I agree with you C, Jacob himself is a product of GODs loving kindness, so knew the importance of forgiveness and doing things right, that is why he told Hamor and his father what to do to make things right. GOD has not killed us for the numerous sins we have committed, HE always gives us the opportunity to do things right. vengeance is the not a solution when one is offended. cos is the LORDs.

It is very important we understand that what ever we do on this earth we will be held accountable for it one day. Rebekah and Jacob deceived Isaac and took Esau's blessing, though Jacob was running away from his brothers hunger, he still found himself in his uncle Laban's trouble. GOD will listen to our prayers and forgive but we will still go through the heat of the sin committed.

I think I should correct something from my last post. In Genesis 4:25-26 was mentioned when "men began to call on the Name of the LORD;" or more accurately, "When men began to call themselves by the Name of the LORD." As the birth of Seth was pronounced by his parents as being to replace Abel whom Cain murdered; and so the new beginning of the sacred line of sons of God. Cain chose to be heathen.

I hope its for comfort and encouragement! What is the gist of my doctrine? By what Spirit do I frame my thoughts and try to bring out the sense and the meaning of the Scriptures? What does the Word mean to you? How do you read it?

Nathaniel Foster; where do you find Daniel having 14 chapters? I've seen in the German Martin Luther Bible that Malachi has 3 chapters instead of 4; but nothing was omitted. You may want to check to see if the entire Text is still there in Daniel, or if there's anything changed. The divisions of chapters and verses were not part of the Original Text anyway; but were added later for easy reference.

Dear Bob; I love the Book of 'The Preacher' or, 'The Summoner.' Some Bible expositors say that Ecclesiastes was a Book about Solomon's Non-Spirit filled attempt to figure out life. But what it really is, is a collection of examples used to call people to rise above this present existence, and all its vanity and vexation of spirit. The very Title of the Book implies Preaching and Calling Assembly.

"For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things." 1 John 3:20 The Lord wants us to walk in love, with a good conscience and a pure heart and faith without hypocrisy. Sin and temptation to sin especially, is deceitful. In the innermost parts of our soul we are confronted with a dreadful crisis every time we are tempted to sin. Do what's right according to God's holy and wise commandment or, pretend like we don't hear, harden the heart, burn the conscience, and dare to do what your flesh is screaming for. You can turn a deaf ear and give Jesus the back and deceive yourself but you will never deceive God! The wicked shall fall by his own wickedness but the integrity of the upright shall preserve him. This whole chapter is about DOING and WALKING, and not just empty talking about being a Christian! When we are of the Truth we will hear Jesus' Voice and that means, as in, being watchful and attentive to obey His Voice and DO whatever He says! If anyone thinks that faith and talk alone without any obligation to DO is enough for us actually BEING saved he better look again!

"Behold, I will bring again the shadow of the degrees, which is gone down in the sun dial of Ahaz, ten degrees backward. So the sun returned ten degrees, by which degrees it was gone down." Which is easier, or which is impossible for God to do? to stop the clocks or turn back the entire ordinances of the stars and the heavens, or roll them back like a scroll at His Coming and the Day of the LORD?

Jesus says he sits at the right hand of God. It says God will live amongst men and women in revelation after 1000 years of peace and Satan is finally fired We cannot imagine God's Holy Ghost omnipotent creator because we are not God. To God give the glory.. Money is not God.. God doesn't need money.. Satan said he could be more powerful than God and created money.. Murdering millions

Our mistakes and faults can constantly condemn us but if we are truly repentant and seek God s forgiveness we can be confident in his forgiveness.

The Lord has made it so easy for us to praise Him. And it does not matter where He is at when we get ready to praise him.

With regard for the practicality of the Apostles' statement, That we not bring the Gentile Believers under bondage to be circumcised and follow the ordinances of Moses; IT DOES NOT somehow preclude the good use of the Law as a teacher of love for God and men.

God who knows the hearts has received us and purified our hearts by faith, giving us the Holy Ghost. "Now therefore why tempt ye God, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?" The Holy Spirit is given to them that obey Him: does this one sentence then mean that we are not obliged to keep the commandments of God? What is the context?

What does it mean, Salvation, and why should one sweat it? Some think it's easy as accepting Jesus in your heart. Would that it was as easy as holding hands in a circle and feigning ecstasy! But it is about your human experience on earth, altogether. It is about deriving from the Word what God intends. And changing dramatically, resisting sin, as God, the Father has taught since Adam and Eve.

I ve always been fascinated by this verse. He was surely talking about these days.

God is our creator, He knows and controls all things. We should pray to God thru Jesus who is our intercessor. Prayer to others are useless as they have only power given by God who has all power.

Josiah was committed to obeying God as we should be committed to serving God and doing the right thing. We should also remember to consult God in all things and not lean to our own understanding. Even when we are trying to help others we should consult God first. God has a master plan including our destiny. God told Josiah he would not execute punishment during his life. Always consult God.

I have gained much wisdom and understanding from this wonderful book called Ecclesiastes. The heart of man seeks all that is vanity in this world. We can not understand unless we give up our lives to Jesus Christ. We become new creations in Christ, seeking seeking An Eternal perspective instead of a vain and temporal perspective. Holy Spirit feed us the Bread of Life each new day!

I am so confused as to why Daniel stopped at Chapter 12 in the King James Version and in a sense I know that there are 14 chapters of Daniel. What happen to the last 2 chapters and why are they not included in the KJV Bible. You know for a fact too that there are more than 12 Chapters in the Old Testament Book of Daniel.....please help me with this and explain. send me an email explanation.

K Patrick Gibson; In Revelation it is described as the dragon dragging 1/3 of his angels with him, when he was cast out of heaven. Jesus said that He saw Satan like lightning fall from heaven. In Isaiah 14 we are shown what his perversion and sin was in lusting after God's throne and glory. Genesis 6 is NOT about demons but apostate men with whom the Spirit strove against their lusts of the flesh.
