The Lord Jesus Christ did infinitely more than just "put Satan in his place!" By His own sufferings and shed blood and death, Jesus broke the serpent's head; "Behold I give you power over serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy; and nothing shall by any means hurt you..." The blood of Jesus has washed away all our sins and broken the power of sin and Satan over us.

We must be born again in Spirit and not in the flesh I will praise you and worship you Jesus for you are worthy thanks to your blood Jesus amen

WAYNE, I THINK YOU ARE RIGHT, BECAUSE IT DOES SAY SATAN CAN FOOL THE VERY ELECT. SORRY ABOUT CAPS HELPS ME SEE BETTER. I had read this story before, and I wanted to read it again, I couldn't find it, So I asked the Author of this book to show me where the story was, and he did !! But the meat of the story to me is -- No matter what the situation is-- you seek God the FATHER ABOUT IT FIRST !!

Bill; Why do you attack Dan? And what are you talking about, "Jesus attributes this saying to Abraham.." ? You don't really think that Abraham didn't hear God's words or believe he could raise the dead, do you? And how does that have any connection to what Dan and I were discussing? Maybe you should read them again! You might get something different, and not be so hasty to condemn the guiltless.

Bill; why the accusation? and why do you attack me? Haven't I written good things from the mind of the Lord in His Word? I do come to Jesus and seek Him continually, and He is my Lord and Saviour and my best Friend! What was it exactly that I wrote, that makes you say such things? Answer me! What did I write that would make you think I don't come to Jesus or have life? Everyone else also, tell me!

Some say that it was the holy angels; assuming that this was something that was done in heaven. But WE are the children of God especially who are born from above Believers in Jesus, and originally made to be His children. So when we come to present ourselves before the LORD in our worship and prayers and Bible study; this scenario likewise appears: as the devil comes to slander, Jesus intercedes.

Micah was used of God to prophesy but"Holy men of old spoke as God the Holy Spirit moved them". All scripture is of God regardless of who spoke.

David was a good man with normal feelings of love for his son, that didn't change because his son was evil; but his heart was broken inconsolable when he lost his son. Love will be hurt.

This Psalm of Asaph is a great instruction for everyone who is feeling overwhelmed by the difficulty of the way, by their personal struggles and afflictions and griefs. The Lord will one day make us know all things, and why we had to suffer so much.

This Word is against all of Israel's evil neighbors; and will be applied to all of OUR evil neighbors, who have likewise hated us for the Lord's sake. God placed every Country to be neighbors to each other as it pleased Him, and for our good. Pride and envy, old hatreds and unforgiveness, feeding themselves with slanders and lies and perversion with a view to destroy the other; God hates!

I don't know if anyone can rest upon his laurels,as this world is famously full of wickid players listening to their own council.Who can claim a covenant old or new. Who told you you were absolved without an "if"attached?Foolish man! Faulty thinkers search for salvation before the judgement! Jesus came a light to the world. He survived! He put Satan in his place but did not vanguish him! Peace

Ps. 34:19 is comforting, it says 'many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all". Also v. 15 "The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry".

When I lift my face up to him it shows humility. It also proves to him that we acknowledge that we can not make it without his help.

The Holy Ghost is not the new inner man, but the Spirit of God given into our hearts for OUR new life in Christ. We are the heirs of Salvation; and the outward vessels appointed by God to confirm His testimony of Christ, and the Spirit's striving with men to convict them of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment. Did not Jesus say "THY FAITH hath made thee whole! Go in peace...and BE WHOLE! Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both SAVE THYSELF, and them that hear thee." What is the doctrine? Is it not the FULLNESS of what Jesus Christ did for us?! The Old Covenant forgave sin. What does the NEW COVENANT do???

Also, when the Lord God is discussing the fulfillment of prophecy concerning those 483 years from the very date of Artaxerxes' command to the very date of Jesus' crucifixion, He is talking about actual 483 solar calendar years: April, Tuesday the 25th, 0453 B.C. to April, Wednesday the 25th, A.D. 0031.

Michelle Ann; This was a glorious moment in the story of Saul, and speaks also of the Day when Jesus shall be once and for all reconciled to His flesh and blood Brethren the House of Israel, and will not put anyone to death for their past sins and stubbornness and unbelief; for it will be a Day of Reconciliation and Salvation! Wonderful things to think about!

Alex; Brother, I can see that you are thinking a lot about what you read, and are very serious about seeking to understand the Scriptures; but there are some things you're not getting right just yet. We ARE the Heirs with Christ. The Holy Spirit is the Paraclete given into our hearts to sanctify us, and to lead and guide us into all Truth; so that we can be Jesus' witnesses to convict the world.

Cheryl; You are talking about the part where the Lord sends His angels to remove out of His kingdom all the wicked and the bad, and all causes of sin: but that isn't the "Rapture of the Saints" but something that happens simultaneously with the Coming of the LORD and the "Catching Away of the Saints." He empties the earth of the evil to bring us all with Him to begin the Kingdom of God for ever.

v 23 "..and put his household in order, and hanged himself, and died, and was buried.." See the resemblance to Judas Iscariot? Only Judas apparently didn't even care about his house and those he would leave behind! So the end of the DAMNED TRAITOR! Once a friend, but in the end a wicked backstabbing murderer! Oh, but he was an orderly and thoughtful man! (sarcasm)

Hi Jim; I once heard, that "Temptations won't cease till we're 15 minutes dead!" The difference that the Father has put between us and those who will not hear Jesus' voice, is the good and honest heart which acknowledges the truth, bows its head and says O Lord, be merciful to me the sinner! Jesus forgives us the sins and sets us free, and gives us grace and His Spirit to be holy and steadfast.

7-16 Here is a good example of how God entices the wicked by their own wickedness and draws them into His net those who spread a net for Him. The LORD has prepared the means by which HE WILL destroy the wicked and the traitors: and in that plan is our part to get ready for what comes, and let them chase us to draw them into the snare that God has set for them. The LORD will deliver us and save us!
