Ref. V 13- Exactly the same theme and attitude as the Progressive Movement of our day 2017. We seem to think because we are so smart we don't need God anymore. That goes for our nation and the world. This verse supports an end time prophecy "Knowledge shall Increase".
V 21- God saved a remnant then and He is going to save a remnant again in our generation. (ie) the Rapture of the Church

I pray for knowledge and understanding amen and amen
  • A disciple on Revelation 4 - 9 years ago
Yeshua is by interpretation Yehovah [is] Salvation. Yehovah, or Yahweh, is "I AM." When Moses asked God His name; God answered, "I AM THAT I AM" and told him to say to the son's of Israel, that I AM has sent me to you. In Amos 6:10, there is a foretelling of how the Jews would at one point, no longer be "allowed" to speak the name of the LORD; as a part of the punishment for their impenitent ways.
  • A disciple on 2 Thessalonians 2 - 9 years ago
Irene, I'd like to very carefully suggest something for you to think about. While it may seem innocent to some of us who are older, and have lived in a very different time then is now in the world; for that reason; that it IS VERY DIFFERENT; we should not speak of ourselves or others' personal information. It is important to keep things safely neutral, as we don't know who is monitoring us here.

Judy, good questions! The seventh day is "Shabbat;" which is the original Hebrew word for our English word sabbath. It comes from the root Shin-Beit-Tav and means to cease, to end, to rest. When the Emperor Constantine "became a Christian," he held to his worship of the Sun-god; (which is where the name Sunday comes from); and decreed that on Sun-day, all citizens must come together for Church.
  • WitB BotS on Revelation 2 - 9 years ago
Thyatira: Of all the spiritual sickness in todays church, this one stands out to me the most. Our country has opened its heart and literally doors to the Jezebel spirit.
"Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols."

Dianne J. - Ps. 1:1; where is the secret place of God?
  • Irene123 on Revelation 4 - 9 years ago
Jn. 1:1 - God WAS the Word; v. 14 - and the WORD was made flesh (incarnation) and dwelt among us - JESUS. Jesus IS God; 'Jesus' is God's N.T. name. And, no, God does not change, Mal. 3:6; the O.T. name Jehovah translates into Jesus in the Greek.
  • Jambita adusi tiny on Ezekiel 37 - 9 years ago
Glory, blessings and honour be unto him who sits on the throne in heaven.
Jehovah states clearly here that He will convert dry bones into mighty men.
The dry bones are life's disasters that have literally grounded you. Diseases. Wars. Persecution. Famine. Rejection. Despair. Injustice. Poverty.
God shall lift us up from all these but not before all hope is lost and only death is staring at us.

  • Irene123 on Revelation 4 - 9 years ago
Heb. 4:12 - the word of God 'cuts' you in that it convicts you of sin; even the very smallest 'white lie' - type sin, and it convicts you of the TRUTH of God's word - as opposed to deceits.
  • Irene123 on Revelation 4 - 9 years ago
God Bless You, Jason Craig, for seeing HIS truth when He shined HIS light on it for you. He knew you would see it - is why at this time He let His light shine. He knows when we'll be ready for His TRUTH.
  • Irene123 - 9 years ago
I am married to a non-submissive husband, and - it's not hard at all to love him because I loved him before I came to the Lord and since then He has put HIS love for my husband in my heart. That's one of His blessings He gives when we are filled with His spirit - Acts 2:38.
  • Matt on Revelation 6 - 9 years ago
The 4 horsemen represent the 4 hidden dynasties: religion (white); politics (red); the economy (black) and education (pale). Satan controls all of these through his children, the Kenites.
  • Funke on Job 2 - 9 years ago
Job's life teaches us how to be fruitful, when you take a stand in what u believe in the midst of challenges, his spouse even condemned him but Job took a stand and the devil don't like that! Job was rewarded for his faithfulness for he became exceedingly Fruitful.

  • BSP on Isaiah 65 - 9 years ago
The latter part of this chapter shows the blessings that the repentant remnant of Israelites enjoyed and it foretells the blessings that we can experience under the rule of God's Kingdom in the future.
  • BSP on Isaiah 64 - 9 years ago
This chapter shows that the Israelites were in a truly broken down state. They had damaged their relationship with Jehovah God and now they were reaping the consequences of their actions.
  • Deborah Morant on Psalms 91 - 9 years ago
I love reading it, it gives me great comfort
  • BSP on Isaiah 63 - 9 years ago
Verse 8 shows the confidence that God had in the Israelites. He had faith that they would remain loyal to him and choose the right course. God let them exercise their free will and some chose to use it in the wrong way. God gives us the same choice today and he has faith that we want to do what is right.
  • Steve on Proverbs 1 - 9 years ago
The principle thing is to get the fear of the Lord or wisdom fear is wisdom for without the fear of God no man departs from evil this is the message Solomon is trying to covey to the reader when you have that kind of fear or wisdom it will go well with you
  • A disciple on Matthew 14 - 9 years ago
Many follow the Lord Jesus for many reasons. Many of those same "followers" have almost as many ideas, who Jesus the Son of man is. But whom do you say that He is? Those same "many" were the ones whom the Lord said, "but to THEM it is not given (to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven)." Why? Why to some, and not to all? Because they do not convert! Their heart is calloused not to perceive.
  • Tim Ricker on Psalms 7 - 9 years ago
I am sitting in my sons living room in TX and reading in this chapter. It is such a blessing to know that God is in control. This week while shopping with our family one of the grand daughters came bouncing up to my wife and I. She was waving her arms and smiling and just having a great time. We both thought the same thing: she is care free and happy and unafraid the way we should be.
  • A disciple on 2 John 1 - 9 years ago
W, "How do you put up a fight against your desires of the flesh?" What is it in a man, who considers his ways, and turns to God and repents? that he will soften and change his mind and heart, to convert and to do no more sin? This is what is meant by "holding the beginning of our confidence steadfast unto the end;" that we don't let those things slip! Use force in your mind! Speak the Scripture!
  • Jennifer Harvey on Proverbs 2 - 9 years ago
In the end it's all worth it in trusting and obeying the Lord!
