Virginia Combs- For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Who do you think they are talking about here.Against the powers of satan.

  • Peter A. Okebukola on Luke 17 - 9 years ago
May we NOT be among those who will be left behind when the Lord shall come. To ensure that this happens, we must be ready for His Kingdom through our being washed in the Blood of the Lamb. This chapter also underscores the importance of appreciating God's goodness towards us. One out of the ten lepers returned to thank Jesus.
  • Peter A. Okebukola on Luke 16 - 9 years ago
There is no repentance after death. After death, the judgement. It is wise, therefore, that we strive to earn a place in the Lord's Kingdom by being true to His divine will while here on earth.

Not all concubines were wicked, many possibly were virgins when they were chosen.1Chroncicles 1:32 Abraham had concubines and had children with them, he was a godly man. It was not adultry. 2Samuel 5:11-14 David took more concubines from Jerusalem after God made him king over Israel. It was not sin. Solomon took many from nations that God told him not to take from, it was his undoing; 1Kings 11:1-4
  • Lu2677 on Philippians 1 - 9 years ago
In light of Philippians 1:27 Why do people say it is "ok" to have different beliefs, in the body of Christ?
  • Irene123 on Revelation 4 - 9 years ago
The Last - whtkross' posting has nothing whatsoever to do with Heb. 4:12.
  • Sue on Romans 5 - 9 years ago
Did you mean to say we are upheld by the power of the enemy in the first paragraph.
  • Lu2677 on Luke 12 - 9 years ago
Luke 12;1-5 Jesus warns me; and I trust him. Fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.I hope with all my heart that I will never forget it, reject it, or speak against it, If the Lord is willing he will continue to give me understanding in this matter, I have his peace in this. His mercy endures forever. Every word of God is pure. There is no fear in love, I love him and I fear him, trembling

  • Irene123 on 1 Peter 3 - 9 years ago
1Peter3:1-6; I lo-o-ove these vs. Because - this is the situation I am in. Because I obey the Lord (His Word) He has made a way for me for almost 3 yrs. to serve Him. Before, for 5 yrs., God didn't make a way because I wasn't obeying Him, through His Word. If you are trying, wanting to live for Him - just obey His Word: Jn.14:15. To live for Jesus is so easy, even under persecution.
  • Irene123 on Genesis 2 - 9 years ago
I just now re-read my post of a month ago; "As to Eve and Adam not sinning ..... they had no choice ..... "; that is wrong. God created us with free choice. What I should have said was - up until the serpent entered the garden - man's free choice hadn't been 'tested'.
  • Irene123 on Genesis 1 - 9 years ago
Mcw - if God didn't put it in HIS Word then - we needn't know. Cain's wife has NOTHING to do with the point of God's Word - that of salvation ............
  • Charles Bonsu on John 6 - 9 years ago

  • Lindaharris on Psalms 23 - 9 years ago

  • Irene123 on Numbers 27 - 9 years ago
Num. 26:3 - states that Manasseh died in his own sin; I went to 'Got Questions', but they didn't even mention a sin. I wonder what it was. I'm 'almost' sure it can be figured out if we really study on Korah and then following Manasseh's story, but to save ME the trouble - I th'ot maybe someone else might know ..... ?
  • Irene123 on Numbers 25 - 9 years ago
Yes, I dearly LOVE Phineas!! In his zeal he was a 'remnant' of truth among the Israelite sinners. He had kept the TRUTH of the Word of God hid in his heart, Ps. 119:11 - "Thy Word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee." And because of that God blessed him above anyone else. And He still does that today - for His TRUTH.
  • April on 1 Samuel 2 - 9 years ago
I'm curious as to why the sons did not harken unto their fathers voice, and to think they didn't care that they were doing it either,so when we're in church, we shouldn't be there to flirt and or do other various acts that is going against what church is suppose to be for,it is the enlightenment of our father and his words not our socially disired flesh needs or oh their cute kind thing, its GOD!..
  • Irene123 on Numbers 24 - 9 years ago
Num. 14-25; God used Balaam, a wicked prophet, to prophesy of the Messiah - Jesus Christ!! God can, and does, to this day, use sinners to prophesy (witness) of Him. What I don't understand is-why was Balaam, a prophet of God, living in Moab - at the time Israel settled in Canaan ..... ???
  • April on 1 Samuel 1 - 9 years ago
I do remember reading in a prior book and other books throughout the bible, speaking on the part of promising something to God and or other people and if you break that promise it is considered a sin,it is better to not promise something with thy lios then to promise something and not follow through, father follows through his words, question is do we? I made a promise to God I am going to keep it!
  • Irene123 on Numbers 22 - 9 years ago
Num. ch. 22 - it is my understanding that at the time of Bakak - Balaam, that Israel was obeying God, but after the 3 attempts to curse them, then Balaam was inspired to tempt them with their OWN lusts; showing that we are sinful in ourselves, but if we are right with God no one can turn us away IF we don't want to be turned away. we are truly - sinner-saints
  • April on Ruth 4 - 9 years ago
Aww,this is such a sweet story,I will admitt I got all teary eyed because it's such a beautiful story,it does go to show how FATHER sees what's in our hearts and minds and he wants us to be happy as well, just like Naomi wanted for RUTH, father wants for us all, such a lovely joirney unfolded with such Love,Grace and Honor, I wonder where they put the shoe that is like your signatue on a contract?:)

I think this could help lots of people in relationship confusion or maybe they feel lonely, the number one thing is what does GOD want for us?,some of us are in relationships that cause questioning or discermant to be with someone or not, wether they have come to know you or not,a fresh relationship,we do need like minded people but as we can see GOD works in mysterious ways bringing ppl together:)
  • April on Ruth 2 - 9 years ago
I often wonder if some of the places in the Bible exist still, and called the same name or if it has been changed do people teach their children these things? and tell them stories about Father GOD and of all the wonderful and amazing things that has happened or do they read them in a book like we do?,wouldn't it be fascinating to see these places with your own eyes,I think it would be AWESOME!!!!.
  • April on Judges 21 - 9 years ago
Hmm,so I wonder, why didn't they seek GOD on what to do 4 finding wives for the house/tribe of Benjamin?,they asked if they should keep going after them in earlier chapters or cease,so why did they think kidnapping women was the answer during that time?,I get vs25 and all but,how they could seek GOD for help then, but not for that moment is beyond me,I don't always get things that happen n Bible...
  • All in All on Genesis 1 - 9 years ago
    Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;
That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us:........ And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all
  • Love on Genesis 1 - 9 years ago
If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.
  • Maude Fratcher on Isaiah 4 - 9 years ago
It is true that in scripture, that a woman represents a church.Depending on her description, whether she is faithful and pure, obedient to God and Christ, or unfaithful, fallen, apostat, disobedient to God and Christ. Is her beauty from the character she has learned from knowing and spending time with her creator, and savior Jesus,or is it superficial, not coming from an intimate relationship withJesus.
  • Lords body on 2 Corinthians 4 - 9 years ago
I read the 1611 version precisely to avoid private interpretation.
  • Lu2677 on James 2 - 9 years ago
James 2:23 "And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: And he was called the Friend of God." For the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also." Be not hearers only of the word, but doers also. The righteous, the faithful, those that have the love of the truth are His friends. Amen
