Not that the fruit was bad & could cause them harm, but it was God's test of their obedience to their Creator.

And of course, the old Serpent was not far away to entice these sinless souls to committing sin so that now the sinless became the sinner, & so sin passed onto the rest of their descendants (us) through the flesh so tainted ( Romans 5:12). Satan was also around in this manner (as you may remember), when Jesus, God's sinless Son, was also tempted ( Matthew 4:1-11). Jesus was tempted on all points as we are ( Heb 4:15): "the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life". ( 1 Jn 2:16), but unlike Adam & Eve, He resisted Satan's thrusts & relied on God's Word, the Sword of the Spirit, to thwart Satan's offerings to Him. So now, all who believe on Jesus & trust Him for their salvation, are made new creations ( 2 Cor 5:17) who still have the body of sin, but now a new enlivened spirit touched by the Spirit of God ( Rom 8:9).

Your observation is correct, in that there is no further mention of the red horses after 6:2.

However, in Zech 1:8-10, mention is made of "a man riding on a red horse". Now whether this horse has any bearing on the one seen in 6:2, is not certain, though in both references, the riders are identified as from God "and who walk to & fro through the Earth" (1:11 & 6:7).

Etta, you've raised a valid point, that there are many around us, even amongst believers, who remain fearful & perplexed as to the present pandemic & to what will happen in their 'future' & in the world. True, we can either sit in a corner & fret, or we can be encouraged from God's Word & His Spirit, to us being in the centre of His Will, in His Love & in His Care, no matter what transpires from all this.

And of course, to those without Christ & without hope, what an opportunity to share the news of salvation & to demonstrate our confidence & hope in the Promises of our King. The unbeliever looks at this turmoil in the world & their lives as devastating without any good coming out of it (except for cleaner air & nature returning back to normality), but for us, this time is precious as we take stock of our own faith & real focus in life and the opportunity that God gives to others, to hear His Message of Salvation that gives true Hope in the midst of their crumbling world.

What God is telling us here is that we don't really have a free will. We come predestined - our lives determined in advance by divine will or fate.

Kathy, not sure what you're looking for, but if it has to do with any other Scripture that has resemblance to Psalm 23 in showing God's care for His people, then have a look at: Isaiah 40:9-11; Jeremiah 31:10,11; Ezekiel 34:11-16; John 10:11-17; 1 Peter 2:25. There are of course, many other references to the duty of shepherds & the many shepherds in Israel, not of flocks, but of God's people, who have not done according to what God required of them & therefore received some stern warnings.

Jesus Christ is for believers now, their Great Shepherd, Who not only gave His Life for His sheep, but will one day come to gather them in a special way, into His fold to save them from the Anger of God that is coming upon the world, & to relocate them to a new "sheep pen", i.e. unto Himself in the New Jerusalem where we will be with Him & the Father forever.

Why in Mark 9 verse 4, we read about Elias and Moses, but Elias its Elijah, I know Elias may mean Elias but in the question the answer is Elijah.

You are on the right track. Jesus often used earthly examples to illustrate heavenly truth in a form that our minds can more easily grasp. The lord in the story was a man that employed the servant that owed more than he could ever pay. This pictures that each one of us owes God a debt we can never pay, but he has compassion and forgives us freely in Jesus Christ. The wicked servant proved he was insincere and ungrateful about his own deliverance from bondage when he went out and accosted his fellow servant. If we really appreciate the forgiveness Jesus obtained for us when he died on the cross and was raised from the dead, we should be willing to forgive our brothers and sisters that request it from us. If we refuse to forgive as God has forgiven us, we may be proving that we are pretenders to salvation or disobedient, tormented prisoners of our own bitterness.

I think that all Vanity of vanities, all is vanity. Means all the world goods is vanity. "Nothing". We can't take nothing with us when we die. We are here today and gone tomorrow. Surely we need GOD here on earth and forever. All the things on the earth is vanity when time has past and gone. We work , eat, sleep, raise our children.

Truly We need GOD , the son of GOD,

JESUS CHRIST our LORD and Savior. Believing in him , we live forever. Every thing else is vanity.

We live , we love, and we die. Our members ce is gone. We fly away as a dove in the sky. The life we live is remembered by our live ones, friends. We are written of in books. Taught of in schools , and family our strength , and courage and love. But we leave this world, and fly away with GOD, our FATHER. The ONE that made us, HE takes back what he made. All is vanity in this world.

I have never had any visions of end-time events. All I have is what was given to John in the book of Revelation. Plus we have Matthew Chapters 25 and 25. In the book of Revelation, John got to see the whole thing happen while it was happening. We don't understand that because we haven't gotten there yet. We live in a time/space factor, and everything goes according to the clock and calendar for us. But it is not that way for God, and John got caught up in spirit to see the whole thing happen while it was taking place. We haven't been there yet. One thing is for certain, it will happen exactly how John described it because he literally witnessed it happening while it happened.

I think we have to be careful about how we approach end-time events. When dealing with end-time prophecy, we have to always keep in mind that all prophecies concerning the last days are based upon Daniel 9:24-27, which presents the 70th week of Daniel. Plus, all end-time prophecies are centered on the Jewish people. If a prophecy is ever presented as centered on the United States of America, you know it is going to be off.

The 70th week of Daniel is a 7 year period, which will be the 7 year Tribulation Period. Right now, we are living in what is called the time of the Gentiles. The time of the Gentiles began on April 6th, 32 A.D. when Christ died and will end when Christ comes for His church. That will be the rapture. And from that point, there will be a 7 year period of tribulation before Christ returns at His second coming. And by the way, we come back with Him! What a blessed day that will be! So by now, you've probably figured out that I am a Pre-Tribber. I firmly believe in a Pre-Tribulation rapture. I know there are different views on when the rapture will take place (Pre/Mid/Post), but I stand pretty firm on my position of a Pre-Tribulation rapture.
