We are living in the Church age so we are saved by Paul's Gospel 1Corinthians 15: 1-4 The old testament saints were not saved the same way we are because JESUS had not died yet. When they died they went to Abrahams bosom because they could not go to heaven yet because the blood of bulls and goats could not pay for their sin. It was not until JESUS died on the cross that all our sin was paid

It is the season of Lint, reading the first 40 chapters of psalms is one good way to get to know our Heavenly Father. And remember when you pray always say Our Father Who Art In Heaven. Satan believes he is a God to, and if you say Dear God, He will sway your thoughts. Remember during lint to give up something you love to Honor your Heavenly Father's Son dying on the cross for you.

Dear beloved, I'm praying in agreement with you that God will move to sort your mortgage issues out. Remember that 'the eternal God is your Refuge and underneath you are the everlasting Arms' ( Deuteronomy 33: 27) I'm sensing God saying, 'I've got this!' Come on, praiiiise the LORD!
  • Gloria on Genesis 50 - 9 years ago
Grace and mercy was showed to a brother that was left to die in an unknown land. God will always be for you when the world turn against you. Joseph was blessed before any thing happened to him. His father Jacob had already told him that his brothers would be his servants and they hated him for the blessing his father had put on his life. In the end he still showed the love he had in his heart.

Humbleone? Are you saying God lets us remove our burdens, then drag them through a hole, into heaven? To pack on again? There never has been a gate:eye of the needle. There's a cord made from camels hair that won't go through the eye. Who can be saved? Only who are called: John6:44/washed Revelation1:5/Baptized with The Holy Ghost: Matthew 3:11/ you will be changed 2Corinthians 5:17 you will know!

This scripture is a reminder for us to relax, but to be always cautious of what we are dealing with in this world, to pray in spirit because everything starts in the spirit realm before it manifest in the body, as Christians we really need to be pray always, the holy spirit to take over our lives.

We must keep remembering that "God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?" We must keep trusting God and believing that if we stay at the centre of His will, He will do what He says He will do in our life.
  • Toni Overton on 1 Samuel 24 - 9 years ago
"Many mourn for their sins, who do not truly repent of them; weep bitterly for them, yet continue in love and in league with them." When confronted with sins I've already repented, I CONSCIOUSLY stop, acknowledge God's presence
  • Irene123 on 2 Timothy 2 - 9 years ago
Acts 2:38 comes before 3:26; Matt. 28:19; Lk. 24:47 ( in the mouth of 2 or 3 witnesses) comes before Jn. 20:28 (My Lord AND My God); then Acts 2:38, 4:12; Rom.10:13, to 'call' on the name is when one is baptized using the name of (not titles) of Jesus.

As to the aforementioned Sabbath day commentary - we need to begin using this site as a commentary - and not a 'venting' venue.
  • Irene123 on Mark 2 - 9 years ago
I have seen on here many many refs. to the Sabbath DAY. I've never seen any of them explain vs. 23-27, and all the other scriptures that tell of Jesus 'doing' on the Sabbath. Nor have I seen anyone ask these sabbath day believers to explain these verses of Jesus 'doing' on the Sabbath; all anyone does is argue with them.
  • Irene123 on Mark 2 - 9 years ago
    V. 2 - "and many were gathered together ..... and He preached the word to them".
This 'revival' is on the horizon - again.

  • Lilian on 2 Timothy 2 - 9 years ago
Jesus is a good Shepherd who laid down his life for us the Sheep. We as a sheep we must live and follow Jesus by obeying his words. Jesus knows who are for him and only the Sheeps who follow Jesus can hear his voice. Jesus came for the losts and the sinners by his blood we are redeemed our prayers must be praising and thanking Jesus for everything

    V. 6 - the "east country" would be what is now Iran (formerly Persia; King Cyrus, whom God used to help rebuild the 2nd temple) Persia was his country.
  • Irene123 - 9 years ago
    V. 21 cont. - God named Isaac, just like he named John the Baptist, and Jesus. And who else I can't think right off hand.
  • Irene123 on Genesis 17 - 9 years ago
    V. 21 - As many times as I've read this chap. - I just now noticed v. 21 - God named 'Isaac' before he was born.
  • Irene123 on Genesis 13 - 9 years ago
    V. 4 - " ..... and there Abraham called on the Name of the Lord." Abraham reiterated his first oath to God and not actually KNOWING his oath, I can well imagine it entailed Micah 6:8. He reaffirmed his standing with God. Everyday we need to do this, as we wake up, before starting in on OUR business.
  • Bridgette Alvarez on Proverbs 12 - 9 years ago
Verse 7 says, "The wicked are overthrown, and are not: but the house of the righteous shall stand." I struggled with this verse because of God's mercies. Then God lead me to the story of Paul, the chief sinner as he called himself, and how he was delivered and I came to the understanding how both could be true. God gives the wicked a chance to repent but if they don't then there is a consequence.

  • Jhoilman on Philippians 4 - 9 years ago
Verse 6 jumped out at me this morning as I was reading I know that God doesn't put more us than we can bare, but I feel that sometimes He lets things happen to get our attention. I am going through a dark valley with our mortgage company. My prayer life wasn't what it should be and this verse as well as others may me wake up and say listen. God knows all and He just wants you to come and ask.
