  • Irene123 on Exodus 23 - 9 years ago
Ex.23:2 - "Thou shalt not follow ....." To follow a multitude, whether they are PLANNING on evil - or not - is foolish. Because - you do not KNOW what will happen in a crowd. That's why there are ALWAYS law enforcement at ANY gathering. Christians do not follow the world's people; we PRAY for them.
  • John c. Balcom on Psalms 23 - 9 years ago
Its comforting to me knowing the Lord is there and he's always been there. Some people have to be in my life he's always been there sometimes we just don't realize and dig deep in our hearts you will find what you're looking for the Lord is always there you have to just want him into your heart. So many times in their life we were so caught up in the everyday grind if we don't stop to give thanks.

To Barbara on 'Christian' commandments - ALL the O.T. commandments that were FULFILLED IN JESUS are Christian? Those are the 'moral/ ones. The ceremonial ones that applied to the Levitical temple service were abolished in Jesus. The 10 commandments are moral. and common sense, such as - a 'white' lie is STILL A LIE. There is no such thing as a white lie. Common sense.

To Coral G. Brown - As to the 'words' in Ex. ch. 20 - It says 'kill'. Now you need to go to Num. ch. 35. It tells ALL about accidental and intentional 'killing' and 'murder'.

When I think of the goodness of Jesus; I can't help but to thank him for providing me a place of refuge and protection through situations, conversations and the many ventures that he takes me through on a daily basis. Angels lift me, no harm to me, my family, home or anyone within my circle of life. I live in him, for him and he gives me long life and salvation. Thank you Lord foe everything.

  • Stephende on Exodus 15 - 9 years ago
Moses is called The Man of God, teaching the very words of God for commandments. Jesus is called the Son of God, exhorting other to follow him. Moses was honored in that he humbled himself always. Jesus obeyed the Father even experiencing death to do his will. These honored God as One, without a partner. Do you who profess a triune know that the Father is not divided. Honor his messengers

    Verses 13-16
Isn't it a blessing to set our love upon the Lord and to know His name? Then He will deliver us He will set us on high We'll call upon Him and He will answer us He will be with us in trouble He will honor us And with long life will He satisfy us and show us His salvation. Lord Jesus, you are good to us! May your name be praised From everlasting to everlasting you are God Amen!
  • Karl on Exodus 20 - 9 years ago
to Coral - it is confusing isn't it? Not just the question regarding the translation from Hebrew, but also that specific commandment. My take on it is they're both right, the KJV translation is reverentially accurate, not always perfectly literal but reverentially correct. The second part of your question, tough one, the answer can only be distilled from the entire text of the bible - any help?
  • Bruce on Romans 2 - 9 years ago
James 1:22 but be ye doers of the word and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. 2:18-- show me thy faith without thy works and I will show thee my faith by my works. Let's reach the lost while its still day. Romans 13:12.

John: Thank you John for your testimony. We are the light of the world! Most churches are in a sea of darkness! If others can see Christ in us then there's hope they can get off the Broadway.

    Amen!!Amen!!
Nobody but the Lord and put your faith and trust in Him. All things are possible according to His will and purpose for our lives. My biggest problem is letting go and give it all to Him the only one that know everything about us the good and bad. On this day I am letting go for I know you will never leave me or forsake me. I pray for your grace and mercy .
