  • Mark R on Psalms 27 - 8 years ago
I just like how the psalmist desires a complete relationship with the Father. We can see the brilliance of God's Grace just being a encouragement for the psalmist's suffering of persecution. Victory can be clearly seen in the heart of the psalmist as he speaks about the strength he has attained in the Lord. Oh my friends it's just wonderful having such a great Savior in Christ!

Matthew; Why then the mis-spelling? Canaan should then have been written, Kana-aniy(te) which would mean someone of Kana-an not cana-niy(te), or as in the Greek, Kananiy(te). Thanks for taking up this question with me! The rest of my questions about the unlikelihood of Simon being a stranger, esp. a Canaanite, has to be considered in light of the separateness that every Jew was obliged to observe.
  • A disciple on Psalms 26 - 8 years ago
"But as for me, I will walk in mine integrity: redeem me, and be merciful unto me." Integrity is soundness and wholeness, worked out by virtue and principle and honesty. Integrity is what makes the strength and the value, being proven by trial; just as the light drives away the darkness, and all is then seen clearly; and the heat of the fining pot forces out the worthless, and leaves the precious.
  • Darlene on Acts 3 - 8 years ago
It means in Acts 3:18 That Jesus the son of God was to be beat and killed for all the world sin which we all have because the sin of Adam and Eve in Genisis from the beginning of the world and Jesus took on our sins willingly for us to be able to go to heaven and his prophets were disciples that taught people the word of God to be fullfilled in the world so that Jesus would come back
  • Christ Magnified Glorifying Jesus on Exodus 36 - 8 years ago
End of day 27 Bible in a Year Reading. God is so patient with His people. When we choose not to follow Him; He is there calling us back and ready to give us something to do that allows us to express our obedience and gratitude by use of "talent" or "treasury". These "children" learned their crafts, trades and arts as slaves for pharaoh, but they were fully demonstrated here for God's purpose.
  • Matthew on Matthew 10 - 8 years ago
    **to: A DISCIPLE**
Κανανίτης is the Greek word in question which means Canaanite. No error here. That is all. Blessings and good tidings to all. Please remember this, “once saved always saved" is false doctrine. If that makes your conscience stir and angry then it is probably for good reason. Doctrine of devil will always provoke anger when light shines on it. Be well, be strong, be not deceived.

"And Jesus stood before the governor: and the governor asked him, saying, Art thou the King of the Jews?...For he knew that for envy they had delivered him." Keywords which help us see this picture as it really was; that we have no need of putting flowerful unrealistic notions to the actual people and events, but that we may know the truth as God sees it; that EVERYONE knew but the blind haters!
  • A disciple on Matthew 27 - 8 years ago
"And when he was accused of the chief priests and elders, he answered nothing." Who among us would be able to exercise such self control and hold our peace in such an situation of outrageous cruelty and injustice? In the furnace of affliction would be an understatement! Yet the Lord endured all the insult and humiliation and utter contempt being COMPLETELY INNOCENT, and bore it quietly in faith!
  • Jeff Berry on Matthew 18 - 8 years ago
Can you pay all that you owe to God? Because that is what He expects from you if you do not forgive your fellow believer! Verse 35.
  • Mild Bill,saved by grace on Psalms 27 - 8 years ago
Our God is greater than our circumstances, and has a place for us,where our desire is to seek him,so we may dwell, behold and inquire. While not without troubles in this world,we are fastened to the rock(Lord Jesus),never to be forsaken. We love him, because he first loved us.1John4:19 That's grace.Only believers have true life, and we hear/see God working in them,an example to us to strengthen us here
  • Eric on Matthew 25 - 8 years ago
Nothing much from me but thanks and praise to the Lord. Though I walk amongst the snares and demons pursue all around, I wait on the Lord. If he wills his servant to safety who then can harm me? There is no one else to seek. I ask in Jesus name. Amen
  • Cherie on John 1 - 8 years ago
Jesus is the SON of GOD. He is known as the son of man because of His flesh. He is GOD and a man.
  • Brother Richard on Luke 8 - 8 years ago
Luke 8 is one of those chapters that you will overlook wonderful lessons in if you read it to fast. For example, vs.41
  • Faye benton on Psalms 91 - 8 years ago
The lord is my light and protection
  • Tim on John 5 - 8 years ago
I see the pool in 5:7 as a type of the Old Testament Law, where you have to work to get in. And Jesus healing the man as a picture of the New Testament, saved by grace not our works. And then after he is healed he walks, equals obedience to the Lord. .

  • A disciple on Matthew 26 - 8 years ago
"Then one of the twelve, called Judas Iscariot, went unto the chief priests, and said unto them, What will ye give me, and I will deliver him unto you?" Even if called as One Of The Twelve, the Light continually exposing our nature must cause us to either repent and seek His mercy and healing, or harden us into a selfish traitor. Jesus received Judas as a friend, but Judas forsook that friendship.
  • Mild Bill - 8 years ago
Fruit of the Spirit is not to be confused with works prepared by God for the saved to walk in.By their fruit we shall know them, that is,their character.Even when we were dead in sins, hath(God) quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;),that is,not waiting for us to improve. Not of works, lest any man should boast. As done by men, before men, before God.Faith supersedes works to save.
  • Servant of God on Luke 19 - 8 years ago
Zac. was the chief politician of his day. But he was just, by his own confession and was worthy that Jesus should come into his house. Fast forward and what is the message of the chief politian? Shameful! Yet does the church support him. Jesus would not, I assure you for he knew the heart of man by his words and deeds.this is important as our nation is in jeopardy for the abundance of lies today
  • Max on Matthew 3 - 8 years ago
verse 11; if you are baptized in the Holy Spirit and fire it is a privilege an adventure you have been giving dunamis power to fulfill the life of a disciple victoriously. you understand that you are a son. yet our ability to chose is not taken away
  • Okpekim Ekine on Psalms 91 - 8 years ago
Psalm 91 is a strong tower for protection from all evil.
  • GMBlessed on Psalms 23 - 8 years ago
I know that The Lord is my Shepherd. For 7 1/2 hours during a Posterial Laminectomy Surgery I was in the shadow
of death. God carried me all the way. Didn't know that I was in the World. Like the good Shepherd He took care of
me and guided the Doctors and Medical Staff. Surely "goodness and mercy " follows me each day of my life.
Still recovering , but I am thankful.
  • A disciple on Psalms 91 - 8 years ago
"He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High.." God desires truth in the inward parts; and He who sees in the concealed, in our innermost selves, and fully understands our thoughts and the intents of our hearts; commands us to BE men after His own heart, and to follow His example of the perfect character. This is where we are to dwell, this is our light in a dark world, SAVED BY GRACE!
  • A disciple on Matthew 25 - 8 years ago
"Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps." NO DOUBT but every Christian wants to be loved and received into the kingdom at the last day; Right? All get excited to hear good teaching and expounding of the Word; all want to put that Word into action in their daily lives; Right? But is that really the truth about every Christian? Apparently for many IT IS NOT! How do we get that OIL?
  • A disciple on Matthew 25 - 8 years ago
"And five of them were wise, and five were foolish." Not necessarily half and half, but to show that its entirely up to YOU to either be wise or be stupid! You have come to Jesus in repentance, and believe in Him: AMEN! Now you have a Bible, and try to learn how to understand it and to become a good Christian. EXCELLENT! Ask the Lord for the Baptism of the Holy Spirit and for HIS understanding!
  • A disciple on Matthew 25 - 8 years ago
"And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut." While they were running hither and thither to hear the most popular preachers and teachers and show masters in the church world; the Bridegroom is going to come without them being ready! The Lamp won't work without oil in it and without the Holy Spirit no man is His!
  • A disciple on Matthew 24 - 8 years ago
"But know this, that if the GOODMAN of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up." The Archaic meaning of a Goodman is a Husband or House Manager, a manager of an estate, to till (the soil), to manage or use (resources, finances, etc) thriftily. We are under Charge to Manage Use and Keep His Property Wisely.
