I just now NOTICED Matt. 1:1 - "And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple; ... "; this was the last time He was in the temple. The word 'departed' says to me He could do no more for His unbelieving people. He had the disciples and those many they had converted, but so many He could not reach. This was the beginning of His 'time' - for our salvation. It's sad; makes me want to weep.

Hi Amy; I see many similarities between Jeremiah's times, and ours today. The transgressors come to the full without restraint, and it seems like no remedy remains; but for God to give them up to their own ways, and allow them to do all that they have ever imagined to do. Like Jeremiah; our words and our ways are given to us from God in Jesus' name, to be His faithful witnesses up to the end.

The Lord Jesus told a story; (that He had evidently witnessed); about a poor beggar named Lazarus; who was eventually freed from his most miserable life, and granted life eternal; because "In his life he had evil things, and now he is comforted." Not a word about a religious rite having to be done, or even mention of a prayer! Yet God loved him, and did not forget ANYTHING of all that he suffered!

Hi Bruce; If that's how it was for you, I rejoice with you. My experience went somewhat different however from yours; but I know that there was joy in the presence of the angels over this sinner that repented! I haven't kept any day for a memorial, or as special; and I stay away generally from holidays or religious tokens; but have my religion in practical application of the Spirit led life.

Forgetmenot,In Re:to the discussion about identifying a false Christian.It should not be a snap judgment and it should be based on God's standards, not men's. His Word tells us how a saved person is suppose to live. He tells us the sins that keep people out of His Kingdom. Christians are of one Spirit, they are like-minded. They love godly correction. One must be careful not to err in this.

Gen. ch.1 was a 'blueprint, pre-plan for man's creation. Gen 2:27 says God breathed into Adam the breath of life and Adam became a living soul. Ch. 2 gives more detail, so we know ch. 2 is when it actually happened.

cont. - Death came, as God told Adam it would, when the Word of God was violated." This is the very pre-plan God has reproduced for us - only in this age of Grace. I just realized this comparison as I read the foregoing part from the book, "Bible Doctrines - foundation of the church". Death comes to us as we violate the Word of God by not turning to Him in repentance - Acts 2:38.

The reign of death began as the result of transgression against divine commandment. Adam 'n Eve sinned against God in disobedience. Consequently, the access to the Tree of Life, which would have enabled man to live forever, was blocked. The cherubim and the turning, flaming sword prohibited man's continued, unending existence in his terrestrial environment. cont.

Jn. 1:1 - God IS His Word, so it couldn't be lost or confused.

And we need to pay CLOSE attn. to those words. It's enlightening to see from v. 1 all thru this ch. that it was all written lo-ong after the events. And that this writing of Lk's is the first of this being written. The first that was actually written was ca. 15yrs. after the Acts Ch. 2 church began. Those 15 yrs. GOD kept the TRUTH of His word - intact; none was lost thru oral tradition.

V. 3 - " ..... most excellent Theophulis; v.4 - "That thou mightiest know the certainty of those things, wherein thou hast been instructed." "excellent" sounds like perhaps he was someone of the Temple, but Luke does not say, so neither can we state it as fact. But, he was a convert to Christianity of Luke's, We can know that much as per Luke's words to him. cont.

Connie Green - I liked your post. It was right down the line with God's Word. An 83 yr. old woman I give rides to is Connie. And she is more agile than I am and I'm 75. I love Jesus though and He can lay on me whatever 'trials' He cares to. I just look to Paul in Corinthians.

Cont. - When Jesus was on earth He was God manifest in the flesh. Matt. 11:27 " ... and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him." God knows our hearts and KNOWS who wants His truth.

The Trinitarian world refers to manifestations of Father, Son, and Holy Ghost as 3 distinct and separate persons in the Godhead, namely "God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost." If every manifestation of God was another God we'd have "God the voice ( Gen. 3:8), God the burning bush, God the angel (Jacob wrestled with), God the pillar of fire, to name ONLY a few. cont.

Jonah knew what he had done he wanted to see if he could get away with it but God was waiting to meet him at his Arrival you can alway run but you can't hide from your mistake

He clearly states in the bible he doesnt look on outward appearance but at our heart. Hes clearly looking at our motives. If someone is going through troubles. Accept youre going through troubles, whatever they may be. Ask Him to help you. Don't give up on Him. He says all men are created equal.

If you mean by patient "skirting around an issue, or flattering someone" when someone is speaking against his word, or making a false accusation, then be happy in your patience. (I mean that with respect, not sarcasm) The Lord has taught me to be bold, and stand up for him.

Dilu, God hates the workers of iniquity; plain English, is it not? Psalm 5:5. Yet, God so loved the world; John 3:16. Some people cannot grasp the truth that God hates people. This "hate" should cause you to Fear him. Fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.

After he saved me this is one of the 1st verse that he gave me understanding of, Romans 11:36. And Fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Amen
