"For then will I turn to the people a pure language, that they may all call upon the name of the LORD, to serve him with one consent."
Blessings from God from the greater to the lesser is covenanted for man in his Son. God refers to faith as the pure seech. God framed the worlds by his word and 'And the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech.'. (Gen.11.1)The Spirit instructs us from the life of Jesus what stood foremost in the doctrine of his Father. "Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven." Luke also refers to it. "(Lk.6.20) The Spirit is not repeating the obvious. He is setting the background for the Sermon in the plains instead. The rock serves as a symbol as the plains. The earth and the fulness therof belongs to God. God has appointed Jesus Christ as the heir. It is thus four synoptic gospels serve to highlight the Word was with God in relation to the Man according to the Covenant. The first four days in the covenant refer to the heavenly blessings and these are to whosoever believeth into his Son. "For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself."( Jn 5.26). So what does Jn.3.16 promise the believer to have life in himself. Those who stopped hort are the cursed while those who received entered into the God's rest and this faith makes his spirit pure. "Though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich."(2 Cor.8.9) In our physical lives we would rather not desire riches if that would prove to be a stumbling block for our abiding life. God has promised all things for life and godliness. This is what blessedness according to the word. Gospels as with the last book serves Jesus in terms of the law, so his parents observed the law."And when the days of her purification according to the law of Moses were accomplished," and "God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law."Gal.4.4;Lk.2.22)
Otherwise, you have 1 Cor 13 it may stand other places as well, i dont know.
Can i ask why you ask for it?
Love u in Jesus 1 Cor 1:4-9
In the last para, read this revised lines, " Third part of men belongs to those sons of perdition who refuses to enter into the God's rest. Compare the one third of stars,'And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth.' Three is a Command number for the Son."
"As thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee. And his servant was healed in the selfsame hour.'
Here the Spirit explains what it is be pure in spirit. The centurion believed,- and it was as with Abraham who believed, and was counted to him for righteousness. Before the patriarch could believe the Word was God. He was with God. So the Covenant in seven days had set provisions as to the time element. The Spirit annotates this verse, "He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions," by giving the Advent of the Word become flesh was 'in the fulness of time.'(Ps.107.20; Gal.4.4) The Spirit consequently presents Jesus of Nazareth simply as a man but in context of the Word and as anointed as fulfilment of the law.
How did the Gentile centurion could elicit such amazement? He was pure in spirit and saw faith as was in his Father's bosom.By the same token when Herod wanted to meet him only to invite Jesus say,"And he said unto them, Go ye, and tell that fox, Behold, I cast out devils, and I do cures to day and to morrow, and the third day I shall be perfected."( Lk. 13.32) He would not have cared for the scramble among the white evangelicals for a photoshoot with their POTUS. His spirit was pure and he knew what was in the mind of man. Is it an honour to be invited to look into the cesspool of a man though sealed in high places?
The Spirit presents Jesus Christ in terms of the hour so the servant is healed in the selfsame hour. In terms of the word sent forth the Spirit gives him another time frame. "To preach the acceptable year of the Lord" (Lk.4.19)
Compare with another time sequence God has laid down for Jesus Christ. "And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to slay the third part of men."(Rev.9.15) Third part of men belongs to thoe sons of perdition who refuses to enter into the God's rest.
The church has no light of its own it is not infallible some religionists claim for " it is not that light .."but bares witness of the .
light it is the " lesser light " that rules the darkness .
Is it not written that "His Life was the light of men"? If then He is our Life who now dwells in us we in our relationship with the Son have been made the light of the world ,chiodren of light .
Every church an Embassy of the Kingdom of God and every true born child of God an ambassador of Christ . And of that Kingdom that shall have no end for it is founded upon better foundations.
Jesus fulfilled the Law by dying under the law and for sin . We cannot obey the law but IN Christ we "uphold the law" in that we are made "conformable to His death " fir is it not written " We are crucified with Christ"? And also " buried with Christ"? You only bury a dead man . Thus I am crucified with Christ ,nevertheless I live ,but not I butChrist that liveth in me" .
The grace of God was in sending Jesus Christ to die for the sin of the world ,the " Lamb of God".
By the Law we stood condemned and if we seek to 'fulfill the law' we must fulfill all of the law . That is impossible .
But I say again we do however uphold the law .
Abel by his offering confessed his sin the righteousness of God and put his faith in the promised Lamb foreshadowed by his sacrifice and according to the pattern God laid down in the garden .
Cain on the other hand sought by his own 'good' works and by the " sweat of his brow" sought to establish his own righteousness by his own good religious works in doing so denied Gods righteousness and though by his own work it would outweigh his sin.
Thus he sought his own glory not Gods .
Calvary gives all the glory to God and not a jot to man . But in believing God and putting our faith in Him who God sent have the satisfaction of doing the right thing ( repenting) and finding that God is faithful to His Word .
In doing what He promised if we did so.
I only use KJV but "quote" it when I do . For reference . By memory mostly . But checkable .
All other versions while boasting in thrur "better understanding" actually prove they have less and in some cases don't know God .
They have corrupted the scriptures . Not that the Word of God can be corrupted but rather have taken the scriptures and subjected them to their own carnal thinking and "turned the truth into a lie".
The KJV on the other hand is quite another matter and has been tried tested and proved in the fires of much tribulation and has never been found wanting save by those who have " itching ears".
GB
"Though the LORD be high, yet hath he respect unto the lowly: but the proud he knoweth afar off."
God is a spirit. So anyone applying to God as poor or rich in terms of matter is applying false logic."Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven."(Mt.5.3)
Spirit is wisdom, and wisdom from heaven is pure. Like diamond of the first water it effaces itself in water. What Jesus meant was the spirit without guile. Transparency is another. He sends the other seventy disciples and in thier joy he could exult and that is joy given wings for sure."And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name."(Lk.10.17,21) Purity of the spirit is able to get into the heart of the matter. Joy of the disciples was in the name that cast out the demons from persons afflicted. Jesus rejoiced and he announces,"But rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven."
Notice that the Spirit uses the phrase, 'In that hour'? The seventy disciples represent all those whose names are written in heaven. Jesus rejoiced in spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes: even so, Father; for so it seemed good in thy sight. "
In that hour refers to the day of salvation as he uses in another context the hour to condemn his enemies. " but this is your hour, and the power of darkness."Lk.22.53)
While studying the gospels we need keep in mind that the Spirit is not giving the life of Jesus in a conventional narrative mode but as the word become flesh. In Mt1.17 we have the three sets of 14 generations which is 42 the same tag applied to the beast.'And power was given unto him to continue forty and two months'.(Rev.13.5) Day of salvation has its hour as darkness has his. In the same manner genealogy of Christ has its opposite number. They include 42 children of Belial, 2 Ki.2.22)
Having said that we can know by the scriptures the SEASON of His imminent return .
Those signs of the times and seethe season are clearly laid out in scripture and by the Lord Himself .
As it was in the days of Noah and of Sodom . Anyone going to the book of Genesis can find for themselves what the prevailing conditions were then so can judge if we are now.
The list of Paul in Timothy as to those " perilous times " is another indicator or barometer .
The Holy Spirits pressing for urgency with our spirit is another .
And if you consider that even the Apostles who did not know the hour but were sure it was close how much more then should we be? And when the Lord on the way to Calvary said if they do this to the master when the wood is green what will they do when it is dry?
And in Hebrews "God hath spoken to us in these last days by His Son "and that was 2000 years ago how much the more are we now in the last days?
All ths foolishness of predictions is but the enemy of our souls using carnally minded people to throw dust in our eyes so we get distracted enough to miss the boat .
The actual time is almost irrelevant the real issue is are we ready?
Someone spoke about the 5 foolish virgins their folly was presumption and primarily their vessels were not full of oil .
Too many have been misled into thinking if you are BORN again you are automatically in the Bride . This is not so for there are too many scriptures that teach other wise . For while ALL true born children of God are CALLED to that high calling not all will respond .
Enoch was translated ( a more accurate word) before the outpouring of Gods wrath upon the earth . But Noah was saved through it .
Lot was saved. But suffered loss as through fire but Abraham was nowhere near the place .
" If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?"
We shall now focus on the four gospels and the manner Jesus of Nazareth made the doctrine of God in terms of the doctrine of the Son of man. Jesus made it doable. This is the perfect gift heaven could bestow on the earth. The place name refers to the Word become flesh and he presented himseif by his offering on the cross. " For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified."(Heb.10,14)
Firstly blessings come from the greater to the lesser. Ultimate gift can consequently is what God the Father can give. secondly what is a gift if the reciever has no appreciation for it? Casting pearls with a liberal hand is indeed a waste if the recipient happens to be a swine. God indeed sanctified man in his Son so any man who believes shall know the perfect gift when one receives it.. Jesus Christ who of God has become sanctification for us. And wisdom as well. (1 Cor,1.30) What is this wisdom? "But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy."(Jas.3.17)
"Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning."(Jas.1.17) He who sanctified his Son has sanctified whosoever receives him in faith. Imposter churches teach: faith is enough and works are unnecessary.
What is a gift if it is unopened and exchanged for something else? It is how false teachers have shown their mettle.God's gifts they had to none effect.
"Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven." Jesus demonstrated how," In that hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth,(Lk.10.21).
The lady who I referred to giving wisdom about the Rapture also stated that it is a shame kids are being prompted to give dreams and visions. Quite often you see moms in particular trying to fish information with leading questions. I have yet to see one of these videos with a father and mother present; so it must be quite rare.
Now children are in the Lord's hands; and they can no doubt sense demons who frighten them at night on occasion; but as to discerning what is of the Lord or not as to a particular message it is not something except in rare cases we would expect. I won't say that it can't happen; but the problem is that if they are all supposedly predicting the same thing (in this case the Rapture) and are wrong are they going to apologize; or better yet if He delays you would expect at least ONE child or other person for that matter to have a dream or vision to that affect. IF they see something in that case it is guaranteed NOT to be the Lord; this is more than just putting pieces together as adults have done they usually don't have the scripture knowledge.
Anyway I don't want to beat this horse to death twice. I brought up the child artist now about 30 whose name I won't mention but was considered one of the best artists in the world who has drawn many pictures of what she said Christ looked like which you see OFTEN on videos online. She is new age in all her beliefs; despite her beauty; superior intelligence; articulate and polite mannerisms she has a false Gospel. In this case her parents were atheists so can't be blamed for falling into this deception. When she started at a young age you couldn't really prove anything but it serves as fair warning. It saddens me immensely to see these things happen; those who have talent and the enemy uses them. My ex wife also was very immature and naive and fell easily into Satan's trap.
May God claim His own.
RHP
Maybe I'm the only one here who has been frustrated as of late; and others here don't bother reading the endless postings online of those predicting you know when (Rosh Hashanah) that the Rapture is supposed to occur.
I need to prepare in case He comes tomorrow which certainly could happen; I do feel the Lord has told me to be alert this month.
Someone online mentioned that perhaps the foolish virgins are those who put all there hopes up now for a return on a certain date and that holds merit to me as the scripture mentions the bridegroom tarrying. Those all hyped up will have a downer if it is just emotions; and sadly few will retract their predictions; and even sadder is a person online who I have been friends with who now is saying "thus saith the Lord" and won't heed my warnings. I had a similar event with an author I wrote to who probably passed away about 20 years ago...
Now it goes without saying that we are to occupy until He comes. That involves doing the work of an evangelist ( 2 Tim. 4:5).
What it DOES not imply is finding all kinds of gematria and number associations everywhere between concordance references to the license plates of cars that pass by. Once that crap is discussed I'm outta there in terms of taking people seriously.
Sorry to vent; hopefully it helps someone.
This sounds like a no brainer but the focus should always be on scripture as there is a plethora of detailed prophetic statements there which we KNOW 100 percent will happen. If we start using human logic then we can say that He MUST come such and such a date as if we are in charge of things OR we say as others do that He can't come until the church has its act together or we have prepared the world by some sort of worldwide control which Dominionism preaches. Neither logic makes any sense.
I'm sorry if it seems too harsh here but that is just plain foolishness.
I'm glad no one here seems to be in either extreme.

And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness "unto the judgment of the great day."
This is what the Holy Spirit instructs us in the night vision of Daniel. "thousand thousands ministered unto him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him: the judgment was set, and the books were opened." From the POV of St John we are looking at the same book bound with seven seals. Here the Ancient of days embody the Law. The night serves as an adjective to the vision and we are looking at predestination at work. Two generations of light and darkness mentioned in Gen.1. 2.4 and under the cover of darkness the deep is a distinct place as the outer darkness from the POV of John is. These rogue angels are reserved but judgment is not yet executed.
" and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads." (Rev.123). This red dragon refers to the crooked serpent," By his spirit he hath garnished the heavens; his hand hath formed the crooked serpent./ Lo, these are parts of his ways: but how little a portion is heard of him? but the thunder of his power who can understand?" Job 26.13-14)The covering cherub was perfect in beauty but iniquity found in him marred everything. The power seat and authority of the beast comes from him. "and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns." Law of the Spirit sets the number of condemnation 10 so ten kings vying for one hour with the beast is hellbent for their perdition.
12.9 False teachers are compared to stars,'wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever." There was war in heaven when the devil is cast out his angels also are cast out and their work we seen even in our midst.Jude.v.10 "But these speak evil of those things which they know not:" Rapture, limited Atonement, Replacement theology!
The first being one time act of being 'born again'. By the Spirit of God and the Wird of God "
Never to be repeated . A reflection of the natural birth that is also once and never repeated .
"For man is born once to die then comes the judgement "
To be BORN again is to be crucified with Christ and buried with Christ . No man is buried who is not already dead .
Thus we are crucified with Christ ( by faith) and according to Gods Word ) nevertheless I live ,yet not I but Christ that liveth in me"
Thus whioe no man can fulfill the law and by the law we cannot be saved but rather are condemned . We do however " uphold the law" in that we the old man dies in Christ and is buried . We therefore uphold the law and our faith is in the work of God in Hesus Christ . "Resting from our works ( of the flesh) even as God did from His"
This work is a once ever work for having died to sin how can we then live in it?
And even as Jesus who once lived and then died once and for all so then we have passed from judgement unto Life .
For He died and was raised from the dead dies not again nor can and now " liveth forever more ":We then are to count ourselves dead to sin and alive to God " sin no longer having dominion over us .
But while we are BORN again by the Word and the Spirit of God and so now have life and "life more abundantly " to live that life we must be continually filled with the Spirit of God . Even as a new born baby has life yet needs must be filled with the breath of life to live that life . Is it not written that " In Him we move and have our being"?
The apostles were not only baptised in the Spirit on the day of Pentecost thatbis to say fully immersed in the Spirit which " filled the whole house" but the promise was given that He shall also abide IN you .
For in the Old Testament He came UPON people but did not rest upon them .
Now He needs must abide within us and as they be ye ( continually)filled "
The Law of Moses revealed our inadequacy-how despicable, miserable, and sinful our ways truly are. However, it did not provide the power to overcome these sinful tendencies; it merely exposed the problem. No one could perfectly keep the law ( Romans 3:12-20, Galatians 3:19, Romans 7:10). As Scripture says, all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God ( Romans 3:22, Galatians 3:20, Romans 7:13-14). Jesus Himself highlighted this when He said, "There is one who accuses you, even Moses, in whom you trust." This referred to the Law of Moses, which the Israelites relied upon, yet it only revealed their inability to live righteously ( John 5:45-46).
Grace came to assist those who were unable to keep the law, enabling them to fulfill it. Grace does not make the law void; rather, it establishes the law by empowering us to obey it. As Paul explained, "the righteousness of the law is fulfilled in us who walk according to the Spirit" ( Romans 8:3-4).
This principle is illustrated in the parable of the Good Samaritan. A traveler was wounded by thieves . The priests and Levites-representing the law-saw him but could not help. The Good Samaritan (Jesus), however, freely offered aid-representing grace-healing the man from his wounds, which symbolize sin. We partake in this grace by receiving the Spirit of Christ, which helps to walk according to the Spirit rather than our sinful flesh and desires.
The Holy Spirit of Christ is the Spirit of holiness. One cannot continue in sin and claim to possess the Holy Spirit. Grace delivers us from sin; it does not provide permission to remain in it ( Romans 6:1-2). Paul even warned against this attitude in Romans 3:8, where some falsely claimed that continuing in sin was a way of doing good.
In a previous comment, you emphasized the importance of properly considering a matter before speaking, so as not to appear as "fools." I wonder if perhaps the claim that Christ will reign with the saints on earth was rebutted too quickly, without sufficient consideration.
The 144,000 mentioned in Revelation 14:2-3 are described as the firstfruits of those saved in Israel after the rapture, as verse 14 clarifies. However, this does not imply that Christ will not return to earth with them. They will return together with all who have inherited salvation, as seen in Revelation 21:1-3.
It is also important to note that the New Jerusalem, symbolically represented as the Bride, represents the spiritual Church or body of Christ. This is supported in Hebrews 12:22, 2 Corinthians 11:2, Ephesians 2:19-22, 1 Peter 2:5, and 1 Corinthians 3:9. Only those who have received the Spirit of Christ are considered part of the Church of Christ ( 1 Corinthians 12:13, Romans 8:9).
This Church will return to earth and reign with Christ for a thousand years, as indicated in Revelation 20:4, Revelation 12:5, and Revelation 19:15.
As Elihu said in Job 34:22: "If you have understanding, hear this; listen to the voice of my words."
Please note that my words are not intended as insults or to cause offense, for that would not reflect the love that the Lord Jesus expects from us. Rather, my intention is to encourage careful consideration of matters from a biblical perspective, rather than relying solely on worldly opinion. As the Lord Jesus said, many teach the traditions of men as doctrine, and as Paul says, we can do nothing against the truth, but only for the truth.
While being of the utmost importance in this age of the church it is perhaps the most neglected .
In part because of the misconceptions and quite a lot of lazy thinking and teaching about the subject .
The premise that all born again chiodren of God are automatically in the bride being one of them . Based upon that ONE verse " the church which is His bride".
But the saying one swallow does not make a summer can equally apply to one verse does not make or prove a doctrine .
But rather we must look at " all scripture.".
To becBORN again qualifies us to " run the race" much like in the Olympics. It does not win us " the prize".
Every true born child of God is called to that " high calling" but it is our response and commitment to it for it is not exposure to truth that changes a person but our response to it .
Judas Iscariot never changed but out of the other 11 disciples only Peter James and John walked so closely with the Lord they saw and heard and did tnings the others did not . Yet the opportunity for all was the same .
They were all in the body and walked with the Lord but for whatever reason did not follow as closely as the three .
All were called 'few' were chosen .
It is a high calling . John the Baptist only considered himself " a friend of the groom" .
And at a marriage you have the bride and groom then friends etc who attend but still are not the bride .
The five foolish virgins were barred from thec" marriage" because of thrur false expectations and were found in consequence not " ready" . Did not the Lord tell His disciples " be ye also ready ."?
The five foolish we're not found ready and we're barred from the marriage " I know you not" unrecognisable as the bride. The wicked are barred from the KINGDOM with the words " I NEVER knew you".
Let us not be found not ready. all 10 virgins were asleep when the cry came " the bridegroom comes!"
But there were 5 who despite being found asleep we're still ready.
Note it was not Heaven that was in darkness but the earth . Gen 1:2
For that heaven needed no sun or moon for God was the light thereof .
It was the earth that was in darkness and needed heavens light .
And it was not God that was in darkness but man fir " God is light and in Him there is no shadow of turning "
Genesis 1:2 is the recreation of the earth . Genesis 1:1 was the primary creation of both .
The Spiritual and earthly . For all things were made by Him both visible and invisible .
The earth is the Lords .
And God is the "God of all flesh".
He did not need permission to bring about change and always brings light before He starts to work .
The Lord when He walked this earth did not seek permission either to go and do good .
And when challenged referred back to His Father and to what was written .
Man was created in the image if God but he is BORN in the image of Adam .
Thus " shapen in iniquity".
We are by the fall and because of Sin more children of darkness than we are of light . Though Man was created for the Light . Fir shine a light into a man's eyes conscious or not and his eyes will respond to it . Put a man in a place with no light for long enough and he will suffer . We were created for the light .
Did not God command the light to shine in the darkness ? Even of our own hearts ? Fir by nature we are " children of disobedience " children of wrath" which is why we MUST be BORN again not of that corruptible seed but if the incorruptible seed which is the Word of God":
The entrance of Thy Word bringeth light".
Then God begins to Work .
" But this is the condemnation said Jesus ."The light has come but men love darkness more than the light ".
To love your sin more than righteousness is ruin . All have sinned that is not so much the problem but rather it is the will.
God is not willing that any should perish." But that is His will.
A foreshadow is the shadow that comes before the substance but which gives an outline of that which is to come .
As. With other matters there are also foreshadows of the Bride of Christ so that we might get some idea of the characteristics nature and disposition of the bride so that we might recognise her. Nor be mistaken and deceive ourselves .
There are two which I would like to bring to the fore here.
The first is Joseph who's life so mirrored the Lords in so many ways it is a wonder to behold . Having been rejected by his brethren and sold fir 30 pieces of silver we find him a slave first in an Egyptian household then falsely accused and sent to prison where he again prospered ( fir God was with him) and finally became as it were Prime Mnister of Egypt second only to Pharaoh and the thing to note was he got married.before he revealed himself to his brethren the second time .
Moses was also rejected by his brethren though he had thought they would understand that God wouid hecwouid deliver them by his hand . He too got married before he revealed himself and Gods mission the second time .
It is worth noting that while he was correct in his understanding that God by him wouod deliver the children of Isreal he went about it all Wong . For it is not by power or by the might of Egypt or the world that will bring deliverance but " by My Spirit says the Lord " Something we the church still need to learn . No government of this world either has the power the will or the capability to bring about real change for the good.
Moses who was nice somebody ,God made a nobody s that he might become a somebody in Gods eyes .
But seeing that both were already married before their salvation so likewise the Bride will already have been caught up and gone to the marriage fest of the Lord . For the Lord is first coming FOR His bride then later will come WITH His bride .
And filled primarily by gentiles .
And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy."
Here we notice a change of scene so we may infer from it that the ch.12 is inserted as the Spirit taking stock of the the word of God, the everlasting gospel as preached from the POV of the Word become flesh. Breaking open of seals, the Lamb prevailed over to this honour. In Ch.10 we have the the Angel of the Lord with the little book open reminding,"But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets."(10.7)Thereafter we shall have the Law taking the plug off so the Vanity Fair, preparing for 'the battle of that great day of God Almighty.'(16.14) Chapters 12 and 20 are thus interludes created to give us a breathing space before God leads the saints to the marriage supper of the Lamb. 'Blessed are they which are called' and who entered into the God's rest in faith." And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God."(19.9)
Significance of the Angel of the Lord standing upon the sea and the earth' is to indicate the separation shall be accordance with the Day Three in the Covenant. (Gen.1.9-10; Rev.21.1) In the new heaven and new earth, 'And there was no more sea'. Darkness has made the sea impossible so the beast 'and saw a beast rise up out of the sea," Is going to his doom. The sea which spawned is called the generation of vipers, "But the wicked are like the troubled sea, when it cannot rest, whose waters cast up mire and dirt./There is no peace, saith my God, to the wicked."(Isa.57.20-21) Who took away the peace? In order to quell their wickedness power was given to the rider on the red horse, "and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another. "it is a 'great' sword.
God separated the sea from the dry land; just as darkness covered all the way to the deep. The use of 'great' in the waters tell us how we are to interpret the key verse, "Thy way is in the sea, and thy path in the great waters." The deep is designated as lower parts to which we may assign the bottomless pit. No man may track the footsteps of God. "nd thy footsteps are not known."
The Holy Spirit however gives a clue, "And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit./And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit."(Rev.9.1-2)
What does fifth angel signify? Remember the Parable of the Five wise virgins? They were wise to be watchful of the coming of the bridegroom. A remnant of Israel need to be delevered from destruction. God has also set a king, " And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon." (9.11)
The beast ascends out of the bottomless pit and he is doomed. "And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition. And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast."(Rev.17.11-17)
He is one of Barabbas who also created his dynastical rule of sorts so when Great Britain in 1917 declared Balfour declaration the powers and shakers of the dau wanted to resettle the Jews in Uganda. The then PM could not care less of the Jewish question but through the back door the nations got in. Like the original Barabbas there were number of terror organisations. creating their pathway to statehood clear. The spirit that helped I leave you to guess for yourself. It is history.
"Thy way is in the sea, and thy path in the great waters, and thy footsteps are not known./ Thou leddest thy people like a flock by the hand of Moses and Aaron." This psalm touches on a specific event and God revealed 'thy way' as He led the Israelites through the Red sea. And past danger and when settled in their land they showed what was in their secret place. They rejected God and wanted a king, and the Spirit has set this for our instruction, " Nevertheless the people refused to obey the voice of Samuel; and they said, Nay; but we will have a king over us;/That we also may be like all the nations; and that our king may judge us, and go out before us, and fight our battles."(1 Sam,8,19-20)
What is the secret place of a child of God? "He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty."(Ps.91.1). What was in the secret place of the nation who wanted to be like other nations? Darkness.
The Spirit presents us two generations in Gen.1.2-4 One represents the generation of Jesus Christ, In the other, 'darkness was upon the face of the deep.' He is the covering Cherub who worked through king of Tyrus. " in the day that thou wast created./ Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire./Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee."(Ezek.28.13-15) Generations of kings have had sway over the children of wrath, and and what we see about us tell the truth," I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing." ( Jn 15.5) The nation of Israel refused Jesus and chose Barabbas. Has Barabbas made the world any better. Seven heads of the red dragon cover from rule of kings, democracy and theocracy and it is still hell!
Now this again takes some tact and needs to be approached Biblically; and I pray the Lord guides me in this.
Jesus in the passage in the last posting referred to His disciples as "little children". We are never able to get beyond this in a sense even though we are called to grow into solid food in the meat of the Word. Now He foreknew that all but Judas Iscariot would continue in faith until the end. If you look at the narrative it ain't exactly happening on a surface level. The Disciples were acting immature; asking fire to come down from heaven as with Elijah when Jesus wasn't welcomed in a certain town; arguing who was the greatest and of course all including Peter running away when the soldiers came for Him (not to mention falling asleep at His greatest hour of need). Now some of this no doubt was due to their human weaknesses before the Spirit came down at Pentecost. But we see that it indeed IS all Christ who perseveres in His saints through the indwelling and sealing of the Spirit. This is reflected in our obedience and growth; but of course one only needs to read Corinthians as well as Revelation to the churches to see that indeed there are various rewards or lack thereof for individuals. In one sense we don't know everyone's fate as some can make a deathbed confession and what is truly sad is I have heard at least one instance from someone whose mom turned away from Christ near her death. I get no pleasure in mentioning this. We must heed to His warnings because if we let the loss of a lost person control us we will always be bitter toward God and that can't be overcome without true faith.
A true believer knows that without Christ's grace they would never come to God and ultimately if Antichrist came would worship him; that is the case for me and everyone else. Understanding the Jeremiah 17:9 state of our hearts must continue until death.
We are as Jesus stated all "unworthy servants" Lk 17:10
I am getting into tricky waters here; Lord help me communicate this as you would see fit.
Colossians 2:8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
Galatians 1:6-9 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: 7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. 8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. 9 As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
2 Corinthians 11:3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.
Many are concerned about sin and falling away from Christ. What needs to be realized is passages like this which; if we think about it often aren't of concern before one makes a confession of faith and is in the world; especially if they haven't had a ritualistic religious background in their upbringing. The same principle would exist in the case of Adam and Eve; if there wasn't a tree of the knowledge of good and evil in the first place any attempt to tempt them would be fairly ineffective. Spiritual truth; therefore brings about the opening of the door for the counterfeit lest we should stray from His path. Pride and self righteousness can often be methods where Satan convinces us with all of our actions and activities in church that everything is alright. In short; therefore we need to value God's Word as gold and silver; and such admonitions are in Proverbs as a repeated theme of exhortation. To love someone as we should our Lord is to trust and value Him and hate not only our sin but any false teaching.
We don't often see Jesus rejoicing like this as much of the time if He wasn't rebuking the Disciples He was teaching them. This was a rare moment when we see evangelism; in this case when the 70 were sent out. It is a sobering thought that we don't know how many of these would remain to the end once they got wind of the crucifixion coming near and the increasing opposition from the Pharisees.
I always say that there has to be a balance; and what we can learn from being a seasoned believer is not to let the salt become dull. It is always good to see new believers and their excitement in reaching the lost; but someone truly in the faith won't stop with those efforts after say 6 months or a year. Now situations in life can change; as it was for me taking care of my parents where I was restricted; and moved back to my hometown. I am speaking to myself here as well as I often pass out tracts due to duty rather than rejoicing as I should. We may have learned the hard lessons in life and sadly that involves many these days who have walked away from God; or worse apostatized and continue in the churches. Nonetheless; let us observe what made Jesus rejoice and realize that the focus here was not only on those evangelized but the Disciples themselves who discovered the power over the forces of the evil one. This was a brief moment before persecution and opposition would change course of open extensive evangelism and be centered on warnings about the end times and preparing the Disciples for His departure. We also need to realize that at least a third of the N.T. is focused on the last week of His life in the Gospels.
We are to be in the world but not of it ( John 17:26-etal)
Thank you so much for the study and work you are sharing with us on the assurance of salvation. I for one appreciate what you are sharing as this is probably the most important and crucial topic that leaves no room for error.
You bring up John 3:16, and if I may share this with you, not to discredit anything you have presented thus far, but something that may (or may not) be helpful to yourself and others, and also something we don't catch from our English translation. I hope that this might in some way fit in with the salvation topic you are sharing.
In John 3:16, where it says "whosoever believeth in Him should not perish," it is literally whosoever believeth (into) Him should not perish. This is something we don't catch from our English text, but the Greek text brings this out for us.
The Greek text uses the preposition EIS which means into. It reads, "Ho pisteuon eis auton" which translates to "the one believing INTO Him." Why is this important? It is important because believing in Jesus is not enough, and there are some that say all you need to do is believe in Him and you are saved. Some even use John 3:16 because it says whosoever believes in Him will have eternal life (Salvation).
However, a person can believe in Jesus and still never surrender their life to Him. So, belief alone in Him does not bring salvation. We are told in James 2:19 that even the demons believe and are trembling. A person must believe into Him. That's how the Greek text reads.
Anyway, thank you again for sharing this, and I look forward to reading more from you on this very important topic.
God Bless!!!
