Amen bro S. Spencer. The Old Covenant ended at the Cross, as Jesus brought in the New Testament in His Blood ( Luke 22:20). The Old may have ended, but God's Promises to Israel still stands sure and they will be preserved as He promised ( Jeremiah 31:31-36; and particularly vv 35 & 36, where God's Promise is that the ordinances of the moon, stars & seas would have to fail first before Israel is cast away as a nation before Him.

Yet, the vail, till today, continues to cover their eyes as they read the Old Testament, chained to the Old Covenant. But when the heart is turned to the Lord Jesus, that vail of blindness will lift off, and the Light of Christ and His Gospel will shine on them and give them liberty from the Law & the sin it reveals, and embrace only Christ who sets free ( 2 Corinthians 3:13-17). Understanding Dispensationalism by the covenant promises.

I believe the new covenant started after the resurrection. of christ.

I believe the church started to form at Pentecost.

I believe the old covenant ended after the crucifixion of Christ.

I believe James and the other Apostles went after the scattered and lost sheep of Israel announcing that the messiah has come and to bring in the new covenant to them.

The Kingdom gospel, it was never meant to be a Gospel of salvation as they thought.

The good news to them was Christ would some day come and restore the Kingdom.

    However, It was postponed!

What they didn't know was that Christ would first come and destroy it by way of the cross and salvation would go to the Gentiles. Amos 9:8-10

All the preaching during Christ ministry was under the old covenant.

There were promises God made to Abraham concerning the Davidic Kingdom hadn't been filled yet.

The Prophet's prophesied a second coming.

    Isaiah 11:10-11.

    Hosea 5:15.

Notice the sequence here In Acts 15:13-16 as James quotes from Amos 9:11

"And after they had held their peace, James answered, saying, Men and brethren, hearken unto me:

Simeon hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name.

And to this agree the words of the prophets; as it is written,

"After this" I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up:

James says "After this" I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David. ect ect..

    This parallels Romans 11:25.

This is a kingdom after the call out of the church.

The Lord will gather his people Israel".

Here's the activity in that gathering.

    Amos 9:9-10.

    Blessings.

    2 Thess.2.11 "Strong Delusion"

"And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:"

St Paul could be specifically referring to our present times. Heresies are flowing into the heart a cesspool of catchphrases and failed dreams so Making a nation great again like giving a new lease of life to the monster from the swamp. Go, west young man was a cry we heard. How the west is doing as the cancer in the south is spreading into vitals of the nation. One might call this manifest destiny of being false to God and man. "And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved." It is a strong delusion so we see lie parading as truth. It is a Carnival time!

The Law has set seven days, a whole number to keep the simple and prudent from harm. They fight their own battles from the armoury of God. "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."(Eph.6.12)Satan has invested in the seven heads of the beast. Each head is a lie tried as a mantra to make the nation great. How did the Eugenics program fare. For that matter the Red Scare of the 50s? Then there was this domino theory that with the Red's running over Hanoi all other nations will topple down like dominoe. Then we have had chicken hawks. Oh my strong delusion and it now breaking fresh grounds, all the way to the lake of fire and brimson.

    Gerald,

God is in control and all his promises are yea and Amen in him; so he that is in the light, let him shine and God knows who are His. Woke or antiwoke, Satan has his sons and they shall hate the light because their works are evil.

"But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one." Jesus pointed what we are; We are kings and priests. Sword is our badge of honor in the kingdom of light. Garments of praise and salvation is on the house. (Lk.22.36)

Thank you Lbooth1955 for your answers; and yes, they do greatly help in knowing your position in this matter. It was in an earlier post of yours, I thought to have detected a different position of the saved from Israel to that of the saved from the Gentiles. So, needed clarification on it, lest in any future posts from you on this subject, I may easily make an incorrect assumption, and we know the probability of correctly assuming one's beliefs when something is unclear, can often be wrong. And I always try to get the 'foundation slab' correct, so the building being erected is at least on a solid footing. So thanks again & we can close this my inquiry to you. Blessings.

    A further thought

The second major factor of those who have dreams or visions is how rarely I hear people in these testimonies concerning CURRENT suffering in the world related to war; famine and plague or that of other believers suffering persecution today.

An individual testimony seems a lot like clickbait here; and no doubt the structure of sites online know what draws people.

I pray on this site we can continue to keep some of these things in mind as well. Again it is a balance between those who basically give believers no respect or are downright ambivalent but are for all sorts of social causes; and those who are believers with correct doctrine who are only focused on spiritual matters and aren't active enough in trying to be the hands and feet of Christ and helping the poor and persecuted. Let us all remember the suffering persecuted church today.

In light of my other posts let us be thinking people related to scripture in great detail. Most are contributing to this site with that focus in mind; and aren't drawn into lengthy things related to what I'm discussing with subjective experiences.

The problem as I see it is not having a deep personal spiritual communication and life with our Saviour. I haven't met anyone here as far as I know personally but feel I know a few at least better than those I do know. I would venture to say many are as it were with wounded and shattered souls and the reward comes from continued faithfulness despite that. I may be the only one here who could; if the thought festered drawn to anger over that idea. God takes the broken pieces and as it were makes a jewel from it. (see Malachi 3:17). In contrast those in the world who are brazen; bold and outwardly strong in reality have no life in them.

Waiting for the world to respect the saints of God is a fool's venture. They indeed may praise good works but only if they see God in it through divine revelation ( Matt. 5:16). Let your light shine.

Getting ourselves out of the way so that God can work.

One of the more subtle ways the enemy can exploit our weaknesses is when we develop an exterior appearance of righteousness because of say; we go witnessing on a regular basis as an example. This can be a slippery slope; because we certainly don't want to be poor examples of professing believers if we spend much of our time doing things such as watching inappropriate films or music; compromising in relationships; etc and then preaching how we should be living the "Christian" life. Nonetheless; we can be too caught up in presenting ourselves as walking all day in all sorts of Christian actions and feeling self righteous. I sense this is part of the meaning of praying in your closet as it were; it doesn't mean we never have corporate prayer but in some ways it is like a gift; something valuable that at times remains most precious when we see answers to matters kept between God and ourselves.

Going through my own traumatic experiences with divorce last decade and more recently with my mother passing and my Dad in a facility with Dementia; it is ok to mention God's faithfulness but not edifying if I don't do more listening to others than talking; whether witnessing or among Christian friends. Getting ourselves out of the way of course relates to our whole life; perhaps even more so in those "ordinary" moments when we have free time and limiting time with entertainment and things not productive for the Kingdom. I am still working on this being a more frequent discipline in my own walk.

This sort of ties into my last couple postings; as so much goes on with personal testimonies that is suspect and the primary thing is the concern I have with people who only seem to focus on themselves. How refreshing it is if someone can talk about their wife or husband; or other believers and what they have learned more then themselves (I am preaching to myself here as well). (Phillipians 2:3-4).

More on Scripture as the backbone of our testimony

As stated in the last post the enemy has to use enough truth to bait people; especially those who are truly saved. If there wasn't danger of deception we wouldn't be warned about it. Sadly I have found many times lately some good scriptures and testimonies of individuals only to find out they are in a church fellowship that is clearly unbiblical; and often followed by dangerous beliefs that become apparent after a while. Again as my last post stated it seems to me with the discernment He has given me that expounding on deeper meanings of scripture itself is a genuine aspect of these gifts; there is no need to add to scripture therefore with our own dreams or visions. I myself have had what you may call visions but with few dreams but again it just showed me what things like the mark of the beast mean; specifically the evil behind it. The supernatural realm is the same today as it was yesterday and will continue to be whether it is fallen angels or God and His angels as their fates are now all sealed.

I wanted to attempt to illuminate the topic of the Tribulation here; and pray the Lord gives me the words.

We can look at Revelation as to the aspect on earth; that in heaven (or 3rd heaven) and that in the 2nd heaven (such as when Satan falls in Revelation 12 with his angels after being defeated by Michael and his angels). In the Spirit there is a connection as it were between these dimensions along with; of course hell beneath the earth. I feel compelled again particularly with Revelation but of course related scripture especially Daniel to implore people to read these texts until understanding comes.

It seems not enough are doing this; and there is more than enough there that we don't need further fanciful or descriptive experiences; I am not saying someone can't have some insight; dream or vision but it has been sensationalized over the Word.

Thanks for your attention to this matter

Truth and error: The convergence of events in time

In keeping with the theme of lies becoming closer to the truth when predictions are made as to coming events; it is clear to the world and no doubt to the powers of darkness that the end times are close at hand. Much of the church; conversely is asleep on the matter by and large.

The first matter I have covered in earlier posts; related to false visions and dreams particularly related to heaven and hell; but of course lately with the Rapture furor with the upcoming Rosh Hashanah. I would be amiss not to note the trumpets being broadcast on live tv for the first time from Israel; and a report that seems to indicate there were remains of ashes of 9 red heifers thus the "practice" session with the 10th may indeed have been the real deal; setting up the upcoming 3rd Temple events. The Lord indeed could come that day; or any other day for that matter; and despite all the efforts of man the Lord could delay it and this could be something we see again say next year.

That being said; I have often found it perplexing why the actual events depicted in the scriptures related to the appearance of heaven; or hell for that matter; the Antichrist beast and other specific prophetic events to come can't be the focus instead of a few references tangential to someone's supposed experience in the supernatural. Such things such as the vast expanse of the crystal sea; or the angels as described in Revelation are dramatic enough; not to mention anyone who truly has a vision of Christ in His glory being flat on their faces. The appearance of the true Christ when He arrives at the Second Advent is clearly differentiated from men's claims (see Matt. 24:26).

So called hell experiences also seem to show a God who isn't sealing His children and giving any assurances that His children remain His children. The most important thing perhaps is that the enemy has to give enough truth to bait someone. Read the Word first.

    Continued :

For how then can there be so much confusion ? Has the Holy Spirit not come? Or no longer leads men " into all truth"? Or is it more likely that men no longer rely on Jim for understanding but rather upon their own?

Perhaps that is why He is outside the church knocking on its door? Rev 3+

With so many 'versions' with their 'better understanding' " All we like sheep have gone astray each going his own way ?

I do not pretend to know or understand everything about what is called the rapture and the Bride but this I do know it's the false idea that as soon as we are BORN again we are automatically in the Bride . There are too many scriotures that deny this .

In types shadows and direct teaching .

The confusion about tribulations and " the great tribulation is another".

" In this world you shall have tribulation " saud Jesus but the time of " great tribulation " God has shortened the number of days else no one wouid be saved.

The great tribulation is when the spirit of antichrist is given free reign and thecworld will see the rise of the antichrist .

I hold to fact that it is in the Bride whos "vessels are full" of the Holy Spirit that is presently holding back and restraining thst unholy spirit . But as soon as she has gone all restraints are gone .

I also hold the Bride if Christ will be despised and rejected by her brethren ( carnal) that thecLord who is coming FOR His bride will not let her see the full corruption of this earth even as the Lord did not see it in the grave .

For like Joseph who mirrored thecLords life in so many ways even to being already married when he revealed himself to his brethren the second time .

Every true born child of God is calked to that " high calling" you are qualified " to run the race" it does not " win us the prize"

The rapture happens before the outpouring of Gods wrath upon the earth .

Even as Enoch was translated before it in " the days of Noah who while counted righteous was saved through it.

I find it appalling that the church is filled with mens opinions on this matter rather than knowing the truth .

For was not the promise given that when the Holy Spirit of truth shall come ,He will lead us into all truth? How is it then that the church does not know the truth of this most important matter? For the Lord said even to his close dis poles who walked with Him on earth " be ye also ready" for is it not written "the Bride has got herself ready"?.

And it is clear they thought his return was imminent then . But in Hebrews it is written that " God has at sundry times and in divers manners spoken to us in times past but " in these last days has spoken to us bybHis Son." If they were the last days 2000 years ago how much the more are we in them now .? Indeed on the way to Calvary the Lord said to some weeping women " if they do this to the master when the wood is green what will they do to the servants when it is dry@"? Truly the wood now is very dry and ready for the fire .

I nce spoke to some theological students of a college in London and they told me how they were taught all the different opinions of men some of which you related to in yiur pilots of what goid is a man's opinion? It's the truth we need!

Therefore may I suggest the primary cause is an over reliance on man's own thinking and understanding subjecting the s ruptures to our own tninking rather than let the Holy Spirit lead us . For I hold to the principle or fact that as the same Holy Spirit was needed to inspire men what to write so in and by the same measure men need the same Holy Spirit to help us understand what is written . For Saul of Tarsus hadHebrew as his mother tongue ,he spoke Greek too etc but did he understand the scriptures? No!

But so misunderstood them he persecuted the church .

The harasses and Drs of the law understood Hebrew ore than most yet did they understand the scriptures? NO! They so did not understand the scriptures they crucified Him of whom they spoke of.

I will pray for God to bring relief from arthritis in your joints. I have the same thing in most joints from my feet to my neck. Most days I get by o.k. but if I do too much work that overuses one or several joints I get into more pain. So, I hear ya!

We can keep one another in prayer in this respect.

And, the situation of Mr. Kirk's murder is terrible and we should certainly be praying for his family and friends. Glad that he is a believer and will inherit the promises Jesus bought for us who believe.

I believe some of the key elements in that important topic is what covenant was in order when Christ started his ministry?

    Who was it to?

What was the promises given in that covenant?

Was the second covenant a plan B?

and of course "Could both covenants save?

I'll set back and share my thoughts soon.

Hey dear "Handmaiden12363", (now a light has come on, for me). Not exactly any shortcuts on that. But how about starting and reading in the New Testament, then you will meet Jesus, He will also explain Himself in the scripture. And if you stay here and read "become a Christian". If you don't have a Bible, you can read it for free here, the oldest King James and a regular one from today, easy to read and very popular. What I can help you with today is the story of Jesus raising Lazarus from death, he had been dead for four days. Joh 11:38-44 Welcome back in Jesus' Name, see u

    Hello Gerald,

Thank you, this is my understanding.

I understand many believe in the rapture, some say pre, mid, or post. In all three views, we are taken to heaven. I have not found any Scripture that explicitly states we are taken to heaven; it is an assumption, and it must be read where it is not written. I don't see the bride mentioned in the rapture doctrine; that's another discussion.

I see the coming of Jesus not as a secret event, but as one the world will witness. This is supported by Scripture: Matthew 24:29-31, 1 Corinthians 15:51-54, 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17, and Revelation 19:11-16. This event occurs after the seventh angel sounds the last trumpet, Revelation 11:15. Then, we see the angel summoning the birds for the battle of Armageddon.

The ones in the first resurrection, Revelation 20:4-6, will be with Jesus during the battle, Revelation 17:12-14. Afterward, we observe the judgment of those in the first resurrection, Revelation 20:4.

A thought, over the past nearly 2000 years, believers in Christ, the body of Christ, the Church have faced beheading, burning at the stake, being placed on poles soaked in oil, lit as lamps along roads, among other horrible deaths. Why would the last of the Church be spared? We have been told we will face much tribulation, and if we endure, Matthew 24:9-13. The Great Tribulation and the wrath of God are not the same.

    God bless,

    RLW

Hi "Cannondorothy12", this website is a real King James. Many people come here and speculate on a lot. Some get answers right away, and others may have to wait a little. You are welcome to study the KJV here and now. Hope you have done so. And it's completely free to be here and read, provide input, and ponder things. I am not the administrator here, but I am grateful that I can be here and share, read and know that there is good advice in this world. It is here. You are welcome in Jesus name, I am personally a Christian. Hope you are too, see u, Amen

You coukd also add that the rapture of the Bride is the first fruits .

The salvation of men both Jew and gentile during the great tribulation is the main harvest . And the salvation of men after and during the time when the devil is loosed for a season are the "gleanings".

For during the millennium all nations will be ruled with a rod of iron nd be forced to conform but after a 1000 years of righteous rule over the whole earth and all the benefits that flow from that ,Satan is listed fir a season so that all will be free to make their decision . Then cometh the end . For all are gathered in that will be gathered in and those who prove to be the children of the devil the seed of the serpent will be utterly destroyed and cast into the lake of fire .

Then there will be a new heaven and a new earth and all that offended will have been cast out .

It is interesting to note ,that the earth was first baptised with water ,then with blood then with fire .

"I will build my church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it "

" Unless God builds the church them that build build in vain "

The tabernacle in the wilderness was not of Moses own making and imagination but rather it was after the latter he saw in heaven and thus Hods blueprint . Not man's .

It was of such exactitude that any deviation from it brought death .

How can any man learn the Holyness of God if not by it?

" and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it" Somehow ithas crept into the churches thinking that it's the gates of hell attacking the church and not prevailing that has taken hold of the people of Gods Indo .

But when has ANY gate attacked snyone?. We are talking about the dates of a walked city here . The gates being the weakest part of the wall are thus the most heavily guarded .

I don't all together understand what that phrase means . But this is certain it is the gates of hell that are in trouble not theChurvh of Jesus Christ .

This though is true . Adam if he had not eaten of 'that'tree would never have died. Jesus could not die nor could "anyone take His ife from Him" But being born under the Law and for sin laid down his life.

Now the death has a sting and it is sin "and the piwer of sin is the Aw " Death couid not keep him out for " He who knew no sin became sin" " open up ye gates.." Death and hell could not keep Him in for he had not sinned Himself .Thus God couid raise aHim from the dead having fulfilled the law .

He tasted death for every man and took out the sting of death . Are we not " Crucified and buried with Christ"?

Is it not written we are raised together with Christ also?

His witnesses must be to His resurrection and a transformed life by not being dead but alive unto God and the darkness over cometh it not . Fir sin has no more dominion over you in Christ . And He in you.

For what is MORE than a conqueror ?

    Hello T-rex,

Good to hear from you once again.

The murder of Charlie Kirk is a terrible event. He was not an elected official, but a citizen expressing his political and religious views, for which he was assassinated. That is chilling for the rest of the citizens of this country. It could happen to anyone who speaks their own mind on such topics. It could happen on "both sides of the aisle".

Let's keep the Kirk family and friends in our prayers and not let this incident deter us from exercising our civil liberties and rights lawfully guaranteed. But exercising our rights does come with risks, as this incident demonstrates. Therefore, not only courage is required when we speak up, but also and even more important is that we are led by the Holy Spirit in all we say and do in the midst of a perverse and wicked generation.

By nature that is all those born of Adam are " sons of disobedience " children of wrath" Paul says in Ephesians speaking to now Christian's and blessed with every spiritual blessing in Christ Jesus" that we all were as others are still .It is still true that" the heart of man is desperately wicked and deceitful above all others and who can know it".?

And if now we are any different it is because " God commanded the light to shine in our hearts" it is worth noting that in the beginning God commanded the light to shine in the darkness and THEN began to do a work of recreation of the earth .So

Likewise when God commanded the light to shine in our own hearts I then God begins to work in transforming our lives bring the order of the kingdom of God and it's peace where there was once disorder and chaos.

But it should be noted that exposure to truth changes no one but it is our response to it .

Thus as God through the Word enlightens our understanding not only of the nature of the old man but also of His nature we are by degree and measure changed and grow onto conformity with Him.

Not only repenting of what we have done but also what we are .

It was to some Christian's Paul said " ye are yet carnal" and to be carnally minded was death and "which could not receive the things of God" It was also to other Christians he prayed that " the eyes of their understanding may be opened" For while the devil may not be able to stop us being saved he can still blind us to what is " towards us who believe" or ours IN Christ .( Ephesians ).

We must know something of the resurrection power of Christfor how can we be BORN again without that power? But clearly Paul is speaking about far more " that is towards us" than we have yet to realise or understand .

For how much power does it take to raise the dead?

I don't think God broke into a sweat so to speak "when He raised Christ Jesus from the dead "
