  • A disciple on Genesis 38 - 9 years ago
Comparing these two chapters (38, 39), what instructions can we take from these two very different men? They were brothers according to the flesh, but one was righteous and one was evil; one was mistreated and hated, and the other was a friend of the world and a fornicator. It shows also, how that Christ came in the flesh, but not according to the flesh: spiritually Jesus was NOT a son of Judah.

We see the heathen rage specifically in these moments in time as they take to the streets protesting the rights of some as the unborn are continually slaughtered under the same morality as those who march . They hide behind self righteousness and know not GOD. But God is not mocked...Galations 6:7
  • Mild Bill on Psalms 5 - 9 years ago
Irene, Look up the tetragrammaton. Early Hebrews revered the name of God and would not pronounce it. Instead they would say Adonai The Lord, or HaShem The Name. While we have a different approach to him than Israel, reverence is still due to his name.
  • Scott on Ezekiel 37 - 9 years ago
That all seems pretty clear to me, David is a type of Jesus Christ. This chapter has nothing to do with you or anyone, unless they are Jews. You all need about one hundred pages a day Bible study. That is just it.
  • Lilian on Matthew 28 - 9 years ago
Jesus himself is a word of God. God our Father sent his only begotten Son Jesus Christ becoz of his love to us John3.16 so that you and me will have life in abundance. Jesus came to fulfill the Scripture and paid the price for us by his blood we are pardoned Jesus wants us to be his disciples and have obedience to his words. If we love Jesus will keep his commandments. Praise you Jesus Amen
  • Bryce on 2 Maccabees 15 - 9 years ago
This book is very interesting historically, but it is not profitable for doctrine. It is not part of the Bible. Look at chapter 12 on praying for the dead. Don t think that just because a book is ancient or sounds stylistically similar to the Bible that it is the Bible.

  • Bryce on Tobit 1 - 9 years ago
This book was not part of the Bible because it teaches false believes that are in contrast to the rest of the Bible, such as burning incense and ashes to get rid of demons. WHAT?

  • Jean-marie Gaugo on Matthew 28 - 9 years ago
This is a mission of salvation ordered by Jesus, it must not be neglect because of this mission depend the growth of the church. If we go not and teach not all the nation all the men and women we keep our neighbors from salvation, and we obey not to Jesus. We must go everywhere and teach the gospel to get many souls to Jesus. Baptism is a mark of god's covenant with the one who accept Jesus in his life baptism must follow the decision to follow Jesus. And it is good to baptize sying: "in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost" as Jesus said.

It is important to recognize God in his purity.that is why we are given a second chance through salvation.it is then important to reach out to christ through getting born again or receiving salvation and at this point one becomes free and can freely take the Lords table.sin separets us from the Lord and and hence unworthy to partake of His table.if we do it we bring judgement upon ourselves.

To losing faith - Matt. 17:20; You have faith; it can GROW; IF - you use it. Using it also means - waiting, because He knows when to answer, Ps. 37:7 - rest in the Lord and wait patiently for Him. Also before v. 7 it says, commit thy way unto the Lord. Are you walking in His ways - and not your own? If we're alright with Him - He will answer.

I just did the trivia question; I said 'Jesus'; it was satan. I had heard in church the devil knew the Bible better than we did; now I know where that comes from. It was Jesus tho' that said in Ps.19:11.
