We should always praise God when He brings us through situations but we should also praise Him while we are going through them, instead of complaining.
  • Bridgette on Psalms 4 - 9 years ago
I recently lost my father and am home alone reading for comfort. Praise God for his word! I am really enjoying the trivia questions.
  • Brianna for verse 8 on Isaiah 42 - 9 years ago
A correct translation is not LORD,but the divine name Jehovah or Yahweh. With that name it gives vs. 8 a better understanding. Jehovah is God's name. It is a unique name, and a name that should not be covered over by titles. Jehovah does not share his name with any other God. It means "He causes to become".

I left God and the faith and want him to take me back, I did evil against him and toward him. I can not get back. I do not want God wrath

"Therefore the law is slacked, and judgment doth never go forth: for the wicked doth compass about the righteous; therefore wrong judgment proceeds." (1:4) We seek the Lord with all our hearts, and endeavor to let our light shine. We pray for our leaders, and for the good to prevail. We help by our prayers, and by our obedience to walk in truth. But the world around us is set on "another" course!
  • A disciple on Luke 10 - 9 years ago
In all the various kinds of people following Jesus, look at the oneness of the word toward each kind! To the Seventy, to the Lawyer, to Martha; all speak to us about being sent into difficult situations and conditions, for the sake of doing God's work: whether we are sent out; or if we have one in front of us who needs mercy; or we need to lay aside all our "other" worries, and sit down and hear!
  • Bruce on Luke 1 - 9 years ago
disciple: No one can keep the commandments! They show us how sinful we are, in need of a perfect Sacrifice. Hebrews 10:12/ Without The Blood of The Lamb,The Son of God,there is no Salvation. The Father will call: John 6:44/Forgiving 1John 1:9/Baptized with the Holy Ghost: Matthew 3:11/You will be made new 2Corinthians5:17 you will know impossible not to know! We're Holy before Him because of JESUS
  • A disciple on Exodus 7 - 9 years ago
The Elect of God, the Faithful in Christ, have now a long time been under subjection to a wicked and perverted world; and the LORD is coming down to deliver us and to judge the world for its evil. The first sign; the rod of Moses turned into a serpent; indicates that God sends the devil to punish the wicked. The waters are then turned to blood because they have filled the land with innocent blood.

Gary: READ THE POST BELOW YOUR NAME BY BRUCE (DO YOU FEEL A TUG IN YOUR HEART?)
  • Irene123 on Luke 2 - 9 years ago
Vs. 8-12; every time I read these - I hear Linus; I am 74, but as with most adults I watched it with my kids. That scene with Linus will always be special to me. It was the only time 'religion' was allowed in a child's show.
  • Irene123 on Luke 1 - 9 years ago
Eliz. barrenness wasn't an unfortunate circumstance; it was God's plan to bring forth John at that time. Why John 'n Jesus were born 6 mos. apart I don't know; God has His planned timing. I concur that Zach. 'n Eliz. were sad about no children, but they stayed with the Lord in spite of trials. And were they BLESSED!!! God is so GOOD - all the time - if we will just trust Him, with patience.

To Cikizwa - the first gospel writer who didn't finish - what? and what is meant by, "also the eye witness of Jesus"?
  • Irene123 on Mark 15 - 9 years ago
"joe" one year, ago is right about what Jesus said oh the cross: Jesus was speaking in His native language, not speaking in tongues as in Acts. Jesus was GOD, not a 'separate 'son' from God. The flesh of Jesus (God's name) was what God inhabited while in His ministry on earth. Jn. 1:14; 1 Tim. 3:16. Jesus said, "When you have seen e, you have seen the Father." Jesus (God) had no need to speak in -
  • A disciple on Exodus 36 - 9 years ago
Irene, Have you ever seen someone who was truly gifted in one thing or another? The Lord made them that way! Like when He told Moses, that He knew Aaron his brother could speak well; God makes us all the way He makes us! Not only Beezaleel and Aholiab; but all the others, "whose spirits stirred them up" to come do the work; God gave them all understanding and skill to do every aspect of the work.

Paul cont. - even Peter at this time didn't have all the light on the O.T. God wanted to be alone with Paul for this teaching, with no distractions; Arabia at that time was a good place for privacy. Paul himself said, neither was I taught it by man , but God revealed it to me. So Paul was in Arabia for awhile, under the tutelage of God.
  • Irene123 on John 4 - 9 years ago
Paul and Arabia; Paul didn't go to Arabia to study written words. He was an Israelite, of the tribe of Benjamin, etc. He knew the O.T. frontwards and backwards, but hadn't the 'light' on Jesus in those scriptures. That's why God sent him to Arabia - so He (God) could give Paul light on Jesus in the O.T. Jesus talked to Paul just like on the road to Damascus. Cont.

The falling away is the apostasy ,,or the falling away from God or ones belief not a rapture...
  • Irene123 on John 3 - 9 years ago
To HD - Thank-you for your stand on His truth.
  • Irene123 on John 1 - 9 years ago
    V. 47 - " ..... in whom I no guile." This statement proves early on that Jesus can see into our hearts. I know personally of no one outside of living for Jesus, that has no guile. But, Jesus wasn't saying Nathaniel was sinless, we all have been born in sin, let alone the sins we have committed. Guile is - lying, craftiness, evil.
  • Whtkross on Revelation 4 - 9 years ago
Gods word became flesh If Jesus sit's on the throne at his father's right hand, So do I?. Your words are like a double-edged sword, one side can cut you while the other side can heal it. One word from God can change you life Forever. The 7 spirits of the Lord ???? Hmmm
  • Irene123 on Luke 24 - 9 years ago
Vs. 47, 49 - These 2 vs. is exactly what happened 10 days after Jesus ascended; they tarried and prayed those 10 days and the spirit came on the breath of God (wind) and br'ot the Holy Ghost in tongues of fire. Then Peter opened the way of salvation with the keys of Acts 2:38 - repentance, baptism in Jesus name, filled with the Holy Ghost.
  • Immanuel on 2 Thessalonians 1 - 9 years ago
Don't act like you serve GOD.
  • James on Psalms 1 - 9 years ago
My dear friend, if you want a real experience with God , begin where the Church begin Acts chapter 2 beginning with verse 1, by the time you reach verse 39, you will see and know about a life changing experience you can receive if you want.
  • Dwan Johnson on Psalms 1 - 9 years ago
Have faith in The Lord Yahshua and believe, confess with your tongue and you can be saved
  • Irene123 - 9 years ago
blaspheming cont. - if one doesn't know what salvation is all about, and it's all in His word, then that person cannot blaspheme against it. One has to have experienced it first. For just any person to use an expletive or other 'descriptive' language against the H. G. - God knows he is 'ignorant' of the facts; God is very merciful and understanding, he still has a chance with God.
  • Irene123 on Luke 12 - 9 years ago
    V. 10 - One who blasphemes against the Holy Ghost is one who has been saved, walked with Jesus for a time, then for one 'worldly' reason or another, has left the church and then began teaching friends, family, that it's all a lie, i.e. the healing, the answered prayer, the receiving of the Holy Ghost evidenced by speaking in tongues, and etc.
  • Irene123 on Luke 12 - 9 years ago
To Steph - I have to ask (and this is an honest, sincere question) why do you think the Bible has hung around for 2,000 yrs., give or take a hundred, if no one should read it?
  • Irene123 on Luke 13 - 9 years ago
correction - Search the scriptures - Jn. 5:39
  • Irene123 on Luke 13 - 9 years ago
