"And the Pharisees came to him, and asked him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife? tempting him." Scrutinizing everyone but themselves, debating and contending about things that are NOTHING to be debated, putting the Lord to the test with their incessant contradiction and hostility; men who take this course are without excuse and are nothing hidden from God! The hypocrite belies himself!
  • Michele on Ephesians 1 - 8 years ago
Paul the apostle was an example of no matter how much sin, our GOD is a forgiving GOD. By the grace of our GOD, we are saved, forgiven, and will live eternally with our FATHER, HIS SON JESUS CHRIST, and THE PRECIOUS HOLY SPIRIT.

  • Ray Jay on Isaiah 53 - 8 years ago
They will argue that Isaiah 53 is discussing the nation of Israel as the suffering servant and not an individual. They will quote other scriptures showing that. However, Isaiah, clearly is speaking of an individual. An entire nation doesn’t have one soul; HE bare THEIR iniquity; no deceit was on HIS mouth - How can an entire nation of Jews have NO deceit? This and more is an individual. JESUS!

I believe Jesus was telling us how to pray , not saying repeat word for word every pray . I do believe we should always start with praising God and always for sure end with in Jesus name I pray . The only way to God is through Jesus so we should .
At ball games and such if I pray along I end with in Jesus name . They started closing by saying in his name we pray . Who’s name ? are they ashamed

There was One who was faithful, but the children of men killed him. The righteous blood is on their filthy hands.

"...There shall no sign be given unto this generation!" What are they then looking for? Mega Churches filled to overflowing with misguided souls with itching ears and adulterous hearts looking for a Spectacle to excite them: this is what has substituted walking in holiness and truth and the way of the cross! While they look feverishly for Sign and Wonders they know not that they aren't even ready!

(cont.) The Life of Jesus, His Teachings, His Calling to all men everywhere to REPENT AND BELIEVE THE GLAD TIDINGS: this is what God is showing to men concerning these last days; but no one has any interest in that! They want instead to believe false prophets and ridiculous fantasies and never be confronted about their sins! Jesus dying on the cross and rising again is the only sign given!
  • A disciple on Mark 8 - 8 years ago
"And he sighed deeply in his spirit, and saith, Why doth this generation seek after a sign? verily I say unto you, There shall no sign be given unto this generation." If it was an unworthy generation when Jesus was here, with all their hatred and hostility and contradiction against Him; what does THIS dried out old rotten tree think that God should care to give any of them a sign? What blindness!

Has no man seen God? Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us. 9Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?

End of Bible in a Year Reading day 36. The property laws are very interesting as well as land usage and ownership. There is a reward to be fair and show mercy with one's wealth.

  • William Timberlake on Daniel 4 - 8 years ago
God took control of The Kings Life from the beginning by putting Daniel in His court. The Chaldeans were the smartest around in that day and spoke Armenian; later on, some of them were Christianized by the disciples and their followers, these believers are very persecuted even to this day.
The King put out a decree that the subjects of His Northern Kingdom would know the Mosiac law.

  • A disciple on Ecclesiastes 7 - 8 years ago
"Be not hasty in thy spirit to be angry: for anger resteth in the bosom of fools." Ecclesiastes 7:9 Why do we get angry? There are many things that can wear us down or catch us at a weak moment when we're weary or distressed. How do we let the furnace burn us all out and melt us, without "spontaneously combusting?" If we go back to the basics in the Sermon On The Mount for example , we do have a guiding principle to work toward but it will cost us everything we ever trusted in ourselves, to really have that wonderful grace living and working in us. We want to be the Blessed poor in spirit, those that mourn, the meek, etc but it is a gradual development through difficult training and many hard lessons to learn and there is a price! I wish more than anything that somehow by His great mercy and grace to really be that man after God's own heart, really and truly in His image and likeness and for ALL OF MY BROTHERS AND SISTERS IN JESUS LIKEWISE.

For many years I had to remind myself about verse #31. God has been faithful. Many times I felt faint and God picked
me up and literally carried me. Those that wait upon the Lord and I did. I had to refrain from the natural and rely upon
the spiritual. I stayed before God night and day. When I felt that I could not endure any more, God took my burden and
stress from my life. Praise God!
  • Darrell on Ecclesiastes 7 - 8 years ago
We need to think before we speak or we will regret what we say. It will make us look foolish and or we will have to apologize.
  • Angelica on Ecclesiastes 7 - 8 years ago
This was right on point, because immortality and immoral desires make us subcom to the flesh, it does make us surround ourselves with the ignorant and unloving, the unbelieving and unjust crimes that are a result of that human choice. We worry about being friends with man instead of being lovers of Christ and the Father, our Lord God. I know i have fallen prey to Satan's traps so many times that I can't count, but God has been there to clean up my mess. I love You Lord God, my Father and by and thru your Son Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. PLEASE make this journey that I am on a fruitful one that is long-lasting experience that benefits me, the ones I love and those that love me, so that I may someday be able once again to be a wise giving tree to your other children in the struggle. In Jesus name I pray. AMEN
  • Servant of God on Matthew 9 - 8 years ago
Jesus heals but only those worthy for he questions those,"believe ye that I am able to do this?" For we see that according to our faith are we healed. "Go and learn what that means. I call not the Righteous to repentance but the sinners!" And we are sinners here on earth without exception. Thankfully we have an advocate in heaven who speaks with the Father, impleeding him for mercy for us. Amen
