  • Dennis Hauze on Isaiah 61 - 8 years ago
Symbolism and metaphor abounds in Isaiah 61. What then is the spiritual meaning of the "oil of joy" reference in verse 3, and why that metaphor?
  • Elizabeth RS on Joshua 1 - 8 years ago

  • John bosco Mukasa on 1 Samuel 2 - 8 years ago
We should always to fulfill our vows to God as Hannah gave Samuel to God. When you do so, God gives you more, Hannah gave away Samuel and in turn God gave her 3 more sons and 2 daughters. We should always thank, praise and worship God for everything. If the ministers of God deviate from the truth, God will always raise another generation to serve Him (GOD). Once you're faithful God will raise up

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that WHOSOEVER believes should not PERISH but has everlasting LIFE! There is indeed an ACT of RECEIVING, BELIEVING, TRUSTING, his word. In the beginning was the WORD. GOD created LIFE with HIS WORD.
  • Christ Magnified Glorifying Jesus on Exodus 30 - 8 years ago
End of day 25 of Bible in a Year Reading. God wants His people to understand the meaning behind "religious acts". We learn by "doing". There is a thinking process that is involved in each step that brings us closer to the heart of God.
  • John bosco Mukasa on 1 Samuel 1 - 8 years ago
There will always be tensions and quarrels in a polygamous families, therefore polygamy is not Godly. According to Prov 30:16 A barren woman will never be satisfied, although Elkanah tried to give Hannah more than he gave other family members, she wasn't satisfied. Prayers, faith in God, fulfilling one's obligation to God and persistence make one to achieve his/her dream.
  • Christ Magnified Glorifying Jesus on Exodus 28 - 8 years ago
Historically birthstones are said to be tied to the precious stones that are mentioned here. There are 12 stones and 12 months. Many of those that where there "birthstone" may not realize this. It is a point of interest that the world often has no idea of the biblical influences that are woven into lives.
  • Christ Magnified Glorifying Jesus on Exodus 27 - 8 years ago
These chapters are so helpful in understanding the details that God showed His people concerning what is acceptable and pleasing with our Holy God. I like to listen to the audio of this and other chapters as I look at images on the internet of the tabernacle, altar etc... it helps to solidify the information. I can almost imagine them creating these structures and instruments.

  • Vincent F ORourke on Ezekiel 28 - 8 years ago
Verse 12 to end of Chapter is an indictment from God to/against the Evil Priest, Melchiresha, and all those involved in the Priests' efforts to overthrow God's kingdom. The ultimate penalty is he shall be put to death as a man.

  • Quinnie on Luke 22 - 8 years ago
The whole chapter blessed me in a time where I'm just wondering why am I still going through the same thing. But, God who spoke allowing me to see and know I suffer for you.I ask the father to let this cup pass from me but I said (Nevertheless)not my will but let YOUR WILL be done. So the word that stands out to me is we must have a NEVERTHELESS in our spirit.

    Keep the faith..
  • Ronda on Romans 1 - 8 years ago
    Very good comments
  • Ray jay on Luke 14 - 8 years ago
Perhaps Christ is simply referencing sin and hypocrisy in all of us. The 12 apostles see and hate the sin in all of us, including themselves and they know Christ is the TRUTH, LIGHT and LIFE and are willing to follow him even if it means persecution. They are sick and tired of sin even in family. The regular crowd following Christ perhaps doesn’t understand all that; so he’s blunt to them
  • Obbie Beal on Revelation 18 - 8 years ago
9-19 'the great city' or 'babylon the great' received her plagues that day, and the moring after there is death, and mourning, and famine as she she is be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her. All Kings of the earth, merchants, captians of ships, cry, cry, cry, over her/ their partner in sin/ crime because their relationship is forever-over /finished with her. WOW!

"For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be." While the narrative in Gen.6 describes how God saw the world full of apostasy corruption and violence; the people couldn't care less!

"And Esau said, Behold, I am at the point to die: and what profit shall this birthright do to me?..and he sold his birthright unto Jacob..thus Esau despised his birthright." The Scriptures declare clearly what kind of man Esau was; yet most find fault with Jacob for his scheming, but hardly say a peep about Esau the heathen hater of the LORD. God knew what kind both men were, and chose Jacob.
