Our God is awesome. The story of David and Goliath reminds us of the power of God over ALL forces. After all, He is the Creator of the universe (multiverse) and everything is under His control. To draw from this immeasurable source of power, we must love and obey Him. We must stay at the centre of His will all the time and victory over the Goliaths in our lives, including sin, will be assured.

--- Ye were not redeemed with corruptible things as silver and gold --- but with the Precious Blood of Christ as of a Lamb without blemish and without spot. 1Peter 1:18-19 /--- He was led as a Sheep to the slaughter and like a Lamb dumb before His shearer--- Acts 8:32. / Thank you for being on here,it helps us believers to be stronger and more in His Word. Whosoever: Revelation 20:15. Forever.

Hi Irene; What the daughters of Zelophehad were saying to Moses, was that their father was not a part of the wicked rebellion of Dathan, Abiram, and Korah; (which was as it were, a high-water-mark of the intense envy, hostility and unbelief generally in the whole Nation of Israel); and that "he died in his own sins," I take to mean, generally, as we all have sinned. Does that help?

April: We are in The Tribulation. It started a few Thousand yrs back. In The World ye shall have Tribulation: But be of good cheer; I have overcome The World. John 16:33/--- That we must through much Tribulation Enter into The Kingdom of God. Acts 14:22. I never carry a Bible. I just talk to whoever listens. They never ask to see a Bible. Always some in my car. Some are so glad I talked to Them.

Once saved, not always saved! And even greatest gifts and calling of God on a man, does not guarantee a lifetime of doing God's will, or entrance into the kingdom of God. Whatever Balaam had at one time, he evidently thought better to have the gifts and favor of the heathen, than the blessings of God's people. Even though he once spoke good from God for Israel, he after connived to make them sin.

Hi Lu2677; but you already know the answer to that: the Lord commands us to be of the same mind, and to all speak the same thing; on Spirit, one Lord, one Father, one faith, one baptism, etc. There as many reasons as there are divisions, but they are all disapproved by God; just as He has given us His one Word. As there's only one true way of being converted and saved; there can only be one way!

Peter; from the examples used by the Lord here; who were the ones remaining? not the wicked, but the saved! Only Noah, and they that were with him in the ark were left after the cataclysm. Of all those who lived in the cities of the plain, on the south shore of what is now the Dead Sea; only Lot and his family escaped the overthrow of fire and burning sulfur. Read Matthew 13; the evil are removed.

This is an open invitation to everyone on this site, who believes they have a strong knowledge of the Bible: Where is it written, that we are to only accept Jesus as our personal Saviour, and ask Him to come into our lives? I say that this a false teaching, not based on the Glad Tidings preached by Jesus, the prophets or apostles; but one made up by modern impostors in the churches. Please answer!

When we take on His NAME - He becomes our 'kinsman' ...........
  • Irene123 on Ruth 1 - 9 years ago
There is another 'back' story to "Ruth'. Had Elimelech stayed for 10 yrs. in Bethlehem, they would have been alright. But, God was moving the 'pieces' of Jesus birth into place. Everything that happens, God is there. God knows what each of us will do in a certain situation - and His will will be done. Nor can we say what God's plan 'b' would have been; with God - there is no 'plan B'. 'A' works!!
  • Irene123 on Ruth 2 - 9 years ago
CORN, cont.; From Bible Study Tools - corn is a general term applied in the Bible to all edible seeds, grain. In the middle east In Jesus day and before, they did not know of the 'corn' of the W, hemisphere as we know it.
  • Irene123 on Ruth 2 - 9 years ago
Biblical 'corn' was not just - wheat. From David W. Daniels (Bible Versions); "The KJV translators made no mistake 102 times in their proper translation 'corn'. It is the New World citizens who have mistakenly applied our word 'maiz' to the biblical 'corn'.

I believe that these situations where things go good and they forgot the LORD as Moses and Jacob spoke of, these people did they forgot the LORD when all was going well, thanking GOD is even for 5$ that comes free into thy hands or maybe you needed gas and you got enough money and a snack,bc you are hungry,or a person who is there when you need help with something,we get blessings in many diff ways
  • Evangelist Evelyn Esike on Acts 10 - 9 years ago

Although we shouldn't worship objects as though that's what connects us to GOD he did warn that if these HOLY objects be touch that death be upon them in previous chapters, the LEVITIES carried z TABERNACLE and set it up,it was the inheratence of Aarons family and he and his son after had to cover it and do other things in order to do it appropriately, and these people did not know of these things..

April: To promise God---, they're already in Sin. God told us to ask: Be careful for nothing but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your request be known unto God. Philippians 4:6/ this is the confidence that we have in him that if we ask anything according to his will,he heareth us: if we know that he hear us---we have the petitions that we desire of Him. 1John 5:14-15

When I think of all the scriptures pertaining to listening to GOD,he is our FATHER and like our parents in this life on Earth they have tried to get us NOT to do certain things or want us to OBEY,and GOD IS our FATHER,and when we don't listen there IS consequences for our actions,a grounding of some sort,or we are led astray,he is our FATHER,do we harken to our parents,if not will we to GOD?Amen.
  • Bruce on Philippians 1 - 9 years ago
Lu: your question is just a little ambiguous? In The Body, there are multitudes of different people brought up differently. They eat different foods, dress differently. But there's Only One Body,One Savior,One Way. Different Beliefs not ok. / in the churches, are many, many multitudes. That build their belief around Their Sins. The more oks! The better they feel./ Only The Blood of The Lamb Saves.
  • Lu2677 on Numbers 22 - 9 years ago
"stupid, idiot, crazy?"We do have these in holy writ: Matt 23:33"vipers",Pro.21:27"wicked mind"pride, depraved, Hebrews 11:20 fools, Dan 5:20"mind hardened in pride",reprobate mind, carnally minded, feeble minded, debased, liar. The person that does not have God's wisdom, understanding, knowledge, knows nothing. God brings down mans wisdom. It was a good day when I realized how stupid I am about his word.
  • Insight777 on John 1 - 9 years ago
Jesus is the shepherd not the lamb. John said behold the Lamb of God. The Lamb of God is the church that takes away the sins of the world by teaching=shedding the blood of Christ which is the new testament taught to them by Jesus. Water baptism is taught for the remission of sin and the voice of God approves. John was telling Jesus, here is your lamb=church that you come to lead to God and save.

  • Evening Jeremiah 4 22-26 ily on Genesis 1 - 9 years ago
For this shall the earth mourn, and the heavens above be black: because I have spoken it, I have purposed it, and will not repent, neither will I turn back from it. The term “for this “means: therefore. Therefore the subject matter before this line happened first. It is a comparison to Israel every night on why their soon destruction. Evening is the beginning of darkness and comes first in the day
  • Walter on John 11 - 9 years ago
I see a few comments I find a little confusing concerning baptism and salvation. One receives the Holy Spirit at the moment of conversion, not baptism. Also, simply "believing" in Jesus is not salvation. Remember that the devil and his angels believe! It is repentance towards God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ..amen!
