The lord has always been good to me. I may have had some setback, had to cry many times ,but I will bless the lord at all times holding on to dynamic faith knowing that he is an rewarder of those who dilengently seek him. That those who come to him in secret ,will be rewarded openly. Amen

Peter; Jehoshaphat's story shines light on a part of certain weak character tendencies, and makes me grieved about how easily I fail in similar ways. Why did he do all that? And why did he never seem to learn, that the enemies of the Lord are not "as his people!" His lack of good judgment caused terrible disaster for generations after him; which almost put out the Light of the house of David.

Jeremiah 45 (cont.); We are the children of Abraham by faith in Jesus Christ; and the life of a pilgrim through this life is how we must be content to be. The LORD comes to us as friends, and talks to us about our blessed future happiness according to all He has promised us; and He shows us things He is about to do because of His judgments upon the ungodly in their pride casting off all restraint.

"The LORD saith thus; Behold, that which I have built will I break down, and that which I have planted I will pluck up, even this whole land; and seekest thou great things for thyself? seek them not: for, behold, I will bring evil upon all flesh, saith the LORD: but thy life will I give unto thee for a prey in all places whither thou goest." The LORD wants us to be without care for the times.

"Thou didst say, Woe is me now! for the LORD hath added grief to my sorrow; I fainted in my sighing, and I find no rest." It is natural to desire the necessary comforts of life; good health, safety, peace, quiet and happiness in one's family and at work, etc. But instead we are seeing ourselves more and more closed in on every side with threats and danger, crime and lawlessness, and no judgment.
  • Peter A. Okebukola on Romans 4 - 9 years ago
The importance of faith for justification is underlined in this chapter. Abraham's faith is counted for righteousness. We should seek the cleansing of our sins from the precious Blood of Christ and have undying faith in God to be "counted for righteousness" We should also note that what God has promised in our lives, he is able also to perform.

Ahab (not Jehoshaphat) met his Waterloo in Ramothgilead. He did not believe in God's Word. We must always believe in the Words of God and do as He directs to avoid trouble.

  • Nola Brown on Psalms 3 - 9 years ago
Psalm 3 show me that David was a real person with real enemy, problem, and fears. Nevertheless through years of experiences with God's unwavering love, protection, and faithfulness David's resolve remained steadfast in-spite of his initial responses. This is also letting us know that like David, we all will experience struggles of every kind in our life time, but God is faithful and never change.

Christine, when we begin our journey with the Lord we turn to ask many questions, but that is okay because we want to know all about God at a go which is not possible by no means. However as we continue steadily searching Him through scripture God reveals Himself and we get most of our questions answered by the Word of God and we become satisfied and friends of God and not angry with God.

When we think of people going wrong we pray any day for God to help, help us to be strong.
  • Osaze on Psalms 34 - 9 years ago
In the scripture psalms 34:4 I sought the Lord and he delivered me from my fear. so in anything in life all any challenges you have to seek god first so that you can be wrong and fearful because without him you can overcome we can overcome anything god is good and faithful and I pray to seek is wisdom and understanding and also is power in my life so that I can serve him. Prayer before I sleep O Lord as i about to sleep guard me from the evil once as you guard Daniel over is enemies and wake up with your blessings amen.

Mark 11:23 "For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith." The reason for the Lord saying this is for our faith in Him to be genuine; not because He scrutinizes, but proves us by Truth.
  • Cephas on Psalms 34 - 9 years ago
I will praise thy name continually, and will sing praises with thanksgiving and so my prayer was heard: For thou savedst me from destruction, and deliveredst me from the evil time: therefore will I give thanks, and praise thee, and bless they name, O Lord. Sing praises to God, sing praises: sing praises unto our King, sing praises.

  • A disciple on Psalms 8 - 9 years ago
"Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger." Babes in malice, but men in understanding! Prudent as serpents, but innocent and harmless as doves! Except we humble ourselves; (not just a single action when we remember, but a Spirit-trained and real natural tendency); and become as little children..
  • A disciple on Psalms 7 - 9 years ago
"God judges the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked every day. If he turn not, he will whet (sharpen, incite, encourage) his sword; he has bent his bow, and made it ready." While we expect men to do what's right, how much more should we count on God; (who sees all things in their innermost parts, and nothing is hidden from Him, and He cannot be deceived); to know how to finish all things?
  • A disciple on Psalms 7 - 9 years ago
"Oh let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end; but establish the just: for the righteous God trieth the hearts and reins." The inward impulses; the affections and passions; the whole moral constitution of man; the general emotional center; this is where we are proven to be of the truth, and how we walk with a perfect heart before God our Saviour. We learn from Jesus how to control thoughts.
  • A disciple on Romans 6 - 9 years ago
"Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?" Why did we turn to Jesus for mercy and forgiveness and a chance at a new life starting over with Him? Because we were lost and guilty in sins and uncleanness; and He died on the cross for our sins; and if we didn't repent and really amend our ways; we would surely die unfit for the presence of God!
