  • Irene123 on Jude 1 - 9 years ago
Occasionally I think back to my young days and attending Church with my parents and saying the doxology, "Praise God From Whom All Blessings Flow ..... "; it always ended, Praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost. I looked it up and now it ends, "Creator, Christ and spirit, One." I guess they changed it in the new century, it doesn't say. At least they've got the ONE in there.

Eph. cont. - "No other epistle in the New testament expresses this truth more eloquently than Paul's epistle to the Ephesians." unquote. The grand, glorious, majesty of our Lord and savior!!! And He is sharing all of it with His saints, Jew and Gentile alike. We (us, we!!!) show forth His beautiful Glory as we obey ( Acts 2:37-38), and then live sinless lives for Him.
  • Irene123 on Ephesians 1 - 9 years ago
I've seen several comments on here about Ephesians being people's favorite book. By the way they are worded I can see they're not sure why they love it so. Maybe this will help: "The Song of Solomon of the New Testament" - "This love God had for Israel, as shown in the Song of Solomon, is wonderfully typical of the love that Jesus Christ has for His church. - cont.
  • Shawn H. on Wisdom of Solomon 2 - 9 years ago
I believe that just like today, Our Father tested Adam and Eve, to see if they would obey him. I'm sure He knew the serpent would try to deceive them, but wanted Them to prove their obedience.
  • Vincent Roos on Psalms 27 - 9 years ago
I am really touched by ALL of David's Psalms! But this one, 27, is the one MOST APPLICABLE to my life from day one. I have enemies, but God is my shield; I have family that has forsaken me, but God has clearly took me up; I am EXCITED about the day that will cometh that I can behold the beauty of the Lord; Finally, the Lord is my light and my salvation and I am patiently WAITING on him; Be Blessed

  • Irene123 on Genesis 7 - 9 years ago
You know, God didn't give us His Word to 'puzzle' through and try to figure out what it means - on our own. That's what His Holy Spirit (Holy Ghost, Acts 2:38) is for. We are to 'pray through' to receiving His guiding spirit to open up His Word to us. HE - wants to teach us His Holy Word; just like any teacher, high school, college, etc. They don't hand you a book and say - learn it yourself.
  • Irene123 on Genesis 6 - 9 years ago
The men on here that believe angels had sex with 'daus. of men' - need to PRAY for God's wisdom before reading these vs. again. You men haven't got God's spirit or you would know - angels are spirits, just like God; they cannot reproduce; they haven't the equipment. Nor have they God's power when He 'overshadowed' Mary. God created them and so controls them. Isa.1:18 - Come now, let us reason ---.
  • Irene123 on Genesis 6 - 9 years ago
Gen. 4:26 - "..... then began men to call on the name of the Lord". This is when men became 'sons of God, when they began recognizing Him. Gen. 6:2 - " ..... "That the sons of God saw the daus. of men." Daus. of heathen men.

  • A disciple on Genesis 50 - 9 years ago
Death is a terrible thing, and it was not God's first idea for man. God made us to be His children and to live for ever. It is a very sad that we have to die. Sin is cannot be taken lightly; for we all can see its real nature, and the terrible end we all must come to because of it. Because of Jesus, we can be reconciled to God, and the sins taken away; and we will live again. This life is not all.
  • Ernestina Francois on Isaiah 53 - 9 years ago
Isaiah in his distress speaks a very relevant and timely words to a dead nation. We as humans have indeed gone astray, we as believers have indeed left our first love. We have gone astray, turn our backs on the truth. As a sheep without a Sheppard is confused, distress and lack guidance, direction and focus, so is all who result to living without Christ. The very core and essence of our being, a Saviour coming and dying so as sheep, we will have a Sheppard to guide our incompetent minds and hearts to the Father. Everything we could ever do to label us destroyed and dead- He Jesus Christ took on the cross. A true mark for our salvation and survival. Today, most of us do not or cannot stand, live and embrace the truth of our identity. We live us citizens without rights, sons and daughters without parents, body without heads! Isaiah is calling us to reflect and return to the Father of all creations.
  • Stephende on Luke 12 - 9 years ago
This is the truth on steroids. God is a heart knower. He kniws that all are in sin. Christians misconstrue that Jesus exonerated us on the cross. Do you really think that he died so as to prevent us from striving against the Devil. He has forewarned us that all must watch which means we must search our own hearts for the evil therein. Judge for yourself the times. Our leader is an evil liar

  • Anne on Exodus 2 - 9 years ago
Purpose preserves life. Moses purpose was to lead the Israelites out of bondage (Egypt) therefore God preserved his life and prepared him for leadership in the courts of Phaorah.

  • George Medina on 1 John 1 - 9 years ago
The bible is the living word of God, 1 John and the rest of the bible shows God love for us. But we must begin at the beginning. Repent, turn to God, ask for forgiveness, ask him to give us his holy Spirit and begin to live like a person who has repented of his former lifestyle. For God so loved you he gave his only begotten Son to be crucified for you that you believing might be saved. God is lov
  • Shannon Powell on Psalms 91 - 9 years ago
Psalms 91 is scripture that gives me strength, because Gods says as long as I keep my eyes on him in spite of any circumstances that he will fight my battles. He also says just because I love him he will be there in times of troubles N satisfy me N show me his salvation. I never seen a man sacrifice or be willing to give all the things God is doing for me in my life. PERIOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AmeN
  • Gods child Kali on Psalms 91 - 9 years ago
psalms 91 reassures me that as I abide in God He will protect me. This reminds me that God is there no matter what and we should have No fear. I
imagine that as I am protected I also have to do my part with God
  • Geraldine Cole on Matthew 5 - 9 years ago
This is what Jesus want his children to do while following the Ten Commandment but we must believe all of The word of God from the beginning to the End
  • Irene123 on Acts 2 - 9 years ago
Acts 2:4 - I've seen the question on here (on the comments back pgs.) - "I've tried to explain to my congregation that the holy ghost and the holy spirit are two separate things." I'm sure v. 4 is where they got this erroneous idea. Had Luke said, "..... as the ghost gave them utterance." it would have been ludicrous, as you can see. Isa. 1:18 - Come now, let us reason together ..... ".
  • Sandy on Exodus 35 - 9 years ago
Madamm chairman There is more to it then Just asking for forgiveness. You must become Christ-like. If you believe then you follow Christ example and live as Christ did.
Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
  • Kim A Watson on Psalms 127 - 9 years ago
