The "unfaithful man" in vs 19 speaks of the "old self/man" that Paul refers to in Eph 4:22-24. He is the "sense ruled" man. A person that only trusts in and relies on that which he can experience with the five senses will be unproductive (like a broken tooth or foot out of joint) and will have no rule over his spirit (vs 28). When a man rules his spirit, all things are possible.

The old wineskins represent the Torah and the prophets. The new wineskins is the emergence of the High Priest, Jesus, who came as Moses proclaimed, preaching the Word and healing by miracles. Most rebuked him, but he was the fulfilment of the scriptures. The Messiah, whom the people of that day rejected, nevertheless remained true to his calling and in his devotion to the Father who sent him.

Vs. 6 If we truly love Jehovah then we will make an effort to serve him whole souled. Sometimes our fleshly desires work against us, but we must put up a fight to resist them. BY doing so, God can bless us, and we can have a free flow of Holy Spirit.

God has reconciled all things to Himself through Jesus Christ. Jesus is that 7!

Bridgette, my condolences for your father. May the Lord keep you close always, and give you to know His comforts. There will be times when you may be able to help others, like the Lord has helped you through sad and difficult times. Irene, have you not read the part where the Lord Jesus warns against blasphemy of the Holy Ghost? This terrible warning of eternal damnation concerns those who said Jesus had an unclean spirit; and who were NEVER saved Christians! You spend a lot of time "instructing" others; but the foundation and building of understanding knowledge of the Spirit of Truth must be irrefutable as Whom we speak for.

God is great . He lay down his rules for us to follow . All we need to do is be faithful and love each other . God is not mock and he is looking out for us . Take heed and let God leads you

Bridgete I'm Andy and you saying that you lost your Father,remember forever you didn't lost him because He is with you will be forever and remember the Father Almighty always and forever LIVES and never don't die because God is not human being,He is the Holy Spirit from the beggining and forever.
That mean that your Father as well still alive and His in Heavens with the Holy Angels

Steve morrow you know why the law is not made for people of faith? Because the just live by faith. If the spirit of G-D is leading you he will never lead you into sin. That is why I believe a man can walk in perfection. If Jesus said, "be ye perfect, even as your Father in heaven is perfect." It must be possible...consider yourself dead but alive unto the L-RD!!!

A few verses before this one says : I know how to be abased and I know how to abound : I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me : I can be able to be abased when I need to and I can be able to abound when comes my way : Not with a haughty attitude !
