Elijah, I meant John 10:34,35,36. Also, Psalms 82:6,7 same subject about men which Jesus used to make a greater revelation about himself. John 1:17 says, "For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.St. Paul said in Gal.2:20 "I am crucified with Christ:nevertheless I live yet not I but Christ live in me and the life that I now live In the flesh I live by faith in the...

This shows that it is not enough to read the Word of God, we must also keep it by applying what we learn in our lives.

Verses 21-24: God was concerned with their motive and not so much with their sacrifice. If we offer sacrifices to Jehovah God without the right motive or attitude, they will not be acceptable to him and he will not be pleased with them.

Verse 5: Even though David was dealing with some very distressing circumstances, in verse 5 he went to sleep and left matter in God's hands. We must trust in God and take things one day at a time.

Verse 1: David was busy fighting the Syrians and while this was taking place the Edomites decided they would attack. David felt that God had left him. We can feel the same way when we face multiple problems that seem to overwhelm us. This account can help us to see that Jehovah God never leaves his loyal servants even when they face trials.

Like the Apostle in Revelation falling to his face cannot absorb God and Jesus' countenance we too can taste of his power. His Word lives, penetrating mortal souls, to continue our purification unto death. Death's sting in Hell no longer resides. Celebrate our future resurrection to Heaven where angels sing a cascade of music continually, that no person has heard. Our time is short to tell others.

  • Nate on Psalms 23 - 9 years ago
This 23rd Psalm is avery important , however much is missed if I don't pause after the first verse. The Lord is My Shepherd, I shall not want.. If I am truly saying this then I realize that shepherds herd sheep, they provide for sheep .. Truly commiting to this verse, I realize I am sheep, my complete trust is in the Good Shepherd. This Christ said is like the Kingdom of God.

In short, the purpose of this passage is for encouragement. The woman represents the group of believers; the dragon represents the pagan empire during Constantine's Christian conversion. This dragon is very same 4th beast in Daniel. Revelations describes Daniel's fourth beast in various phases until it develops into the Holy Roman Empire. This is God contrasting his kingdom to man's kingdom.

Elijah, John 1:17 says, "The law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ". In response to the scripture you referred to in Isa. 8:20. St. Paul said in Gal. 2:20 "I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live yet not I but Christ liveth in me and the life I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God who loved me and gave himself for me". God bless!

Elijah, those scriptures are John 10:34,35, 36.
  • Dewey J on Revelation 3 - 9 years ago
Elijah, good point this is not clear in many scriptures so let's start with what Jesus said to the religious rulers in his generation. In. 10:34, 35, 36. If he (God) called them gods; unto whom the word of God came , (men) and the scripture cannot be broken; Say ye of him, whom the father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, thou blasphemes;because I said, I am the Son of God.See Psalms 82:6

It is not meant to be an insult: it just states a fact. To a Disciple. When I ask someone: how much is 1 1 1? and tells me he doesn t know, I say he she is ignorant or uneducated. Then, if I tell him that 1 1 1 3 and he says: I don t believe it, I say he is an non-believer. But: if he tries to explain to me that 1 1 1 1 I say he she has a mental challenge.
  • Brother Daniel FC on Galatians 3 - 9 years ago
Say Brian, I think you re confusing UNITY with MULTIPLE PERSONALITY: God the Father, Jesus His only begotten Son and the Holy Spirit can think and act as ONE because of their perfect mind but none of them suffer of multiple personality disorder, as you maintain. Read John 17, the most beautiful prayer in the Bible: Is Jesus praying to Himself?

  • Jeff Berry on Genesis 1 - 9 years ago
Creation began in Genesis 1:1 and ended in Genesis 2:2. EVERYTHING we believe is determined by our interpretation of these verses! Only a literal interpretation gives us a standard (an anchor) for everything else we believe. If man's science seems to contridic God's Word, man's science is simply wrong.
