1 Corinthians 10:23 "All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not." Bruce, For you to say my question was a "little bit ambiguous" did not edify. After all, I said "In light of" if something is brought into the "light" with hope that it will edify (offering knowledge) someone; I would think it not "ambiguous."

I said,"In the light of Philippians 1:27" My question was rhetorical=asked in order to make a statement rather than to get an answer. I was bringing it into the light for those here that say"believe whatever you want, as long as you are under the blood you are saved" and comments to that affect. I do know the answer, and thank you for your input.I hope others will give it serious consideration.

Irene: Christ is The only One who Redeems. Without His Blood there's no Salvation. Verse 24 says: Redemption is in Christ Jesus. The Mission of True Believers is to Tell Others The Way of Salvation. We are The The Only Light in this World of Darkness

Perhaps a person stopped going to a particular church because he learned that the church follows/teaches false doctrine. It does not necessarily mean he has broken fellowship (cut off, fallen away) with the Lord.
It would be worse for him/her to continue worshiping with them. His sheep hears His voice, and they follow him,they do not hear the voice of strangers!

Mark 14:35"fell on the ground and prayed"Many verse has only the word"prayed",without mention of what position.I don't see an explicit way in scripture because obviously some people are unable to kneel,stand,sit,fall on the ground,etc. The physical ability would dictate how.

2Peter 2:12 God calls them "natural brute beasts, that were made to be destroyed, speak evil of the things they understand not and shall utterly perish in their own corruption." He is speaking of the unsaved, false teachers/preachers, and those that fall away from grace. They are predestined for destruction=made to be destroyed. Destroyed=eternal torment in hell.

Jacob did not worship the true God and following Jacob prevents salvation. Jesus is the water of salvation, do not mix the old testament with the new. Those that drink a Jacobs well will always thirst meaning lack salvation. Jesus is the Son of God not a son of Davids linage.

I agree with this post.my family has been to many churches within my community, and have come across imposters and those whom are not truly following the Lord's word. And I still come across those whom say they are loving and accepting but than they turn their backs and start being judgemental. I do not expect someone to be part of any fellowship to prove they are God loving and truly faithful

Escaped=saved, through the knowledge=saved by grace,through faith,and then are overcome AGAIN by unbelief and sin, they will be worse off than they were before saved.

Nineveh was a GREAT city of the Assyrians. They were ALWAYS, from their beginning, in idolatry. Nimrod was the father of the Assyrians. They were so very convicted by God thru Jonah, they wanted to make SURE God saw their sincerity. This was the first 'turning' to the Gentiles, but not with the GRACE of God shown in the N.T.

mr Monday- you can position your body in prayer however you are able or want to. I am 75 and cannot kneel, so I just sit. To kneel is an act of humility, but it's our hearts that are humbled BEFORE we kneel. And it's our hearts He searches.

It is very important to believe and trust in God's word, totally depend on it, disobedient to God is not acceptable.

Generations have fallen back in their fervor towards God and have become more materialistic and disbelieving altogether. Look where we are, totally at odd with each other and ready to fight each other. Our fervor is misplaced and we hate and mistrust the stranger we pretend to have mercy on. I understand, sort of, that Christians deem themselves redeemed by the Blood. But, really what has changed since the resurrection but another religion of sinners. Our people in earth more religious, God fearing than in the days of Moses and the Prophets. Not at all. In fact they are by far the greater in hypocrisy and ignorance. In the days of old, they were more righteous in that successive
