(verses 18-19. The sun (the greater light) and moon (the lesser light) and stars were not made until day 4 ). From these, presumable, the 24-hour day was created. Ergo, the days prior to day 4 could not have been the fabled 24-hour day, could they? Can someone help me with that?

  • Kekiaye Thomas Mbu on Matthew 6 - 8 years ago
According to the book of Matthew 6, the Lord make it clear to all Christ believer, that is good to pray, is also good to ask from the Lord, but what mater here is the manner in which you pray, and the manner in which you ask.See for example, he said we should not pray while standing, and when asking, we should not repeat it for him fro He knows are need before we ask.

Cont. Frankie, read “Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright. For ye know how that afterward, when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected: for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears.”
    ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭12:16-17‬

“It was said unto her, The elder shall serve the younger. As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.”
    ‭‭Romans‬ ‭9:12-13‬ ‭
“Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright. For ye know how that afterward, when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected: for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it
  • CHARMAINE GREENE on Psalms 91 - 8 years ago
One of my favourite passages to read at bedtime, and just in general. God promises to guide and protect, and I truly believe every word. He protects my every move, whether I am at home or on the the road. Our God is an Awesome God!!
  • Hyacenth on Psalms 42 - 8 years ago
Psalm 42 , 1-11 Oh LORD I love thee and feel I should just come and be with you to escape all my troubles because when I am glad think of YOU go to the house of GOD the (Church) to be filled with joy and happiness and to experience miracles on those sensitive issues of my life. But verses 5/11 creates an impression that the penitent troubles remains unsolved, then comes the sorrow but 5 says WHY..

  • A disciple on Genesis 28 - 8 years ago
Frankie; Many find fault with God choosing one before another to bless; because their view of right and wrong does not include faith and humility and truth in the inward parts towards God. Esau had no heart for the God or the faith of his fathers, but chose instead to be a man of pride among the heathen; and everything he did was with indifference to God and His holy promises. So he was rejected.

Jobly; The Lord is continuing to teach and to expound the Word of the Glad Tidings among the people, and to warn all; keeping nothing back, but giving every spiritual insight and good counsel how we are to prepare our ways to meet God when we come to the day of eternity, that we may be accepted and received into eternal life. When the wicked have no other power against Him they resort threatening.

  • Mild Bill,saved by grace on Psalms 26 - 8 years ago
Not confident in his integrity,David asks to be judged.David listed his judgements and intentions, but a defining difference between him and others,is his trust in the Lord.Seeing the Lord's loving kindness, truth, sacrificial altar and wondrous works, his integrity alone does not save him,so,he begs redemption with mercy,as need we all.God saves us by his integrity, not our own.He loves, but we lack.
  • Godwin Edoho on Psalms 121 - 8 years ago
The chapter is very clear...telling the faithfuls that he, God will never abandon us, and that He will ALWAYS be with us ensuring our feet does not slip that we fall. It is very encouraging. More importantly, God does not lie so this promises is certain and stands for ever.
  • Lowly sheep on Titus 2 - 8 years ago
This verse actually comes to me in a great need to illustrate God's love to someone important to me. It will help him to understand why I try to get him to always do the right thing, no matter what, and even in making mistakes, there can be good that comes of learning from them.
  • Joan Strawder on Psalms 63 - 8 years ago
Psalm is the individual name of each Psalm not Psalms, also Psalms are not chapters but Psalm.

I like this website but I think you should check the terminology used, specifically to the Book of Psalms.
  • Ivan on Matthew 25 - 8 years ago
Unlike the second coming this parable is a example of the mystery of the Rapture. It is the only parable that Jesus did not explain. Virgins represent believers in the bible. Oil represents the Holly Spirit. The only way we can live a life pleasing to God is getting and staying filled with the Holy Spirit. It takes lots of prayer and spending time with the Lord. No shortcuts.
  • SOLANKE, OLUWOLE PETER on Isaiah 40 - 8 years ago
I NEED WORD OF GOD FOR ENCOURAGEMENT TO MOVE IN WAY OF THE LORD
  • Andy on Matthew 18 - 8 years ago
David, the point of the parable is to teach us that we should live with a heart of gratitude. We have been given grace which we did not earn but was given to us and with this heart of gratitude it would be easy to forgive because we understand our own failures and short comings. Forgiveness is a natural outpouring of the Holy Spirit flowing out of us.
  • Jobly on Luke 13 - 8 years ago
Someone to help me on vs 31-32 I don't understand why Jesus used those words. Your help is needed ugently
  • Frankie on Genesis 28 - 8 years ago
I truly can't understand why Jacob is being Blessed by God after deceiving Isaac the way that he did... He literally stole Esau's Blessing! Why does he (Jacob) continue to be Blessed? Even though it was Rebekah's idea to begin with, Jacob knew it was wrong and went along with it anyway. Yet God Blesses Jacob. I just can't wrap my head around that. Am I missing something?
  • Gina on Psalms 91 - 8 years ago
I’m in a land that the people there are worshipping gods. They don’t believe God exists and I’m the only Christian among them.
So they told lies, disgraced me and a whole lot of things against me. But Psalm 91 is getting me through. I believe God works in ways we can’t see and He will never leave us nor forsake us. Faith is the Key to pull the enemies down in Jesus’ name. Amen. I believe in HIM.
  • A disciple on Revelation 14 - 8 years ago
Dear Word; Isaiah 28 describes conditions with many who are really supposed to be God's people, but not all who are once saved will continue faithful unto the end; and the sword of division cuts according to the divisions that men make in their hearts over the Word, and the work of the Spirit to sanctify and transform our minds through the Word. "Whom shall he teach knowledge?" means He looks for.
  • A disciple on 1 Corinthians 7 - 8 years ago
Blessed; I'm not sure how you come up with the idea that my spouse left me; but it isn't true. The points you bring up however are worth talking about. God absolutely has a plan for each of us to know and understand Him through Jesus and His Spirit. Most do not think in these terms, but are greedily hoping and looking for some kind of glory and happiness for self. And YES Many impostors in church.
  • Michael Frye on Titus 1 - 8 years ago
God cannot lie! To lie and to bare false testimony is from the Evil one. God is Truth God is the Light God is Holy. He is the Holy of Holy. Their is no Sin in God, Their is no Darkness only Light which Smothers Darkness. God is Light God is Truth God is all that's Good.
  • Bobb White on John 15 - 8 years ago
As a retired minister, I preached and taught from this book countless times. I have, and still do, tell people if they never read a book from beginning to end, be sure it is this one. It is the only gospel that leans primarily on His love, and how we should strive to love each other. It is more than His teaching us, it is a direct commandment.
