Fonz - Of course v. 4 is speaking of heaven; the NEW heaven 'n earth, not this one. Because v. 1 refers to a new heaven and earth - we just refer to the whole of it as heaven.
  • Lu2677 on Psalms 33 - 9 years ago
Bruce, Psalms 33:6-11 V.8"Let all the earth fear the Lord: Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him."Awe=dread-terror,the power to inspire dread."God has the power, all things are possible with Him. Jeremiah 19:9 (inspires awe in the context of tremble with terror) I stand in awe of Him.I hope you see my other posts; His word is all I seek.May the Lord give you understanding,I hope.

" ... He will HEAR you when you cry ... "
  • Irene123 on Acts 5 - 9 years ago
Bruce - You just got to my heart; the old song, At the cross (yes, and did my Savior Bleed). 'At the cross, at the cross, where I first saw the light, and the burden of my sins rolled away; it was there by faith I received my sight, and now I'm happy all the day.'
And, "Have a Little talk With Jesus, tell Him all about your troubles, He will you when you cry, He will answer by and by."
  • Lu2677 on Jeremiah 19 - 9 years ago
I.123Jeremiah19:9,I answered yours, please answer mine. Can you say that what God did in this verse shows that he hated them? Can you say all the destruction that God will bring to all the sinners when it's all over and this earth is destroyed is because He hates them? A simple yes or no is all I'm asking for.More verse to prove I'm wrong only proves you do not believe God. And He is listening. Amen
  • Irene123 on Judges 11 - 9 years ago
Martha - You are quite right. But an animal didn't rush to meet him. God stipulated only animal sacrifices. The daus. sacrifice was her virginity; she could never marry and have children, because of Jepthah's vow. It was the longed for expectation of every woman of Israel to be the one to produce the Messiah. All Israelites kept animals for food, sacrifices. So Jepthah just chose a 'perfect' one.

I.123,Love your question.Equate=To make allowance or correction in as will reduce to a common standard or obtain a correct result. To make equal, reqard as equal.I cannot make an allowance or correct God's word, one verse against another,to obtain a correct result.I cannot reduce His Word to a common standard;man's.He tells us to love our enemy, He says he hates sinners;I believe both;He said it
  • Lu2677 on Psalms 76 - 9 years ago
Hi Bruce, Psalms 76:7; the context of this verse is; fear of His wrath. Don't take my word for it, even thou I have given you his.Question is; can you take his Word for it? Might be a big day in your life if he shows mercy and you do take his word for it. Psalms33:8,Ecc.3:14,Romans3:18,Matthew10:28,Job23:13-16,Job25:1-2,James4:12. Typical for people to believe the lie."Don't be afraid of him"
  • Librarygal143 on Isaiah 41 - 9 years ago
What I need. Thank you, Lord.
  • Martha S on Judges 11 - 9 years ago
This story has long puzzled me but pondering again has helped. It appears Jepthah made his vow with the help of the Holy Spirit. KJ margin says "or I will offer it up for a burnt offering." Could it be that a favorite animal would have rushed to meet him as well? Sacrificing children was an abomination so she likely became fully dedicated to the Lord, as true ministers still do, as Jesus sent his.
  • Bruce on Acts 5 - 9 years ago
Jason: in the Greek it says stake or cross. The statement you're making came from a believer turned Atheists. Trying to destroy The Church. He to said he's a historian. Stake, plank, tree: makes no difference,He was lifted up,He paid for Our sins. What about yours? Only by The Blood of The Lamb is there Salvation! At The Cross,at The Cross when I first saw The Light. The Lord Died on a Cross for me!
  • Fonz on Revelation 21 - 9 years ago
In the verse it says "death will be no more"... Obviously it isn't talking about heaven because there is no death in heaven.it speaks about a new Paradise earth.
  • Melissa on Psalms 95 - 9 years ago

  • Damali on Psalms 121 - 9 years ago
Thank you Lord foryour kindness and mercy.
  • Word on Revelation 1 - 9 years ago
The test is simple if you love the Lord with all your heart. Oh, He can know! Now Satan comes at the 6th seal, 6th trump and the 6th vial. Satan comes to deceive the whole world in a deception of being Christ return so wait for the true Christ at the 7th trump. If your in the flesh and they say Christ is here you know it's not true an the true Christ does not come in peace but war. Wait for Christ
  • Peter A. Okebukola on Luke 15 - 9 years ago
Many of us are prodigal sons striving to return to the warm embrace of Jesus and celebration in heaven of a returning lost soul. Thank Jesus for His forgiving spirit.
  • Peter A. Okebukola on 1 Samuel 12 - 9 years ago
The key message from Samuel to the Israelites in this chapter is "Only fear the LORD, and serve him in truth with all your heart: for consider how great things he hath done for you." This message is true for us today and for all times. We must fear the Lord and serve Him in truth.
  • Irene123 on Leviticus 16 - 9 years ago
Lev. 16:27 - On the day of atonement, the priests did not eat the bodies of the sacrificial animals as on other days (Lev.10:16-18); they took them outside the camp and burned them ( Lev. 16:27). Sacrifices on the Day of Atonement portrayed the death of Jesus; the priests were not permitted to eat the flesh of these. Cont.
  • Gloria on Psalms 91 - 9 years ago
I believe just what the Word says. That dwelling in Christ and having Him dwell in us is the
Safest place to be. We can be assured of His protection at all times. All kinds of dangers lurk
around us. However, God has assigned His angles to watch over and keep us from those things
that would be detrimental to His will for us. Lord I thank you for Your protection and guidance. Amen

  • Irene123 on Psalms 5 - 9 years ago
LU2677 - I'm just curious, absolutely not judging; I'm just very simply and openly - asking a question: how do you equate God hating sinners, actually hating people, to Matt. 5:43-44 ..... ?
  • Irene123 on Psalms 5 - 9 years ago
    J. T. Forbes - Could you explain what you mean by - That His name Jesus is Jehovah God in us eternal .....?
  • Lu2677 on Genesis 3 - 9 years ago
To all that think God created people outside the garden. All things are possible with God,not denying it.If that was his plan why would he tell people to go forth and multiply? Why did he make provisions for husband and wife to procreate?People were living for several hundred years then, opportunity to have many children.Does he say he created others in the manner he formed Adam and Evein his word.
  • Lu2677 on John 14 - 9 years ago
Bruce, John 14:26.Be at peace.V.27"Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." Be courageous. Luke 12:4-5 Jesus warns us to Fear the Lord with terror, because he has power to cast us into the lake of fire that you preach.Could the "fearful" be someone that does not have the courage to tell others about Christ?Or have Christ like courage during times of testing;trials, temptations.?
  • Lu2677 on Romans 3 - 9 years ago
Bruce,I believe the verses you gave."fearful","spirit of fear"could be referring to worldly things.I will hold fast to: Luke 12:4"Jesus said,And I say to you my friends, be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do." 5."But I will forwarn you whom ye shall fear:Fear him, whom after hath killed hath power to cast into hell.Yea,I say unto you fear him
  • Susanne Brown on 1 Corinthians 5 - 9 years ago

  • Irene123 on Deuteronomy 11 - 9 years ago
Obedience to God's Word. It's so very simple. Nothing to 'think' about. The Word of God is so very plain. Acts 2:37 - 38. " ..... what shall we do?" Then Peter's answer. Jesus said, in Matt. 6:33, preparing people for the day of Pentecost in Acts Ch. 2 - "Seek ye FIRST the Kingdom of God (salvation), and all these things shall be added unto you." the things of this life , food, raiment, shelter.
  • Irene123 on Psalms 119 - 9 years ago
While the Bible evokes admiration by it's wise advice rhythmic verse, fascinating stories and profound concepts, none of them alone compel us to change our lives. It's greatest feature is in expectation of obedience. This constitutes the major difference from all other writings. We cannot read just for enjoyment; it must alter the course of our lives. Unless it is obeyed, we read it in vain.
