Bless God for Jesus Christ, verse 28 of St.John chapter 14. Jesus reiterated the importance of his going away and that he shall return. Earlier in verses 2 and 3, Jesus tells the believers he goes to prepare a place for us in the Fathers house of mansions. And that bit of knowledge be all the more to keep and obey with love the commandments given.

This also shows that God was the author of the bible. And he told man not to add to his book or to take away from it so if we are to be his people we must be carfull what we say or quoat . also what we call his word and what we call his Bible he only wrote one.
  • Irene123 on Matthew 21 - 9 years ago
Noel - This comes from O.T. prophecy; Jesus is reminding the people of it; Ps. 118:22; Acts 4:10-11; the one in Acts will clear it up for you.
  • Irene123 on Acts 1 - 9 years ago
Dewey j - You pretty much misunderstood what I said. I've known the KJV for 50 yrs. (that's not a rebuke, just info' for you). What I said was - the name Pentecostal came from the day of Pentecost - when the CHURCH began, not when Pentecost began. If you will read it again you will see I did not say Pentecost began on that day in Acts. satan does play with our minds, even Jesus saints.

"Likewise also these [filthy] dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion, and speak evil of dignities...And of some have compassion, making a difference:and others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire;" It is very difficult NOT to be furious and hate some wicked kinds of people; but we have a commandment from God, and His Spirit to help us; and we don't let feelings direct our character.

Felicia, I agree with you: the real Miraim (Mary) was a great sister Believer! and not what the Papists have made her out to be, with their blasphemous and unclean idolatries! She knew where Jesus came from, and it often said about her; that she kept the things said about Him, and pondered them in her heart. This is something every sister in the Lord can take as an example. She was a Saint.

"Though thou shouldest bray a fool in a mortar among wheat with a pestle, yet will not his foolishness depart from him." Prov. 27:22 In other words; you could grind [some kind of] people to powder, with goodness and righteousness and divine influence; and still they will be as ugly, hateful and hostile to the Spirit of God and of our Lord Jesus Christ. What must God do, to ever have a holy people?
  • BSP on John 14 - 9 years ago
Jesus is the only way that we can gain access to our heavenly Father, Jehovah God. We need to closely examine the way Jesus lived his life and strive to imitate his example as closely as possible. We also need to approach God in prayer through the name of Jesus Christ.
  • John on Psalms 91 - 9 years ago
May Jesus Christ save my soul. May he testify on my behalf to the father. For in these words I find hope and I am in grave spiritual need.

  • Margaret on Jude 1 - 9 years ago
V22 defines compassion. It is not sentimentality, sympathy or pity. Genuine compassion makes a difference to the one it is directed towards. Sometimes we are not in a position to make a difference practically, yet we Christians are never helpless, because we can always pray and intercede. Prayer for others is compassion in action, and it always makes a difference.

  • Margaret Merryweather on Song of Solomon 1 - 9 years ago
It is utterly beautiful, and utterly pure. The world cannot understand such a pure love. It is only when we know Jesus, and as we grow in our love relationship with Him that we can begin to understand such beauty and purity, and the more we understand it, the more our marriages and family life will thrive and prosper, and reflect the beauty and purity of Christ, and be a witness for Him.

  • Irene123 on Exodus 15 - 9 years ago
A long time ago a woman asked if Pharoah died in the Red sea. Ex. 15:19 is the closest answer you are going to get. And, as with all scripture, you can twist it around to mean what you want. God authors His word this way, to give you free will to serve Him or not. We have such power OVER Him; we can stop Him in His desire for us to turn to Him by - not turning to Him.
  • Robert DeHaan on John 8 - 9 years ago
Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day, and he saw it, and he was glad. I too will rejoice on that great and glorious day, when I will see my Blessed Savior. I long for the day when every knee will bow, proclaiming the truth of the victory at the cross and a new life in Christ was given to me! Yeshua longs to know us and to experience his deep abiding love. Thank you, Abba Father.

"; 2 Cor. 13:1 - " ..... in the mouth of two or three witnesses ..... "; 1Tim. 5:19.
