I think what Moses father-in-law ask him to do as far as judging the people is sort of what our court system is today. Start in lower courts and can go all the way to Supreme Court.

Thank You Father For Being Our PROVIDER AND A AWESOME PROTECTOR
  • Charles on Joshua 6 - 8 years ago
    Charles,
My thoughts of chapter 6 is the first lesson of the importance of corporate prayer. God instructed that everyone participate, the priest to blow the ram's horns ,armed men and the tribes themselves to shout simultaneously. This signifying one accord, all having faith in God for the same result. Which applies to the church to pray in agreement for God's deliverance of strong holds
  • Gennis Parry on Revelation 20 - 8 years ago
I believe that Jesus is coming to judge the whole world , He will pay everyone according as their work shall be. He knows who are His.
  • Granny on John 2 - 8 years ago
Sometimes you can be so heavenly pious, that you're no earthly good. Mary once pondered those things in her heart; now she's possibly wanting to publish the diety of Christ, beautiful. Notice in 3:9 It was the ruler who didn't know where it (the miracle) came from, yet the servants that drew the water knew. It is not the high minded that can see or hear God, but the obedient servant. ITimothy 6:4
  • To Jeanie who went to the beach. on Job 2 - 8 years ago
Jeanie your testimony is so special to me. You are really one of God's children. You knew who to blame for your suffering. Though God allowed this to happen you passed the test with flying colors.

"Blessed is the people that know the joyful sound: they shall walk, O LORD, in the light of thy countenance." Psalms 89:15 THE JOY OF THE LORD IS OUR STRENGTH! Victory! Victory! Victory! Hallelujah! Salvation and honor and glory belongs to the LORD our God! A happy joyful Christian is a Christian walking in obedience and victory and the LORD has answered us by the joy of our heart! A sad long face, moping around in defeat and failure, a critical and mean spirit AGAINST YOUR OWN BROTHERS AND SISTERS! That is NOT the "Joyful Sound:" but the mark of the condemned and disobedient. Be right with God and your Brethren in the Lord, and you will have the Joy of the LORD which will be seen by all, to Jesus' glory!
  • Mike on Daniel 3 - 8 years ago
The fourth man was The Angel of the Lord. The New American Bible makes this clear, but you can't tell from the KJV because a large section has been edited out.
  • A disciple on Psalms 15 - 8 years ago
Dear Bill; Amen to all you wrote. It is gratitude that kisses Jesus' feet and washes them with its tears and wipes them with the hairs of its head! He that loves much is the one forgiven much. By our fruits we are known! And the axe is laid to the root of the tree: every tree that produces NOT good fruit IS CUT DOWN AND THROWN INTO THE FIRE! The completed word and work of grace is in the action!
  • A disciple on Proverbs 15 - 8 years ago
Steve M; It is not a wicked heart which has departed from the LORD, who expounds the Scriptures and the Doctrine of God with wisdom of the Spirit teaching! If I speak not according to the Word, show it! But if I do teach what the Teacher has taught me so that I should "feed His lambs and feed His sheep; why does that offend you? Judge righteous judgment and put away envyings and strifes!
  • A disciple on Proverbs 15 - 8 years ago
Steve M; "These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so." What things? The words that the Apostles were proclaiming and teaching in the Name of JESUS CHRIST; which they had not up to then heard nor understood! Except we receive them as a little child we cannot be saved!
  • BRENDA on Revelation 12 - 8 years ago
Satan and his fallen angels were cast out somewhere between 12 15 17 thru 1 13 18, according to the Heavenly Sigsn.
  • A disciple on Acts 3 - 8 years ago
Hi Tina; "But those things, which God before had shewed by the mouth of all his prophets, that Christ should suffer, he hath so fulfilled." Evil men can have no power to do anything they imagine except God gives it to them. God knows and understands all things, and moves them for His purposes. In the story of Joseph, he told his brothers, "ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good.."
  • Kizzy on Psalms 27 - 8 years ago
I am so thankful for this chapter in Psalm. I memorized it last year and have been able to use it to have courage as God has led my husband to become the Pastor of a small struggling church. It is also helping me through an illness my daughter has as well as a tumor that I have that is spiking my blood pressure up in sleep. Many things in this life are uncertain but the strength of God will endure
  • Tina on Acts 3 - 8 years ago
I do not understand Acts chapter 3 verse 18 can someone please explain the verse to me. Thank you Tina
  • Patrick on Psalms 127 - 8 years ago
We should totally submit our lives to God, let his mercy and grace continue work in our lives as God promised it will.

We should not fret when we know for certain, our God is for us and not against us!
  • Servant of God on Luke 13 - 8 years ago
Let's just say it: Salvation is not assured or even manifest on earth. It's not and it is plainly obvious. The earth is the proving ground and humans must show their faith in all manner of circumstance. Thus the parables in 13. We all shall likewise parish if we don't repent, take up the cross, love God more than our Mothers and friends. That is what is being taught the 3 years Yeshua walked
  • Gennis Parry on Revelation 20 - 8 years ago

  • ENCOURAGER on Genesis 3 - 8 years ago
THE DEATH HERE WAS NOT AN IMMEDIATE PHYSCIAL DEATH BUT A SPIRITUAL DEATH. THEY WERE INNOCENT UNTIL THE TOXIC CONVERSATION WITH THE DEVIL TOOK PLACE. THERE WAS NO DEATH UNTIL AFTER THE SIN OF DISOBEDIENCE. IT DID NOT SAY THAT THEY WOULD DIE IMMEDIATELY. SIN IS DEATH WITHIN US. SIN IS THE REASON THAT WE NEEDED A SAVIOR. THE DEVIL WAS CURSED AFTER THE SIN AND SO WAS ADAM AND EVE.
  • Mild Bill on Psalms 15 - 8 years ago
everyone else reading this,do you possess everlasting life now?Have all your sins been paid for?Is there anything to keep you from entering heaven? If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.John8:36 Our service to God is out of gratitude, with nothing to merit salvation.Heirs by grace of God only.
  • JOSEPH KABA on Mark 11 - 8 years ago
Mark 11:22 and Jesus said have faith in God.
No matter how difficult you are in at moment have faith in God you can have your heart desire. Those negative things will turn to positive. Like Mark 11:24 pray and believe it and it shall come pass
  • W. Macleod on Psalms 91 - 8 years ago
The Lord is ever nigh to him that be of broken Spirit
To them he safety doth afford, that are in heart contrite Psalm 34 v 18
  • A disciple on Matthew 20 - 8 years ago
"Is it not lawful for me to do what I will with mine own? Is thine eye evil, because I am good? So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called, but few chosen." When the Lord goes out into the mountains and the wilderness, seeking His lost sheep; when He finds it, He puts it on His shoulders and brings it home rejoicing. Why would some of the ninety nine grumble and murmur?
  • A disciple - 8 years ago
"...I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life." (cont.) The Lord Jesus Himself said, Are you yet without understanding? Do you not remember...? How is it that you do not understand? Woe to you Pharisees, hypocrites...who have taken away the key of knowledge; you don't go in yourselves, and they that do, you hinder!" Psalm 119:73
  • A disciple on John 8 - 8 years ago
"...I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life." Jesus said that His Elect, in whom He has wrought grace and truth and given of His Spirit, SHALL NOT WALK IN DARKNESS, BUT SHALL HAVE THE LIGHT OF LIFE! How then is it a stumblingblock to some that we should walk in holiness and truth and understand the Scriptures and our time here?
  • A disciple on 1 Corinthians 2 - 8 years ago
"Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts." Isaiah 28:9-11 WHO HAS KNOWN THE MIND OF THE LORD? They that turn to the Lord with with a true heart, so that the covering of darkness cast over their heads is removed! Those who receive the Kingdom of God as a little child! Those who love out of a pure heart, and a good conscience, and faith without hypocrisy! Ask and you SHALL receive! Believe and obey, and God will make you the man or woman He intends you to be, "After His own heart!" How shall anyone even be able to learn knowledge unless they have ability to understand? The Lord has many things to say to us, but He has to wait till we are able to bear it. This requires RECEIVING HIS WORD in a good and honest heart, grown up and matured through trial and proving faithful exercising one's self unto piety and walking in Truth, in OBEDIENCE to the Spirit of Christ.
  • A disciple on Matthew 19 - 8 years ago
"..Who then can be saved? But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible." It is impossible for men who trust in anything of themselves; who they are, what they are, or in their wealth to be saved. But NOTHING is impossible with God! All hindrances and obstacles and misconceptions can be overcome, and men can be saved when God does it!
  • Ariel Nicholson on Luke 21 - 8 years ago
