I read so many apologizing for David's "Anointed" words, and excusing a weak character and sinning. When the Holy Spirit "mightily filled" David from the day that Samuel anointed him in front of his brothers and his dad; how do some really think that David wasn't writing according to the kind of walk he had with God? Instead they project their own unsanctified and unconsecrated nature to everyone!

Thank-you, Wm.; I began knowing the Lord through the KJV nearly 50 yrs. ago ( 75 tomorrow, 27th). At the time I knew only - there was a God, wasn't there ... ? The way one begins is usually how they end. My Pas. is led of Jesus at every service. Very occasionally the teacher/Pas. uses another interpretation. I'm sure you know the KJV was ordained of Jesus thru King James of England.

disciple: No one can keep the commandments! (pls. permanently delet it from your mind.)
    Matt 5:17 - 48
John 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.
    John 14:21.
Grace is made available to help us walk in the commandments, not a free ticket to sin
Grace gives us another chance to obey the commandments of God
we have a commandment to obey. and this is required of us.
    Romans 6:1

steve:what is the WILL of GOD?
This is the will of God. Luke 10:27. And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself. Just ponder over it continually in your heart and the Holy Spirit will guide you.
  • A disciple on Exodus 9 - 9 years ago
I see an absolute similarity between Pharaoh and his wicked people, and the so-called Liberal Globalists and Islamist Cult of today. They worship and serve the same devil; and they yet exalt themselves against the true people of God! We read in Revelation, as in all the Prophets, that even with all the plagues and punishments that God sends upon the world of the ungodly; yet do they not repent!
  • William on 2 Corinthians 5 - 9 years ago
sis Irene, I am with you because I only utilize the KJV. However, let us not be so dogmatic about any bible translation. Kjv is very reliable, but there are other reliable ones also. All that matters is a changed life in Christ.
  • Mild Bill on Psalms 26 - 9 years ago
"Mine integrity" is his fairness, in perspective. He is not unaware of his faults and is reliant on trusting in the mercy of the Lord. Some behavior is not his habit. He has "walked" and "will" walk, because he knows something of the place where the Lord dwells, and he wants to be there. He does not hold back his praise of God and his wondrous works. He sees and knows the best of God. Shouldn't we
  • Zannah on 2 Timothy 3 - 9 years ago
I was thinking of those who search for God but the natural desires of humankind wants to see and hold on to physical attachment to a God whom they thought is carnal like us. Therefore, resulted in chasing not the true spiritual knowledge of God but after their own weakneses.

  • Irene123 on Proverbs 18 - 9 years ago
'Jesus' is all through the O.T. The whole of the O.T. is all about Jesus. Luke 24:44, Jn. 20:28 - Thomas was a DEVOUT Jew. NO Jew will call anyone 'Lord' and 'God' except He is that. Deut.6:4 - Hear O Israel, the Lord your God is one Lord," (Shema). Nor did Jesus, being a DEVOUT Jew, rebuke Thomas. The name Jehovah translates to Jesus.

    V. 9 - man proposes, God disposes
  • Irene123 on Proverbs 9 - 9 years ago
    V. 8 is referring to a 'wise' man who is walking in the 'light' of the Word of God; he has God's spirit in him and therefore has God's love for souls and will welcome any correction from a fellow Christian in that walk - so he will be right with God. He won't feel condemned if the correction is given gently in the spirit of God's love.

  • JoAnn on 2 Timothy 4 - 9 years ago
Paul had experienced God, he saw the seriousness of the advancement of the gospel. The Spirit was driving him. I fear that in 2017, we have lost the passion for truth. If we don't have God fearing men like Paul, I am afraid we will only have our ears tickled. God, help us!

  • David on Deuteronomy 1 - 9 years ago
So far I have read chapter 1 and realize it teaches a lesson of faith in God. The children of Israel could not see God who was bigger that their circumstance and as such most never made it to the promised land.

For me Pam's 91:1 sets the foundation to understanding the rest of the verses, because i be obedient to that first verse then my faith lines up with the power of the remaining scriptures and the manifestation of God's power may be glorified in my walk in spite of the worldly attacks I suffer daily.

  • Darren Le Brun on 2 Timothy 4 - 9 years ago
I Thought of it as i do most of God's words meant to inspire us, Very inspiring and also very convicting. As i know i fall so short of the mark, at present i find i am clutching to my faith as a life raft trying to keep myself afloat in my storm. Thank you Lord for all my blessings with your strength and guidance i pray it to may keep the faith and finish my race worthy of you. in Jesus Name i Pray Amen.

This 'knit-picking' is what Jesus got onto the Pharisees about, Matt23:23; "you have omitted the weightier matters ... ", i.e. salvation, love, compassion, .........
  • Bjorn Bjorkman on Joshua 23 - 9 years ago
Jane I don't think lying about our state is going to help people. The truth is always the best way. God himself said he had seen that the people were a stiffnecked people. What the Church needs is people willing to say the truth and warn others. Unfortunately this isn't happening and those that might be saved if they heard the warning are being told smooth things instead of the truth.
  • Irene123 on Matthew 9 - 9 years ago
Why do people knit-pick on scriptures that have nothing to do with salvation ..... ?
  • Irene123 on Matthew 8 - 9 years ago
Matt. ch.8 says 2 men; Mk. says one man; this book, Peggy, is the Bible; God's Word. Try asking Him ...; and no, I am being serious, not facetious.
