Jesus here assured his disciples that they would receive the power of the holy spirit in order for them to continue the preaching work. That same spirit is needed today in order to preach the good news. We should ask God for holy spirit when we pray.

I cannot understand how we can study verses 36 to the end of chapter 5 and read what Jesus is telling the Jews and yet have people assuming they're the "chosen" people. Just as in chapter 8 He's telling them that they can never understand the word of God that's given to the true Israel. At verse 43 He tells them; I know you and you have not the love of God in you! A horrible incrimination!

This chapter reminds me of Matt 6:31 'Seek first the Kingdom of God and his righteousness and all things shall be added to you'. When we put the things of God first, then we shall prosper. I believe that when we neglect to worship God and give of our tithes and offerings we are never satisfied. No matter what we try to achieve it will come to naught without putting God first in our lives.

Chronicles is a tough book, but it also is a great time line - when you really learn to study it.

To Tom Gen. 2 is an account of what God did in Gen. 1. Gen 2:1 says "Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them." I agree with a change of heart we can serve the Lord more serious when our heart's and minds are cleanse thats the only way to come to the lord.

As far as the dung is concerned, God says right there that he would allow 'cow's' dung in place of human. But, Jeremiah - building a model city and using things to represent a siege; he was a true Man of God. Can you imagine the scoffing and ribbing he took, yet he ignored it all. This is our example for these days; that "having done ALL - to stand!!" We must persevere to win at least one soul

Nobody mentioned the watchmen - vs. 17 - 21. These vs. really bring out the duties of the pastorate.

To Rev. Autrey - I do not say this 'condemningly', but as an observation. I am not judging, as I believe you are a One God believer - and His Name one - Jesus ( Acts 2:38). But, God has revealed Himself in 3 Manifestations, not personalities, of Father (God), Son (redeemer), Holy Ghost (comforter). The ONE Name of all 3 - Jesus - Matt.28:19 and Acts 2:38, 4:12, and on and on.

To Ch. Fiorruci - how do I receive the Lord Jesus Christ for my eternal salvation? What do I need to do?

I and my family read this psalms every morning; because it's our pillar. God is great always.

V. 11, goes with 2 Chr. 7:13, and MANY others. The eastern, southern states of USA are in a drought, as the western states. Droughts are common to the west; until some wks. ago I had NEVER heard of droughts in the eastern, southern states. Jesus is talking.

V. 9 (last half) - "..... that they may call upon the Name of the Lord, to serve Him with ONE consent." Acts 2:38; Acts 7:59 (and saying, Lord JESUS.....). Stephen called GOD - Jesus; just as Thomas did in Jn.28:20 - my LORD and my GOD; he said this to - Jesus. He was a Jew, just like Jesus; Jews did NOT believe in plural gods. Nor did Jesus rebuke Thomas.

Acts 2:37. They asked what must we do to be saved. The reply was and is, repent and be baptized. Matt. 4:17, Jesus started preaching, Repent for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. We surrender to Him. He blesses us as we walk with Him.

Vs. 1-5 - are speaking of the plan of God's future repentance for us. The filthy is our sin, the change of raiment is our new man - free from sin.

I was listening to the radio when Psalms 91 was mention so I read it and wow this is what I've been searching for the last two years I've struggled with a marital situation that nearly destroyed me Through these difficult times the enemy stayed on me continuously I really thought I had to fight my battle or what I thought was my battle then along came psalm 91 and my life is back on track
