Doctrine is something that is taught.Principle knowledge. The Gospel of Christ is doctrine. Ephesians 4:14"That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men and cunning craftiness where by they lie in wait to deceive." Romans 16:17,6:7, 1Cor.14:6,26, Isaiah 28"9.In the context of these verse, doctrine is the counsel of God

  • Dadz dompol jr on Psalms 23 - 9 years ago
Psalm 23 mentioned three things. They are the green pasture, quiet waters and soul restoration. It started with strong words like; 'i shall not want', and ended with high hopes; surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of life. our Lord Shepherd indeed promised ideal pasture and plenty of water. He even restores our soul with righteousness, comfort and joy in the midst of our foes .
  • Lindy on Deuteronomy 10 - 9 years ago
Vs 18 and 19 are truly compelling. God calls the Israelites to remember that they were strangers in Egypt. God admonishes us to love strangers as he does. He wants us to assist by giving them food and raiment.

Cheryl Dawn 1Timothy 2:14 "And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression." Genesis 3:17 He said to Adam,"because you have hearkened to the voice of the woman and ate of the tree,I commanded you not to eat".God cursed Eve because she allowed herself to be deceived, she followed Satan's deception instead of God's command. I hope scripture clears it up for you.
  • Cheryl Dawn on Genesis 9 - 9 years ago
Ham should have not told his brothers about his fathers nakedness, but just covered him and kept it to himself. He dishonored his father in his words and actions to God I guess and so was dishonored. It is always good not to gossip. Honoring our parents is important. Not just fathers, but mothers also.
  • Cheryl Dawn - 9 years ago
It also means that it was not cruel to the animals to be used for God's good purposes for such a sacrifice.
  • Cheryl Dawn on Genesis 8 - 9 years ago
God was pleased with Noah's sacrifice. He knew what it meant. For all who believe God came in the flesh as Jesus the Messiah to shed His blood for the forgiveness of sins and continued life for eternity it is also God's will, according to the Holy Bible. God was pleased to do it for man, male and female He made that means. Which means God wanted it, according to the Holy Bible.
  • Cheryl Dawn on Genesis 8 - 9 years ago
Noah humbled himself to shed the animals blood as an offering to the Lord, as without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sin according to the Holy Bible. This was done to ask for forgiveness for Noahs family,if need be continued life for them.Later in the New Testament God come as Jesus His blood shed was for eternal forgiveness and eternal life, according to the Holy Bible.
  • Cheryl Dawn on Genesis 7 - 9 years ago
The Holy Bible used to say only two of each creature came to Noah to put on the ark,not seven. Publishers changes?Anyway, what do you think Noah went through to build the ark, in persecution for obeying God, since it had never rained on the Earth before the flood, according to the Holy Bible. The land was watered from beneath before that according to it. I doubt it was easy for his family. Courage
  • Cheryl Dawn on Genesis 6 - 9 years ago
The creatures came in twos to Noah as babies or in eggs I figure to fit on the ark. It grieved God that men took any women they chose and had no regard for God and His women. He considered the men wicked who did such and the violent ones. So much so that He was sorry He made man, as in male and female. He saved Noah as he was right with God. He obeyed God, so for him,his familysurvived Gods wrath.
  • Cheryl Dawn on Genesis 5 - 9 years ago
Lamech disobeyed God in having more than one wife. The 2 shall become one flesh is not 3. Nor is it loving God, the women or Lameh. If God is Love and we are to imitate Him as dearly loved children as the Holy Bible says, 1=1! Perhaps Lamech repented of it afterwards and God allowed in His mercy Lamech to have Noah as his child because he repented or because he had a good wife and did it for her.

Hello Irene; Haven't heard from you for a while; how are you doing? I hope you're well and in good health. I just happened to be in this Chapter this morning, and just now saw that you wrote me back about two months ago. Sorry for the lapse. Yes, continuing about the destruction of the Temple; Josephus has quite a remarkable account of the events, as he was actually there! A recommended reading:)
  • Cheryl Dawn on Genesis 4 - 9 years ago
According to the Holy Bible, if any sheds mans blood, they shall have their blood shed. Thankfully I am not one of those ever. So for God to allow Cain to have a mark on him so that others will not kill Cain is against what the Holy Bible later says as I wrote about shedding mans blood. Man as in male and female He made them. Would God go against Himself?Did someone else make Cain kill?If so who?

".. that you remember the day when you came forth out of the land of Egypt all the days of your life." It is in order to humble us indeed and in truth, that we should never forget the day we were saved from our sins. It is NOT for us to become a celebrity on the Church circuits, "giving our testimony;" but so our heart doesn't get puffed up against our brethren. Our Testimony is JESUS our Saviour!

Thank you, Lu2677; Yes, I have written again on this to Peter, and I do also remember all the things Nathan said to David from God. David's life after was very different from before he sinned; and as God told him, there were very terrible consequences for his actions. Without starting a big defense, I was just thinking of the responsibility of the actual individuals (his sons) for their own sins.

Cheryl Dawn; We can try to analyze what happened, and find some reason for the breakdown and sin; (something I do agree is extremely needful for us when we are examining our own ways, and that of the world around us); but I think the facts are simply, that the devil beguiled her, and she did eat, and gave also to her husband. It was the devil's fault, the devil's slanders and lies and perversion!

This scripture came in my email at the same time I was thinking of registering for an online course. I feel like God is telling me to go for it. I want to do something to help out my family. I have faith in our Lord to get me through it and with God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit by my side, I know I can do it!
  • John B. on Matthew 14 - 9 years ago
Poor John, one shouldn't redress kings. Especially over their love affairs. But God will judge the kings of this earth, for they are but men and in God's eyes lower than the mendicant begging for bread for hunger. Jesus was in the Glory of the Father as he prayed alone atop of the mountain. He beckons Peter, "come" and saves him as he falters. Her daughter dances seductively before the Kng

I remember, as a child, sitting in my bedroom and crying because I was constantly being bullied by classmates, teaching staff, and family alike because I had a skin condition that I could not help having. I was praying to God with my hand stretched out to Him. I know He heard me, and it gives comfort : . Thank you God, I love you
  • Lu2677 on Matthew 11 - 9 years ago
You said, "who listens anyway?" Matthew 11:5 "He that has ears to hear, let him hear." You said, "takes too much time, stressful" v.28 "Come unto me, all you that labour (work) and are heavy laden,(weary, tired, overwhelmed, burdened) and I will give you rest. Also, v.29 and 30. If you cannot find inspiration, excitement, hope for the lost, to work for the Lord, "Rest" is in the Sabbath.

This is my favorite chapter in the Bible. I am living proof that if you have an intimate, friendship relationship with the Lord it will lead into sweet communion; that is never ending and you will have divine intervention of safety from all your enemies. The lord is the love of my heart.

I love and is reading this psalms every morning because this is my protection from the wicked. My partner hit my daughter and I got him arrested instead of taking the matter into my hands like telling her dad or my brother.... no way so I decided to hand it to God and keep praying for justice. God sent a peace upon me that night I know my god is real thank you Jesus

Insight777; Jesus NEVER denied being of the seed of David according to the flesh, and He did not come to abolish the Law, but to completely fulfill it. Read Isaiah 8:20.
